This would explain why he was perpetually hulked: he's mad about being forced into one. He can't have a beef with any of the Capcom characters or their universe, as he gets mad even during fights in the Marvel universe and roster—even the good guys

Squirrel Girl was purposefully excluded from the series

Her Memetic Badass status would make her too powerful. And the series already has Deadpool for all its fourth-wall breaking needs.

Gene and Daredevil will be added in a future game

And a team of Ammy, Joe and Gene will give the "Lucky Clover" achievement/trophy, while a team of She-Hulk, Daredevil and Wright will get the "Army of Lawyers" achievement/trophy.

Purposely Overpowered Characters

After the MvC2 tier listing was dominated by Marvel characters, Capcom deliberately made characters like Zero, Morrigan and Wesker super-useful for it would be balanced out again.

The Devil May Cry representation will be based on Devil May Cry 5 if MvC4 happens

All of the playable characters from the DMC series should reflect their incarnations from DMC5, meaning that Dante must return, along with Vergil and Trish, with Nero, Lady, and also, new character V as newcomers.

Grandmaster Meio will become Promoted to Playable if MvC4 happens

After all, the Super Smash Bros. series didn't have any playable characters from Metroid that weren't in the form of the protagonist Samus Aran until Ultimate, where two of her greatest enemies, Ridley and Dark Samus get added to the roster, so, due to the MvC series not having any playable characters from Strider besides the protagonist Hiryu, why not let his greatest enemy Meio become playable in MvC4 after appearing as an unfought NPC character in MvC:I's Story Mode?

Phoenix Wright will return in the next game, but will have a more serious move set than last time

Edgeworth and Apollo will be his alternate skins. If the Assist Character returns then some of the duos we could see are:

• Phoenix: Maya Fey/Pearl Fey
• Edgeworth: Kay Faraday/Franziska von Karma
• Apollo: Trucy Wright/Ema Skye
• Athena Cykes: Simon Blackquill/Nahyuta Sahdmadhi (the least likely as these three only appear in the later titles)

The Fantastic Four will be in the next game

A bit of a no-brainer, but it's pretty weird none of them have been playable in the series yet. All four being playable is unlikely, but if even one of them is, that would be awesome.

Loki will be playable (or at least a boss/skin) in the next game.

He's the only villain from the MCU Avengers films to not be playable yet. He was the Big Bad of the original film and his two successors have gotten in with Ultron being in Infinite and Thanos being in a few games already. If he's not playable or a boss, he can be a skin for Thor. It also makes sense to tie in some elements of his Disney+ show to his character and would be cool.

The remaining members who joined the Avengers prior to Infinity War will be playable in the next game.

• Nick Fury is the only member missing from the original
• Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Vision from the sequel
• Falcon and Ant-Man who got involved before the team fractured

The next entry will be on a Nintendo console.

The series doesn't appear on the N64, GameCube, Wii or the Wii U. You have to go back to the SNES games Mutant Apocalypse and War of the Gems to find a Capcom developed Marvel title on a Nintendo device.
