Soushi is trying to turn Kazuki gay so that he can have Maya for himself.

• Suspend your disbelief for a second on the fact that a person can't be "turned gay" since it's biological in nature. It is still possible to have such an influence on a person who is still a teenager and going through their hormones that it leaves them very confused and questioning their sexuality. We've known since early season 1 that Soushi has a thing for Maya. This has never changed. Maya however has feelings for Kazuki. Kazuki's feelings towards Maya are...mostly neutral, but there's no denying how he is around Soushi at this point. Soushi knows that if Kazuki ever returns Maya's feelings, his chances with her are nonexistent. But if he made himself the only person in Kazuki's heart, he actually has a shot with Maya. Even when he was dead and there was nothing between Kazuki and Maya, Soushi appears in Kazuki's dreams and gives him the infamous embrace, making it so that all Kazuki can think about is Soushi. All in all, a plan with this many years put into it is a lot of dedication to get the girl.
  • This is ridiculous even for WMG. He would have had to start doing that when he was like four years old.

In Exodus, Tsubaki Minashiro will have a serious case of Came Back Wrong.

• Going by episode 6, it may not even be Tsubaki. She seems to identify herself as her daughter, of all things.
  • It isn't Tsubaki, but rather her "Daughter" Orihime

At the end of Exodus, Kazuki and Soushi will be the only ones left.

• The ending hints at it, so why not?

Kazuki and Soushi will sacrifice themselves at the end of Exodus.

• This◊ picture seems to hint that they'll both disappear. Whether they give up their lives, become one with the Festum hivemind, or Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence in some other manner, the two of them will be gone by the end of the show.
  • Soushi pulled another sacrifice and was reborn as a child, Goddamn it Soushi

Koyo will return at some point, probably at a crucial time.

• It's possible he may do a repeat of his Heaven and Earth escapades. Assuming, of course, that he didn't bite it during his battle with Kurusu's Mark Nicht.
• The 2nd ending for Exodus shows a brown Eihenjar-model alongside the Sein, Nicht, and Dreizehn. Given its somewhat bulky shoulders that have the Medusa cannons on them, the chances of it being a new Mark Vier are pretty high, so Koyo might be making his epic return.
• Confirmed. He returns in episode 19 in a very similar way as his Heaven and Earth Big Damn Heroes moment

The Love Dodecahedron that's been present since the first season will finally resolve, in one way or another.

• Kazuki seems to be somewhat aware of Canon's feelings for him (whether he returns them or not is an entirely different story, however) and Maya seems to have given up on him, and meanwhile his relationship with Soushi is still ambiguously suggestive. Tsubaki (or rather her daughter) seems to be going for a Slap-Slap-Kiss relationship with Seri, and Maya either doesn't know that Akira likes her, or she does know but doesn't care. And then there's whatever's going on between Fumihiko and Chizuru, not to mention the 3rd generation and NUN pilots, which brings in a whole new slew of unrequited love. Since Exodus is gearing up to be the last entry in the Fafner franchise, this mess of feelings will somehow be resolved, at least partially, whether it be through rejection or reciprocation.
  • Now that Canon is dead that part has been somewhat cleared. And since Exodus seems to be going for an "Everyone Dies" Ending, resolving this is possible but not in the way we hope.
  • Kenji and Sakura have gotten married so that's a love path completed
    • Nope, Love Dodecahedron is still flipped flopped as always. Though it might have changed slightly changed from Soushi being reborn as a child
    • Or not, since Kazuki and Soushi both seem fully convinced they'll meet again with their original personalities in tact.
    • Who fucking knows with Fafner anymore.
    • Not any of us for sure, considering half of the pathways for romance are kinda dead or weird. But then theres the fact of ever looming death and despair and good ol' crystal poisoning via shiny aliens.

That's not Yumiko.

• After she was crushed by the collapsing building, the mir allowed a Festum to assume her body to influence Miwa. She also wasn't wearing her wedding ring after she was resurrected.
  • And Maya will see through it in about 5 minutes flat.
  • Kinda confirmed. According to the CD Drama, it's pretty much confirmed that Yumiko did die during the crush, but Miwa's will gives her a second "life" until she accepts that Yumiko is dead.

The final battle will have all the deceased Fafner pilots come Back from the Dead.

• The new Eihenjar-model is said to be able of connecting directly with the Gordian Crystal of Tatsumiya, which holds the "information" from every single character that has died in it. Also, considering that the new opening shows most of the cast from Season 1 onwards and the Ending hints at Koyo's reappearance with the new Eihenjar "Mark Vier" alongside Sein, Nicht and Dreizehn, it's possible that the final battle of the series will have Eihenjar-model units piloted by the "information" of the pilots that have died since the beginning of the series, including Shouko, Mamoru, Yumi and Ryo, making the series end with a Grand Finale.
  • Even likelier after Koyo reappears.
  • But Kouyu didn't die at all......
    • Sorta confirmed. All the people who died in the first season and the prequel came back briefly in a dream sequence

Dreizehn pilot won't be Canon coming Back from the Dead

• It will be Kurusu
  • It's more likely that it's Kouyo, as of episode 19.
    • Jossed. Kouyo "summons" and pilots his Vier again.
    • Misao is probably going to pilot the Mark Sein, now that Kazuki lost an arm.
    • Jossed Misao is the pilot of Dreizehn and Kazuki recovers and becomes part festum

Akira is in a state of crossing with the currently dead Hiroto

• I really don't think they keep logs of pilots crossings, so how the fuck is he there
• It could be a case similar to Soushi's in Heaven and Earth. Also, considering that Hiroto didn't appear along with the other death characters in the Gordian Crystal in Ep 20 it could be plausible

Maya will be the only one from the original series who remains alive

• Exodus is definitely moving towards this.
• Kazuki, Sakura, Kenji and Soushi live along with Maya. Although Soushi is a kid now and Kazuki appears to have moved past the concept of life and death as a whole.

Kazuki's blessing will teach the festums how to coexist with humans

• I mean he still needs to give his blessing like Orihime told him, and his mother wanted to coexist with the festum. So at the end of the series, he might become the one who fixes this entire festum problem.

Kazuki and Soushi are going to "Become one" and beat the living shit out of the festums

• Anythings possible, right?

Kazuki will become the islands core

• Its hinting towards this
  • Orihime actually says that the power who can converse with Altair is still too young to do so. This actually hints at Soushi.

The entire fandom is going to die by the end of the series, emotionally die

• This is fafner we are talking about

  • We are all dead.

Seri will have changed drastically when she wakes up

• She's sleeping next to the most powerful Mir we have ever seen, to the point every Festum and Mir are trying to get in its good graces so it won't destroy them. And as if that isn't enough we have the fact that Seri is assimilating everything she touches she might even start assimilating Altair and it might try to assimilate her as a result. Then there's the possibility that Altair will change Seri because it grows to like her after sleeping with her. There's other possible reasons and factors that could affect the end result but it's too good an opportunity for the writers to pass up.

Kazuki isn't aging anymore due to the islands Mir blessing him

• I could be entirely wrong however
• It would make sense, considering it's implied he's moved past the whole concept of life and death as a whole.
• The teaser to The Beyond shows him briefly and he does look like he hasn't aged a day.

The event in December on Soushi's birthday is most likely going to be a reveal for another Fafner Movie

• I mean COME ON, THE SERIES LEFT WAY TO MANY LOOSE ENDS TO TIE UP, GIVE US CLOSURE PLEASE.
• Yes please! And it'll show us just what the hell that ending means as a whole.

Kazuki and Soushi are to continuously repeat the cycle of rebirth

• Hear me out here. At the end of Exodus, it's kinda implied that Kazuki may be immortal now due to moving past the line of life and death and in the preview for The Beyond, despite his hair cut, Kazuki really doesn't look that much older. Meanwhile with how Soushi could fit in with this. One possibility is that when he does come back in the next Movie, he get's a boon up with his festum powers or his festum powers have made him immortal already. On the other hand however, him being taken by the festum has started to seem to be a reoccurring theme and him returning as either a baby or just phasing back into existence. Maybe there might be reasoning to this continuous cycle of waiting and repeating, and maybe this reasoning lies in the festum?
  • Also, wasn't it mentioned at some point in the end that Kazuki would continue this waiting cycle? As in, waiting for Soushi to return and all despite the fact that Soushi was reborn as a baby. This seems to imply that this is going to happen a lot more then just twice.
    • As a not so serious result for this theory idea. Maybe the festum just want Soukazu to happen and keep Soushi and Kazuki in a cycle so that it can happen

Soushi 2.0 is probably going to do a stupid thing in the movie and get into the fucking man eating robot despite people probably say "NO"
