I'm Kindred Spirit and a new troper. I'm 19, American with Italian and Polish heritage, and I am awesome like to think I'm awesome pretend that I'm awesome.

I have three personas I tend to use, both in real life and the internet. I'm the quiet guy in the corner, fairly smart, but way too shy to say anything. I'm nerdy, but try to keep that as a less important part of my psychological makeup and how people see me socially, with varying results. I'm the loud braggart who draws the eye everybody. I'm awesome, self confident beyond any reasonable point (I have a theme song. With dancers. I once said, "You. You. Me. Threesome." And left a room, only to have two followers. A friend asked me to be his wingman. I left with four numbers, he, with none. The first time I drove an automobile drove was to take a rambunctious drunk home, during a blizzard. I am William Tiberius Shatner!) I do this act with people I've never met, to give myself some confidence. How long it stays depends on how well it's working. Naturally, this me is a Buttmonkey among the friends who know better. My default internet persona is the Neutral Good guy. I go out of my way to understand people's points. I'm generally nice. If someone wants to do something that doesn't hurt anybody who doesn't want to be hurt, I'm game, even if I'm not interested personally.

I'm nerdy, but I tend to not tell people that I meet this fact because I want it to be the only thing that defines me to my friends or to strangers. I'm into videogames, mainly, but I have a bit of computer nerd to me, and I occasionally watch anime, read webcomics, or play tabletop games.

I draw, although not very well. I listen to music, the style of which varies constantly, from metal/rock, to industrial, to ska-punk, and all sorts of individual selections from other genres. A few favorites include:

Tropes that Apply to Me

  • BecomingTheMask I've slowly become more and more like me as a Large Ham, and I recommend doing such to any other young nerds who feel socially excluded.
  • BullyHunter I used to fight people who bullied smaller kids. I've grown out of it as I've become more jaded/legally liable. I have a few stories of a well earned win and several that end in me being on the wrong end of a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown.
  • ButtMonkey All my friends take turns at this, and most of my jokes are targeted at my Large Ham persona, especially my self invoked UrbanLegendLoveLife.
  • NeverLiveItDown Don't mess with me, or I'll...seduce your grandmother and make you call me grandad. I threatened that ONCE. And never followed through.
  • UnreliableNarrator Aren't we all? But especially take me with a grain of salt if I'm in fullblown Large Ham mode. Even the truth is usually an outright distortion, then.
  • UrbanLegendLoveLife I make things up and distort the truth to my friends all the time, both to give the implication that I'm full of hot air and for plausible deniability when things do happen. Between that, a little confidence going a long way, and some willing participation, it works pretty well.

Feel free to add things about me below this break.

Or be outright mean in the folder below.

Lies, Blasphemy, Insults, Slander, and other fun things
  • THIS IS NOT AN INSULT. 'Weird Al' Yankovic is great. I like his music parodies also. Plus "Rock the Casbah" sung by The Clash and "(Don't Fear) the Reaper" from Blue Öyster Cult (BÖC) are cool, too. (8^) - AlBundyFan365
    • You have excellent taste in music. I'm not a big fan of that particular Blue Oyster Cult song, mostly because it gets overplayed compared to everything else they've done, but it's still good. :) -Kindred
