  • In the second season episode "The One With The Interspecies F-R-I-E-N-D-S"', a game of Taboo goes badly between the Weavers and Bird-Joyner Kersees.
    Marty: Hey, why don't we all just watch some good old fashioned network TV?
    Larry: On Friday night???!!! Bleech!!!
    • Interestingly three episodes later in We've Jumped the Shark (Tank) ! Larry gets obsessed with Shark Tank .... which airs on Friday Night.
• Hey, It's That Sound!: The golf carts used as transportation by the aliens sounds like The Jetsons flying cars.
• Only Barely Renewed: For its second season. And cancelled after that. Some fans have tried to get CBS interested in picking up the show with a more compatable lead in like The Big Bang Theory.
