YMMV / The Neighbors

• Awesome Music: The "Broadway Alien Song" from "Sing Like a Larry Bird" is an intentionally amateurish but decently catchy song where the aliens try to recreate the experience of a Broadway show.
• Growing the Beard: Many fans-and critics-agree that while the pilot was pretty terrible, the show has gotten a lot more enjoyable. Seems to be moving out of YMMV territory as far as the general population goes. See We Don't Suck Anymore.
• Harsher in Hindsight: All those Friday Night Death Slot jabs in season two become a little less humorous with its cancellation.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: All of the other aliens in the neighborhood besides Larry's family are unnecessarily Out of Focus and generall portrayed as living Props incidental to the plot when some fans wanted to see some of them reach secondary character status. Notable examples are Billie Jean (after her energized lines during the aliens' Broadway musical number) and Kareem (after briefly playing Starscream to the Starscream in the second episode).
