• Content Leak:
  • Shortly before the mod was released, a build was leaked on 4chan containing most of the songs apart from "Joe Mama", "Cannibalism" and "Dehydration".
  • Someone uploaded a short leak of Teuthida‘s song, "Bold or Brash", to YouTube prior to the character's reveal. The composer of the song then found out about the video and, rather than requesting it be taken down, simply asked for the video to be retitled "Darnell Wet Fart". The uploader obliged.
• Demand Overload: Not too long after the release of the V2 cancelled build, enough people downloaded the build for Google Drive's server quota to be exceeded.
• Follow the Leader: The release of the incomplete build when this mod was initially canceled was actually what gave the Vs Sonic.exe team the idea to do the same once that mod was officially canceled.
• Non-Singing Voice: Robot Chicken Mr. Krabs' and SpongeBob's lines are pulled from the skit "Cannibalism" is based on, with Mr. Krabs voiced by Seth Green and SpongeBob voiced by Zeb Wells: their chromatics, meanwhile, are sampled from their actual voice actors, Clancy Brown and Tom Kenny.
• Role Reprise: An unconventional example: churgney gurgney/Strum, the composer for Starved's song "Fight or Flight" from Vs Sonic.exe, also composed the track for the Starved-inspired Teuthida, "Bold or Brash".
• Shrug of God: The Twitter account's only answer to why Squidward loses his roof in "Doomsday" is a simple "no idea."
• Similarly Named Works: "Doomsday", Red Mist Squidward's final song, shares a name with a bonus track with Senpai as the opponent in Funkin' Corruption: REIMAGINED.
• Tyop on the Cover: "Plagerize" is a misspelling of "plagiarize". The thumbnails for CalciumLmao's uploads of the song have "Plagarize" written over "Dehydrated".
• Un-Canceled: The reason an unfinished build was released in the first place was because the mod was canceled. However, after overwhelmingly positive reception to said build, it was decided to un-cancel the mod to at least finish it, and then the team decided to go ahead on production with Version 2... before that was ultimately cancelled. The mod was later officially uncancelled◊ again at the end of that same year.
• What Could Have Been: There are numerous characters that were meant to be in but were called off following the mod's initial cancellation, such as SpongeBoy^note one of the earliest drafts of Spongebob, Baby Squidward^note the replacement gag for RandomLand Squidward in "SpongeBob in RandomLand", The Hash-Slinging Slasher, The Flying Dutchman, SpongeBong Hemppants and a few more.
• Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things:
  • A crossover with fellow Squidward's Suicide-themed mod Mistful Tragedy was cancelled due to constant pestering for Yummer to be in.
  • Diabetes Patrick, a creepypasta where Patrick dies from diabetes caused by a very sugary Goofy Goober ice cream, causing him to become realistic and lose his jaw, was scrapped due to overwhelmingly constant requests for him to be in the mod.
