- Despite being incredibly humourous, the Reactsverse still has several Tear Jerker moments.

Volume 1
- The end of Chapter 15 of Vloume 1. The protagonist of Persona3 cameos for a short while and takes one thing from Yang, before leaving. One would assume that this would end humourously, being as it is Weiss Reacts, until The Reveal that the object is a signed picture of Yukari. It just gets worse from there.Minato Arisato: "Yukari....I want to be with you so much, to hold you again..."
- It hits one even harder considering that this comes straight after Nora groinshotting a Space Marine for getting in the way of her and Ren kissing, and Weiss sparring with Saber and wrecking the courtyard.
- Anytime Weiss' Dark and Troubled Past is mentioned.
- Andreas/Kamina and Blake's meeting in the Music Festival arc. Doubles as a Heartwarming Moment.
- To an extent, Blake's backstory, although it turns into a Moment of Awesome due to the presence of Gurren Lagann. Blake also refuses to angst over it and merely views it as a part of life.
- In Homecoming, the Beacon alumni take a moment of silence to mourn Summer, Ruby's deceased mother.
- Velvet acknowledging that she will never really get together with Weiss during her 'Unlimited Yandere Works' prayer. It's subtle, but here, you know she's at least a tiny bit aware that Weiss will never return her affections.
Volume 2
- The Schnee family's backstory. Just....their backstory.
- To put this in detail, Siegfried was beaten and belittled by Siegmund, his father, before finally managing to escape to Beacon and befriending Alexander and Andreas Arc. His father then attempts to take him out of the academy for 'betraying his bloodline'- ending in disowning him when he dates (and eventually marries) Freya, Weiss' mother. He then attempts to kidnap Winter when she's born, only being thwarted by a mass MookâFace Turn and a Foe-Tossing Charge on the Schnee parents' behalf.
- This is not all, however- Siegmund then proceeds to use Summer Rose's death- which, it's implied he had a part in causing- to turn Cinder away from her friends and towards the White Fang to attempt to destroy him. Why? Partly to spite Siegfried, but also to fund himself by selling weapons to both sides of the ensuing civil war. This is the, both In-Universe and out, Moral Event Horizon for Siegmund.
- His final and worst act is to use bribery and blackmail to, while his son grieves over losing both Cinder and Summer, take Weiss away and make Freya move away from Vytal- entirely to make him cross the Despair Event Horizon. It succeeds, and Siegfried is stuck in a Heroic BSoD for, it's implied, several years until he finds out Siegmund hurt his daughter. The ensuing badass return, Roaring Rampage of Rescue and beatdown of Siegmund don't do enough to make up for how badly Siegfried was screwed up by his father....
Volume 3
- Winter's reaction to Jaune's Love Epiphany and Love Confession to Pyrrha. The line at the end brings it all home. The quiet, anguished sobs of Winter Schnee pierced the dead silence.
- The reaction of the characters to canon Volume 3. Especially Penny and Pyrrha's to their deaths.
- Pyrrha is so scarred by seeing it she outright has nightmares about it in the side story Aftermath. It takes Jaune and a lot of hugging and tears to set her right. Not to mention Jaune's own reaction.
- Cinder's reaction is even worse. Keep in mind that, perverted tendencies aside, Reactsverse!Cinder is a Nice Girl. She doesn't only see her canon counterpart cause so much chaos and death in the process, murdering two children and Amber while she's at it, she sees it twice. Her reaction when she finds out that Ozpin's plan to Screw Destiny and prevent the events of canon from happening just emphasises how badly she doesn't want them to come to pass.
- The ending of the School Play Arc:
- Firstly, Jaune's reaction when Pyrrha is sent off on a solo mission. His fear of losing his partner, this time for real, is palpable when he loses his calm over her decision and begs to come with her to help her out.
- The second half of the ending: despite Yang making an Anguished Declaration of Love to Blake, the latter decides to be Just Friends. The chapter closes out on Yang sobbing in her room alone after telling Blake she's okay with that. The chapter even ends without the usual cheery sign-off, emphasising just how down the ending seems to be.
