.- Silent Hill is referenced pervasively in everything, from the theme and feel to the aesthetics and gameplay mechanics, and even inventory sound effects. Slightly subtler ones can be found to Twin Peaks and its rogues' gallery of dream sequence characters, particularly its dancing midget, imitated by the old man.
