- Awful Wedded Life: Where to begin? From financial and emotional abuse to obvious cases of infidelity and blatant paternity fraud of nearly 6 (one of them died so it's 5 now) children, their marriage is anything but happy and stable.
- Domestic Abuse: Vivian regularly abuses Austin both verbally and financially. It's also implied that this abuse has recently turned physical according to Fianna in Our Mangled Household.Fianna (to Someone): I heard Mom and Dad fighting really badly. It was terrible; there was screaming, shouting, yelling, hitting, punching etc. [...] Dad had a black eye and badly hurt arm for the next few weeks [...].
- Who's Your Daddy?: Neither Vivian or Austin are certain of the biological parentage of their 5 children, but one thing is for sure, it's not Austin and it is one Finnish, one Irish and one Native American.
Austin Fox
- Autopsy Snack Time: Played realistically. If he has to perform one and take a lunch break, he'll eat according to the regulations in place but if he can see the corpse e.g. behind a glass wall or window, he'll try and initiate a lunch chat.
- Creepy Mortician: Downplayed as while he is a bit off sometimes with his habit of talking to any dead bodies or organs that are around,
- Henpecked Husband: Played for drama. Austin is the victim of both emotional and financial abuse and it's implied by his daughter that he is also physically abused. Standing up to his wife is practically a mental health hazard with how vicious and vile she can get.
- Papa Wolf: He is very protective of his children and it's implied that he's come to blows attempting to stop the abuse that his wife subjects them to.
- Talking to the Dead: If he has a dead body on his hands, he will vent to them. Otherwise, he settles for using a jarred organ or graveyard.
- The Coroner: Austin is a coroner and does his job with efficiency and empathy.
Vivian Fox née Attelinde
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She's always been a bit of a heel but hid her worst sides all throughout high school, which is the only reason Austin ever fell for her and the other parents didn't stop him. Nowadays she only keeps it up around strangers; friends and family are fair game to hurt.
- It's All About Me: She cares for nobody except herself, not even her own family and she is perfectly fine with throwing whoever she wants under the bus if it suits her.
- Jerkass: An absolutely wretched, vile monster who subsists on hatred and hatred alone.
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Try as she might to act like a nice person, there is nothing in her heart except hatred and destruction.
- Hate Sink: In-universe and out. Vivian is a lying, abusive, narcissistic wretch who regularly cheats on and abuses her husband and children like it's her day job. She has not a single redeeming thing about her and is reviled in-universe.

- Gender Flip: Roxy was created before Funtime Foxy was confirmed to be male, and so she is female here.
- Posthumous Character: She was pronounced dead long before the story began.
- Posthumous Sibling: Downplayed. She was born a few hours earlier than Fianna and Fionn and was pronounced dead shortly after her sister and brother were born. While she died after Fianna and Fionn, it was far too soon for any memories to be made however the twins do remember her (they were both 4) but memories are scarce.
