"We don't need another kid, we can just use our imagination!"
The Baby Bears invent an imaginary friend, but the trouble he causes is all too real.

This episode includes examples of:

  • Actor Allusion: Special guest star Jason David Frank aka the Green/White Ranger appears as Silver Bear.
  • Animal Mecha: Each of the bears have one that matches their real species.
  • Art Shift: During the Bears' fantasies, the backgrounds are rendered in the style of traditional anime backgrounds, which is different from the show's pencil-and-watercolor background style.
  • Captain Ersatz: Ultra Meteorite Fighters is a parody of Power Rangers/Super Sentai.
  • Color-Coded Secret Identity: Grizz’s is red, Panda’s is green, and Ice Bear’s is yellow.
  • Combining Mecha: To fight Black Stone, the bears summon bear mechas that combine into their signature bear stack.
  • Cutting Back to Reality: When the bears are fighting Black Stone, the scene cuts to what’s really happening - them just punching the air wildly as a man sitting on a nearby bench tries to ignore them and go back to reading his magazine.
  • Don't Celebrate Just Yet: The bears cheer after knocking Black Stone to the ground, but their celebration gets cut short when they realize all they managed to do was anger him.
Black Stone: Now you’ve made Black Stone very angry!
  • Eye Cam: We see through Grizz’s eyes as he realizes that the “monster” Silver Bear is about to attack is actually a baby in a stroller.
  • Face–Heel Turn: After being rebuffed by the Baby Bears, Silver Bear becomes the evil Black Stone.
  • Fading Away: As the bears start to imagine him away, Silver Bear begins to fade out of existence.
  • Grappling-Hook Pistol: Panda uses the one that’s attached to his super suit to create a Trip Trap for the Cyclops.
  • Ground Punch: To defeat the evil General Tortoise, Ice Bear punches the ground and kicks the piece of earth that pops out at the armored tortoise (which actually ends up being some poor guy’s car).
  • Homage: The Baby Bears' imaginary adventures pay tribute to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
  • Huddle Shot: We see inside the bears’ group huddle as they try to figure out what to do about the clearly dangerous Silver Bear. They agree to kick him off the team, and then Silver Bear is revealed to have joined the huddle and heard everything.
  • Kneel, Push, Trip: While imagining that they’re using their powers and gadgets to attack a cyclops monster, the bears are actually pulling this move on an innocent little kid.
  • Imaginary Friend: When they can’t find another kid to play their fourth Ultra Meteorite teammate, the bears decide to use their imaginations to make one instead.
  • Lightning Can Do Anything: Lightning strikes Black Stone and makes him grow to three times his size.
  • Mr. Imagination: The Baby Bears use their imaginations to play Ultra Meteorite Fighters in the park, but end up causing very real chaos.
Grizz: [to Panda] Not to fret Ultra Meteorite teammate, we’ll just use the power of imagination!
  • The Power of Friendship: Subverted. Black Stone tells the bears that it’ll take more than the power of friendship to defeat him. However, the bears aren’t planning on using friendship to take him down.
Grizz: A wise person once said, "Who needs friends when you’ve got giant robots?"
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Silver Bear’s eyes glow red when he turns into Black Stone.
Silver Bear: In order to fight evil, one must become it!
  • Show Within a Show: The Ultra Meteorite Fighters cartoon that the bears are watching at the beginning of the episode.
  • Split-Screen Reaction: One is shown when the bears are about to undergo their imaginary Transformation Sequence, just like they saw happen in the Ultimate Meteorite Fighters cartoon. This is when they realize that, unlike in the show, they only have three teammates and are in need of a fourth.
  • Talking with Signs: Because Baby Ice Bear still can't talk, on the second Transformation Sequence, he holds up a hand-written sign with his name.
  • Tornado Move: Grizz uses this move to cut off the giant cyclops monster’s arm.
