On Christmas Eve, the Baby Bears defend a video store from getting robbed.

Tropes:

  • All There in the Script: The video thief's name is shown in the credits to be Harry.
  • An Asskicking Christmas: Downplayed; the bears spend their Christmas Eve defending the video store from Harry.
  • Badass Adorable: The baby bears get their chance to shine in this episode.
  • Bad Santa: Harry disguises himself as Santa Claus to trick the bears into helping him steal movies.
  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: Grizzly observes that there's a man in a strange costume trying to get into the store after hours... so it must be Santa Claus!
Grizzly: Some guy in a costume’s trying to get into the store after hours. You know what’s going on here, right?
    Panda: Oh, I know...
    Grizzly & Panda: It’s Santa!
  • Captain Ersatz: The Grouch from the movie "How The Grouch Robbed Christmas" is pretty much just The Grinch but as a green cat.
  • Christmas Episode: The third one, right after "Christmas Parties" and "The Perfect Tree".
  • Cover Identity Anomaly: Harry, pretending to be Santa, walks in saying “Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!”
Grizzly: Don’t you mean "Ho! Ho! Ho!"?
  • Establishing Character Moment: Harry has several upon his introduction: stealing candy canes from kids, and saying that he likes to steal stuff to the baby bears.
  • Foreshadowing: The thief who ends up trying to rob the video store is first seen returning the movie “How the Grouch Robbed Christmas”. He even says his favorite part was the stealing.
  • Hand Rubbing: Harry does this frequently throughout the episode along with an Evil Laugh to show how devious he is.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Harry does one after being reminded of the nice Christmas he had as a child.
  • Long List: When a little girl asks Grizz for a Christmas movie recommendation, he pulls out a super long list and tells her it’ll only take “an hour, tops”.
  • Loose Lips: The bears naively tell Harry exactly what they’ll be doing after the store closes and that it has no security besides them, unwittingly giving him all he needs to know in order to rob it.
  • Misaimed Fandom: In-Universe, Harry tells the bears that his favorite part from "How The Grouch Robbed Christmas" was "the stealing part".
  • Musical Pastiche: A couple play throughout this episode of well-known Christmas songs including “What Christmas Means to Me” by Stevie Wonder and “White Christmas” by The Drifters.
  • Nobody Here but Us Statues: While running from the thief, Grizz hides on a shelf disguised as a VHS tape.
  • Oh, Crap!: The video store owner when the bears tell him where they found the "extra help".
  • Shout-Out:
  • Stripping Snag: Harry’s Santa disguise is ruined when his fake beard gets snagged on a cardboard standee as he's trying to leave the store with all his stolen tapes.
  • Talking the Monster to Death: The speech Grizz gives to Harry about how Christmas is a time when everyone can be their best selves and that it’s never too late to do something good is what gets him to change his mind about robbing the store.
  • Think of the Children!: Panda begs Harry to do this as he’s about to leave with his bag of stolen video tapes.
  • Unwilling Suspension: The thief captures the three bears in a wreath and hangs them from the ceiling with Christmas lights.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Harry reflects on his happy childhood Christmases, when he was young and innocent.
  • Wingding Eyes: The bears get literal stars in their eyes on being offered the chance to help “Santa".
