Lugnut and Blitzwing have arrived on Earth in search of Megatron, forcing the Autobots to try and get their spacecraft repaired so they can get the AllSpark away from Earth. While a not-so-happy Sari works with an equally grumpy Ratchet to repair the ship, the Decepticons scour high and low to claim the Ancient Artifact, as Lugnut receives word from his glorious master of his survival.
Tropes:
- Berserk Button: Lugnut flips out when Bumblebee mentions Megatron turning "into a fireball somewhere over Cleveland."
- Big "NO!": Sari emits this when the Autobots tell her they have to leave Earth, after Bumblebee expresses confidence that she's a big girl and she'll understand.
- Bratty Half-Pint: Sari displays some of this when, not wanting her friends to leave, she won't cooperate with getting Ratchet to fix the ship. She then tries to sabotage the vessel's repairs, only for the AllSpark to have other ideas.
- Call-Back: Blitzwing says this sector was where they last had contact with Lockdown, which was how they first confirmed where Optimus was.
- Comically Missing the Point: The Autobots decide to tell Sari they have to leave Earth to keep the AllSpark from the Decepticons. She immediately starts screaming at the top of her lungs at the news. Bumblebee thinks she's taking this rather well.
- Failed a Spot Check: Fanzone fails to notice the unusually colored vehicles on the military base. Blitzwing is most egregious in this regard, as he has tank treads in his jet mode!
- Feud Episode: Sari and Ratchet argue for most of this episode. Optimus even recycles one of Galvatron's lines from the G1 movie to try to dispute their differences.Optimus: Like it or not, you two are partners. Allies. Friends. That's an order! [collaborate to repair the Ark]
- Foreshadowing:
- The AllSpark shows Sari her key restoring Megatron.
- The design of the Wave-Motion Gun deployed from the Ark might look familiar to people familiar with the G1 series.
- Hearing Voices: Megatron communicates with Lugnut on his comlink frequency, which prevents everyone else from hearing it. As such, while Lugnut communicates with Megatron without a second thought, everyone else thinks he's nuts.
- Heel Realization: Sari breaks down crying after Ratchet saves her from her own attempts at sabotaging the ship. The old medic understands, as he's come to care about this planet, and especially her, to leave it at the Decepticon's mercy.
- Hidden Heart of Gold: Ratchet tells Sari that the real reason he wants the Autobots to leave Earth immediately is because he fears what the Decepticons will do to humans.
- Honor Before Reason: When the humans pursue the Decepticons, Blitzwing suggests they hide. Lugnut refuses, wanting to fight to the bitter end in his master's name. An annoyed Megatron has to get him to stand down and hide.
- Internal Reveal: Lugnut makes contact with his beloved leader Megatron, though Blitzwing and Starscream remain in the dark about his survival.
- Oh, Crap!: Sari when seeing the vision of a restored Megatron.
- Suddenly Shouting: Surprisingly, the Hothead Blitzwing, who's perpetually shouting, does this.Hothead Blitzwing: "I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times: GIVE ME SOME WARNING BEFORE YOU USE ZE PUNCH!"
- Take a Third Option: When Blitzwing's Icy and Hothead personalities can't decide on an Earth alternate form, Random suggests they take them both.Icy Blitzwing: Jet.

Icy Blitzwing: Ze jet.
Hothead Blitzwing: TANK!
Random Blitzwing: Ha ha, why not scan both? - That Liar Lies: Lugnut announces this when Bumblebee tries to tell him that Megatron exploded in a cosmic fire storm back in "Transform and Roll Out Part 1".
- Tough Love: In the ending, Sari adopts this from Ratchet when tending to Bumblebee's injuries with her key. When he asks her a favor to use it to enhance his capabilities, she grouchily calls him out on treating the key like some toy or quick fix.
- Understatement: Megatron opts not to directly inform Blitzwing of his survival, due to the guy being "a bit unstable."
- Undying Loyalty: This is why Megatron allows Lugnut the privilege of learning of his survival, as he feels the big guy is the only one trustworthy enough to carry out his will.
- Wham Shot: Lugnut and Blitzwing are left floating in the middle of Lake Erie, until Starscream shows up to rescue them.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!:Icy Blitzwing: The Autobots have called in reinforcements. Perhaps we should lay low until we can determine their strength and numbers.
Lugnut: I will not hide. I will stand proudly and shout Megatron's name to the heavens!
Megatron: Oh, for spark's sake...- Similarly, both Sari and Ratchet have this reaction when Prime orders them to work together to fix the ship.
