The Turtles and Renet continue their quest to thwart Savanti in Transylvania, where they are plagued by werewolves and Count Dracula himself.

Tropes:

  • Agony of the Feet: As Dracula is about to bite Esmeralda, Vulko stabs him in the foot with a wooden stake.
  • As You Know: The group spends a minute recapping the events of the previous episode at the beginning of this episode.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: At the end of the episode, Savanti not only escapes with Dracula and the Mummy, but also with Esmeralda’s dad Vulko in werewolf form and Raphael who’s been turned into a vampire.
  • Bat Out of Hell: The group is attacked several times by bats, as would be expected when dealing with Dracula.
  • Bullet Catch: Leo tries to shoot Dracula with a stake gun, but is thwarted when Vampire!Raph jumps in and catches it with his teeth.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Donnie is given a mystical symbol of protection to use on Dracula, but it initially has no effect on him; as Dracula explains, he has to have faith in order for it to actually work. Later, he decides to have faith in it like he has faith in his brothers, and it successfully wards Dracula off.
  • Coat, Hat, Mask: Renet gives the Turtles long trench coats and hats as disguises and they’re already wearing masks as part of their normal attire.
  • Continuity Nod: Savanti references the Netherworld, the domain of Kavaxas.
  • Dashingly Dapper Derby: Part of Raph's monster-hunting attire.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Mikey gawks at Renet as she takes her helmet off in slow motion.
  • Depleted Phlebotinum Shells:
    • Leo is given a wooden stake-shooting gun by Renet, and Mikey is given an arm-mounted stake-shooting crossbow.
    • Savanti uses an ultraviolet light against Dracula to force him to obey.
  • Downer Ending: As Savanti puts it, he's leaving Transylvania with what he wanted to get and more, now bolstered by Dracula, a bitten Raph, and the transformed Vulko.
  • Demoted to Dragon: Dracula is forced to become a lieutenant of Savanti, and isn't pleased with it one bit.
  • Devil Complex: When Dracula meets Savanti, he presumes he is the Devil come to take him to "the netherworld." Savanti goes along with it as a means of manipulating him.
  • Dracula: The monster the Turtles must find in this episode is none other than the Lord of Vampires himself.
  • Dragon-in-Chief: While Savanti may be the one in charge, Dracula provides the bulk of Savanti's new forces and is the one controlling them, and is seeking to usurp him.
  • Face–Monster Turn: Raph is bitten by Dracula soon after their arrival, and quickly turns against his brothers.
  • Fight Dracula: The plot of the episode in a nutshell: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Dracula.
  • Hellish Horse: The Turtles are briefly pursued by the Headless Horseman, who drives a carriage pulled by these.
  • Holy Burns Evil: The symbol of protection burns Dracula's skin and wards him off... once Donnie actually has faith in it.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: After Raphael gets turned into a vampire, he’s able to transform into a bat just like Dracula. However, since he’s already a mutant turtle he ends up being quite a…unique creature.
  • Monster Mash: Throughout this episode, the Turtles face a Wolf Man, Dracula, a Mummy, and the Headless Horseman.
  • Mythology Gag: In Volume 4 of the original Mirage comics, Raphael was bitten by a vampire, though there, the vampire virus mixed with the mutagen in his blood and turned him into a dinosaur-like monster.
  • Now That's Using Your Teeth!: Vampire!Raph catches a wooden stake fired at Dracula with his teeth and crushes it.
  • Oh, Crap!: The Turtles' reaction when Renet reveals that Savanti plans to recruit Dracula.
  • Orifice Invasion: Disturbingly, the Mummy reaches down into Vulko’s throat to retrieve the silver coin that he swallowed in order to turn him back into a werewolf.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: Raph is bitten by Dracula, but he will not become a full vampire if he does not bite anyone.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: The alpha werewolf is the usual man-wolf, whereas the other werewolves have more in common with Savage Wolves.
  • Papa Wolf: Vulko stabs Dracula in the foot with a wooden stake to save Esmeralda.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Subverted. Renet dresses the Turtles up in monster hunting attire when they arrive in Transylvania in an attempt to help them blend in; Vulko and Esmeralda still realize almost immediately that they're not human. This is sarcastically lampshaded by Leo:
Leo: Great disguises, Renet. We blend right in.
  • The Renfield: Raphael becomes this after being turned into a vampire by Dracula, acting as his minion.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Leo references Van Helsing when the Turtles are given their new attire.
Leo: I feel like Van Helsing! But way cooler than him actually, way more rad than Van Helsing.
    • The alpha werewolf, later revealed to be Vulko, bears strong resemblance to the werewolf design from An American Werewolf in London with its over-the-top, ghoulish face.
    • Mikey recommends the use of silver against the werewolves, as he learned from The Growling, a parody of long-running werewolf film series The Howling.
    • Esmeralda is a walking reference to the character of the same name from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, albeit in a different setting. Her attire bears strong resemblance to the Disney adaptation of the character.
    • When the gang is being chased by the Headless Horseman and throws his jack-o-lantern head right at them, referencing Sleepy Hollow.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: When Savanti confronts Dracula, the vampire believes that Savanti is the actual Devil come to collect him. Savanti rolls with it and uses his technology and powers to cow Dracula to obey him.
  • Too Slow: Donnie tries to bludgeon Dracula with the staff Renet gave him... but Dracula effortlessly catches it, says this word for word, and then tosses him aside.
  • Vampires Hate Garlic: Esmeralda uses a garlic chain to restrain Raph and keep him docile.
  • Vampire Vords: Not just Dracula himself, but everyone in Transylvania speaks like this. Raphael begins to as well after he’s been turned into a vampire.
  • Virus-Victim Symptoms: Upon being bitten by Dracula, Raph gets ill and even vomits at one point, and possesses the telltale vampire bite marks.
  • Weakened by the Light: Exploited by Savanti against Dracula using UV rays.
Savanti: Ultraviolet light should be especially painful for you, vampire.
