Mario has challenged EVERYONE IN THE SMG4 UNIVERSE to climb his tower full of trials and obstacles! WHO WILL MAKE IT TO THE TOP!?

In this special Mario Channel presentation, Mario challenges over 100 characters from throughout the series to make it through 9 floors full of various challenges. Who will manage to make it to the roof?

This episode is notable for not only solidifying Meggy as a major cast member, but also being the debut of Shroomy, the first fully original character in the series not based on a pre-existing Nintendo character.

  • Accidental Murder: In the shooting floor, a Mr. Blizzard accidentally shoots a Koopa when attempting to fire his gun while holding it backwards. Later, Heavy accidentally snipes a Goomba while aiming for the target.
  • Amusingly Awful Aim: Heavy's aim is hilariously awful. His first shot hits the glass behind the target, while his second goes completely off course and hits a Goomba.
  • A-Team Firing: After failing to snipe the target twice, Heavy pulls out a minigun. Somehow, he still manages to miss.
  • Audience Surrogate: Mario is just as taken off-guard by Shroomy’s sudden appearance as the audience.
  • Bait-and-Switch Compassion: In the maze, Boopkins gets cornered by a Dead Hand and only has a single banana to defend himself. Suddenly, Donkey Kong bursts through the door angrily, with Boopkins delighted to be getting rescued. Donkey Kong then proceeds to merely steal Boopkins's banana before walking off, leaving Boopkins to die.
  • Bottomless Pits: The first floor contains a massive pit that needs to be crossed. SMG4 attempts to run across the gap, which fails, E. Gadd cheeses the pit with a jetpack, and several Goombas attempt to cross the pit by bridging over it.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper:
    • Heavy gets taken out by Mario during the shooting floor due to Heavy using a minigunnote , clearly breaking the single rule the floor had of only using three shots at most.
    • During the Wheel, Wario rigged the wheel a bit from "Survive being pushed off a plane" to "Survive getting free money", what he didn't take into account for is that having the money be shot out of a minigun, and the money in question being giant gold coins, he gets taken out as a result.
  • Dark Horse Victory: Shroomy makes his debut as the last man standing, despite not appearing before in this or any previous episode. Even Mario is confused by his sudden appearance.
  • Diagonal Cut: Steve runs through a floor of swinging blades and comes out seemingly fine, before his head abruptly falls off, causing him to shout “Damn it!”.
  • Dreadful Musician: During the wheel, Link gets challenged to sing a beautiful song. His attempt at "I Will Always Love You" consists of him grunting and screeching off-key to the song, which makes X cover his ears and Mario's monitor crack.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: Bob's "joke" to Gobbles is to merely call the latter a "giant stone douchebag". Unsurprisingly, Gobbles crushes Bob instead of laughing at this insulting "joke".
  • Dude, Where's My Reward?: Mario's challenge is a massive deadly gauntlet. The reward inside the Mystery Box you get for being the sole winner of it? A coupon for 10% off chicken nuggets at McDonald's that expires "tomorrow".
  • Flipping the Bird: Wario does this to Bowser upon the latter screaming and running off in fear upon seeing Wario pick his nose.
  • Head Crushing: Waluigi is hit directly in the face with a large amount of junk during the slope, culminating in an entire grand piano hitting him in the face, which flattens his head and kills him.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: During the wheel, Wario almost ends up being forced to survive being thrown out of a plane, but blows on the wheel so it ends up on “survive getting free money” instead. However, the money is fired from a giant minigun, which proceeds to obliterate Wario.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: During the shooting floor, Meggy manages to fire her gun one-handed while looking away from the target and still get a perfect bullseye.
    Heavy: Ahh! Is not possible!
  • Jet Pack: E. Gadd uses one to cheese the pit. He later attempts to use it to cheese the slope, only to be hit and eliminated by a folding chair.
  • Killed Offscreen: Boopkins is cornered by a Dead Hand in the maze, and the elimination X appears on screen while he's still alive. Cut to the next floor, and he's not present.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Po pushes a Thwomp in front of him to endure a sawblade in the wall so the former can get past. Mere moments afterward, he turns a corner and gets pushed off a platform into a Bottomless Pit by a trick wall.
  • Man on Fire: During the gargoyle, Boopkins and Bowser tap dance so hard and fast that they both spontaneously combust while yelling in pain. Gobbles loves it and allows them both to pass.
  • Merit Badges for Everything: Shroomy claims he built his rocket launcher, and learned how to do it in mushroom scouts, before showing off his own "rocket launcher crafting badge" on his sash.
  • Mystery Box: Mario shows one off as the reward for the one who manages to win his great challenge. When Shroomy does so and opens the box, it's revealed to contain a single coupon for 10% off chicken nuggets at McDonald's that expires "tomorrow".
  • Pie in the Face: During the gargoyle, Wario throws a pie into Luigi's face. Gobbles laughs at this, allowing them both to pass.
  • Puff of Logic: The Goomba that Heavy accidentally shot initially looks to the Heavy and realises it was just shot. Only then does it suddenly get launched from the bullet's propulsion.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Mario talks about Gobbles the gargoyle as a friend of his. Despite their friendly relations and agreeance to work together, this video serves as Gobbles's first and only appearance.
  • Scout-Out: Shroomy proclaims to be a member of the "Mushroom Scouts" and wears a large sash decked out in merit badges. His behaviour also matches that of a stereotypical boy scout.
  • Squashed Flat: Upon stepping on a rigged platform in the mushroom, Toadette gets crushed by it against the ceiling.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: During the Wheel, a Piranha Plant gets challenged to survive an intense meteor shower. It confidently announces that it's on, before the meteorshower hits it. When all the smoke and fire clears, all that remains of the Piranha Plant is some ash and dust.
  • Writers Cannot Do Math: The participant count at the very beginning of the video displays "120". Therefore, this means that the death count should be 120, 119 participants plus Mario at the end, right? Wrong. Counting every body in the video results in the sum of 182 deaths, more than even the count of people who entered the game at the beginning.

Bowser and Wario

Bowser opens a door in the monster-infested maze, then becomes terrified of what he sees and runs away. Then the camera shows what he saw: Wario picking his nose.
