Tassel: (pops out of the book) Woah nelly! Thanks to Master Logos, we're all now in quite a pickle!
At the very least, my body's finally back to normal. (stretches)
It seems that Touma Kamiyama has once again saved the world from certain doom during my absence.
(Hayato, in Bird form, approaches him)
I take it that you've spoken to your precious son? (Hayato wordlessly flies off) Ah, you're leaving already...
(suddenly gasps) Wait! The girl who connects both worlds...! (quickly exits)

With the power of the new Seiken that Touma has acquired, the world is saved and the damage from the crisis is instantly fixed. However, some swordsmen, despite working with Touma, are still lacking their own convictions, with Ryoga and Reika attempting to steal back the other Wonder Ride Books. As for Issac, he senses the power derived from Touma's new Xross Saber, and continues to advance his plan as Touma and Rintaro confront him and Storious. Are there any more secrets about this new Seiken that Issac wants?

Episode Tropes

  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: Master Logos initially responds to Touma's questioning his motives by implying a Lost Lenore plot only to immediately turn around and flat out admit he is just bored out of his mind.
  • The Bus Came Back: Tassel/Victor returns to narrate Touma's adventure after being absent for 13 chapters.
  • Call-Back: The Shindais raiding Southern Base to retrieve Wonder Ride Books calls to mind their doing the same to Northern Base just 7 chapters prior, but with them on a different team this time.
  • Character Development: Implied. Ren conducts himself around Kento in a way that signifies he's on the verge of a change. His commitment to Might Makes Right is even stated with determination instead of the childish stubbornness from previous encounters.
    • The Shindai siblings are starting to show lighter sides to their personality - Reika's admiration of her brother is becoming more blatant and even the stubborn Ryoga is saying the occasional kind thing.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Solomon gets entirely wrecked by Xross Saber.
  • Defrosting Ice King: Ryoga lets out a genuine "thank you" after his wounds are treated by Touma's group. The others immediately poke fun at him, especially Rintaro. Reika unintentionally joins in by squeeing about how cute her brother is when shy.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Master Logos sarcastically demands a thanks for setting the events of 15 years ago, because otherwise Luna would make Touma the new guardian of Wonder World, thus causing him to cease existing. The way Isaac puts it, Touma owes him his life and should be grateful for that. Needles to say, Touma is not amused.
  • Evolving Credits: The show finally has an updated opening sequence after almost 15 episodes, accounting for its bigger roster.
  • Foreshadowing: Kento mentions early in the episode that the Kurayami has stopped showing him futures. Near the end of the episode, he receives a vision about a future where Storious destroys the world.
  • Freudian Excuse: Subverted. Master Logos outright admits the only motivation he has for his plans is boredom.
  • Good Costume Switch: Downplayed. Kento wears his old Sword of Logos outfit over his undersuit as Calibur after returning to Northern Base.
  • He's Back!: Kento appears to have mostly recovered by now, as he plays along with Touma's Momotaro, jokes around and genuinely smiles for the first time in a very long time. Everyone welcomes him with open arms when he officially returns to the Northern Base.
  • Ironic Echo: After delivering a beatdown to Solomon, Touma offers him his hand and a chance to atone for his sins and help build a better world. Storious spirits Isaac away before he could respond, but it's unlikely he would have accepted anyway. His words later in the Megid's base confirm that this only made him double down on his conviction.
  • Mundane Utility: Touma uses the Xross Saber's creation power to instantly cosplay as Momotaro, and Rintaro and Mei as Momotaro's dog and monkey companions.
  • No-Sell: Solomon is absolutely powerless to do anything against Xross Saber during their fight.
  • Redemption Rejection: Isaac seemed to be actually offended by Touma's offer of second chance and waltzed over it without too much thinking.
  • Refusal of the Call: Twofold. The Shindai Siblings and Ren still refuse to officially ally with Touma's group. However, most of the hard feelings between these parties are starting to lessen.
  • We Can Rule Together: Isaac offers Touma a place in his utopia due to the latter's sheer power. Touma naturally rejects said proposal.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: How Touma phrases his offer of a second chance to Master Logos. His clan has done great things, created the Guild and protected the world for generations. If he just remembered that and joined the swordsmen, they could protect the world together. It falls on deaf ears, obviously.
  • You Owe Me: Isaac attempts to invoke this, implying he "saved" Touma from his destiny of death by causing the events from 15 years ago and thus should be allied with. Touma doesn't pretend to buy it.
