Ready? Sego!

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Death 32: Redstone Ned tries to build a self-aware redstone device only for it to become SHODAN, who immediately kills him.
  • Blob Monster: Deaths 6 and 42: "Night of the Living Boogers" (death by Slimes) and "Night of the Living 2: Wrath of Satan's Nostrils" (death by Magma Cubes).
  • Call-Back: Death 23, "Winning Too Many Staring Contests in a Water Temple", which shows a player being killed by tons of Guardians' eye beams, is a call-back to Death 21 in the previous episode, in which a player is shown being killed by a bunch of angry Enderman.
  • Die Laughing: The Laughing Person dies from laughing too hard by watching the previous episode.
  • Don't Eat and Swim: Parodied in Death 47, where after a beachgoer eats a single melon slice and walks into the water, she immediately explodes.
  • Fun with Subtitles: In Death 50, the subtitles are used to translate the scientists' Techno Babble into Layman's Terms, though this is hilariously inverted when the final step is initiated.
  • Grandfather Paradox: In Death 35, SabrinaTheNewAgeWitch drinks a Swiftness 123 potion, making her run so fast she travels back in time to 1985 on her wedding day. Upon arrival, she accidentally kills the groom, the priest, and her past self, causing her present self to fade from existence.
  • Greed: The name of Death 4. Jerkwad opens a trapped chest that reads "Free Diamonds! (For Real!)", which ignites the TNT below it and blows him up.
  • Happy Birthday to You!: Parodied. In death 29, BlondWolfGirl starts to sing the song to her pet wolf Rover for turning one minute old, before being shot to death by a police squad for, as the title states, violating copyright laws.
  • Homage: Death 50, "Splitting A Bedrock Block" is one to the ever famous Renosance Cascade, the bedrock playing the part of GG-3883.
  • Magic Potion: The Running Gag of this episode is SabrinaTheNewAgeWitch drinking overleved potions and dying after they work too well.
  • Rasputinian Death: In the second-to-last death of the video, Redstone Ned successfully avoids death by being crushed by an anvil, bombarded with arrows, blown up by TNT, falling from a great hight, and being smothered by gravel, all one-after-the-other. When Ned mocks the creator asking if that's all he's got, the creator responds by killing him with the /kill command.
Ned: "You son of a glitch. (dies)"
  • Shout-Out:
    • Death 13 shows an avatar named "Neo001" realize he's in a computer game, before being slain by a player wearing a skin resembling Agent Smith.
    • Death 21 shows a player finishing off a group of monsters, before Sans comes in and kills the player with giant bone sprites for killing too many monsters. He returns in Death 40 where he kills Stu by slamming him around the room for spoiling the game for Ned.
    • Death 31 shows a king being slain by a Killer Rabbit for (as the title puts it) stealing all the carrots in Caerbannog.
    • In Death 32, Ned builds SHODAN from System Shock out of redstone.
    • In Death 33, "Getting Lost in Nostalgia", the victim is eaten by Pac-Man.
    • When Sabrina travels back in time in Death 35, she leaves behind a trail of flames like the DeLorean does when it time travels.
    • Death 36, SnakeTheJaik is doing a stand-up comedy act making fun of Legolas. Legolas, who's watching this on a computer, reacts angrily and fires an arrow into the distance, which we see kills Jake.
    • The final death of the episode, "Spliting a Bedrock Block", plays out very similarly to the beginning of Half-Life. The facility that the experiment takes place in is even called "Block Mesa".
  • Stuff Blowing Up: A handful of deaths.
  • Sudden Musical Ending: In the original upload, the video ended with a Song Parody of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" sung by Jake, with Snake, Ned, and Stu playing the instruments. However, due to a copyright claim for including the same melody as the original song, the original video was taken down and in the re-upload, the song was replaced with a lobotomized version. The original song is still available to watch on its own music video, which Jake Eyes said will not be taken down even if it gets claimed.
