Dorien puts forward having a car-boot sale, and the girls are keen - Sharon is hoping to get rid of some of Chris's old stuff, and Tracey desires to sell things that her son Garth has outgrown. However, while their clearing out possessions, an old photo is found with Darryl at a party, under the table with some other woman. Sharon proceeds to get chucked out of the house by Tracey for keeping it a secret. They eventually decide to make up however.

  • Added Alliterative Appeal: Sharon tries to apologise to Tracey by asking "Truce Trace?".
  • Alliterative Title: Krypton Komix, the comic shop whose card Tom gives Sharon.
  • Auto Erotica: Dorien wants to have sex with Tom in his van.
  • Blackmail: Dorien is immune to it claiming Marcus trusts her for some strange reason.
  • Captain Obvious: After seeing Tracey and Sharon's mood change the second Tracey finds an old pair of shoes, Dorien comments the shoes must have something to do with it.
  • Continuity Nod: Tracey mentions to Sharon to not mention Patsy Edwards or Manfred from Berlin when Darryl gets out.
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: If Tracey found the shoes at the start of the episode, she would've never believed Darryl had been cheating on her.
  • Deadpan Snarker:
    • After seeing Sharon doing some cleaning, Dorien dryly asks Tracey if she's going to introduce her to the new cleaning lady.
    • Dorien misses Luke because he was raw and unseasoned, so Tracey remarks:
      Tracey: You make 'im sound like a slab a'beef steak!
    • After Dorien tells Sharon that ignorance is bliss, she snaps back that Marcus must think he's died and gone to Heaven.
  • Delayed Reaction: Tracey laughs after finding out she was the slag that Darryl didn't fancy, then realises this and threatens to kill him.
  • The Dreaded Toilet Duty: When we first see Sharon, she's been cleaning the toliets. She's annoyed by this and wonders why Tracey isn't doing this.
  • A Family Affair: Sharon fears that Darryl may have snogged her (instead of his wife and her sister Tracey) at a party. Subverted when it's revealed that Darryl kissed Tracey all along.
  • Feud Episode: Tracey and Sharon fall out over Sharon not telling Tracey about a photo of Darryl seemingly cheating on her.
  • Garage Sale: The plot of the episode hinges on the girls preparing a car boot sale.
  • Get Out!:
    • Tracey kicks Sharon out for not telling her about the photo of Darryl.
    • Dorien threatens to kick out Sharon for not telling her the gossip.
  • Got Me Doing It: Dorien briefly picks up Tracey's accent.
    Dorien: She don't- I mean, she doesn't want it.
  • Grail in the Garbage: Dorien sells Marcus' Batman comics to Tom for a fiver, then finds out they were worth a fortune.
  • Groin Attack: Tracey taps Darryl's groin while interrogating him.
  • He Cleans Up Nicely: Tom scrubs up nice for someone who looks like a builder.
  • Hypocrite: Tracey is furious when she sees a photo of Darryl kissing an unknown woman, yet later in the episode brings up her past involvements with Patsy Edwards and Manfred from Berlin.
  • I Was Quite a Fashion Victim:
    • Tracey, Sharon and Darryl all laugh about the perm Kieth Wheeler used to have.
    • Sharon remembers a garish pair of blue and yellow platform shoes she used to wear.
  • Kissing Under the Influence: Darryl made love to a woman (eventually revealed to be Tracey) after consuming a decent amount of alcohol at a party, with neither being aware of it.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: Tracey believes Darryl cheated on her at Kieth Wheeler's party, but at the end of the episode finds out that it was her all along.
  • Mistaken for Gay: After hearing Darryl cheated on Tracey, Dorien remarks prison does that to some men.
  • Morton's Fork: Tracey states that if Sharon reveals that Darryl was under the table with someone else, then she gets chucked out. She also states that if she doesn't reveal this, then she'll get kicked out anyway.
  • Noodle Incident:
    • Apparently, Sharon once spilled biryani down the back of the radiator.
    • Darryl claims half of North London wore cowboy boots after Kenny Lawrence turned over a show factory.
    • Sharon mentions doing a strip tease on one of her birthdays to "Sing Along With Max".
  • One-Shot Character: Tom Lucas.
  • One-Steve Limit: Dorien mentions Melanie Fishman picking up a builder named Jason. Jason was also the name of one of Garth's friends in "Baby Come Back".
  • One-Word Title: The title of the episode is "History".
  • Recognition Failure: Sharon has no idea who John Major is (keep in mind that at the time of the episode's airing, he was the Prime Minister).
  • Right in Front of Me: Darryl tells Tracey he didn't fancy the girl he was kissing at Kieth Wheeler's party and that she was an ugly slag. Then at the end of the episode we find out he was kissing Tracey the whole time.
    Sharon: You're the ugly slag he didn't fancy!
    Tracey: Yeah! (Beat) The bastard! I'll kill him!
  • Ship Tease: Sharon calls Darryl hunky.

    • Sharon would rather French kiss Hannibal Lecter than clean Dorien's house.

    • Tracey recalls when Sharon used to claim Chris had eyes like John Travolta.
    • Sharon remembers Chris used to snog great to "Three Times a Lady".
    • Sharon mentions her and Tracey used to throw more parties than the Young Conservatives.
    • Sharon makes a joke about wearing a bin bag to the first Sex Pistols concert and getting Johnny Rotten's autograph.
