The lemur kingdom has entered a large scale peace treaty with many of the other kingdoms of Madagascar. While this is celebrated at first, all the outsiders hanging out in the kingdom begins to get on peoples' nerves, and Abner and Becca seize the chance to take over the kingdom by convincing Julien to build a wall around the borders of the kingdom, and a catapult to fling any outsiders caught inside.
Tropes:
- Call-Back: When Clover is arrested for Julien's exile, Ted mentions that he's become the new Captain of the Ringtail guard, likely as a result of promotion as he was mentioned to be Assistant Captain of the Ringtail Guard in "Eat Prey Shove"
- Catapult to Glory: When Julien fights back against the wall, Abner and Becca invoke When All You Have Is a Hammer… and use their catapult to fight back by throwing lemurs at him.
- Didn't Think This Through: Invoked. While building a wall to keep outsiders out of the kingdom only to trap most of the outsiders inside the kingdom with no apparent way to get them out seems like poor planning on the lemurs part, it's all exactly according to LALA's master plan.
- Easily Forgiven: Julien is quick to trust Abner and Becca even against protest that they've tried to kill him several times now.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: While Hector takes great joy operating the catapult, once he realizes he's next, he simply launches himself away before he can be launched at anything.Hector: I may be old and cranky but I'm not stupiiiid!
- The Great Wall: The subject of the episode; LALA convinces Julien to build a wall around the kingdom to keep outsiders out, and deliberately have it built without any doors and also without evicting any of the outsiders first so that a catapult is required to fling them (and King Julien) out of the kingdom.
- Groin Attack: When Ted gets catapulted over the wall, he doesn't quite clear it and smashes his groin against one of the spikes.
- Heroic BSoD: Letting himself get thrown out of the kingdom hits Julien hard, and he needs a pep talk from Pineapple before he's ready to fight back.
- I Have Your Wife: When Dorothy comes to give Ted his lunch, Clover takes her hostage.Dorothy: Ted, do something!
Clover: You're not going to do anything but let me out, aren't you Ted?
Ted: Hm...
Clover: Ted!
Ted: Hold on, I'm thinking!
Dorothy: Ted! - Reset Button: After the outsiders help Julien tear down the wall, he welcomes them back to live in the kingdom, but life in the lemur kingdom is just a bit too crazy for the outsiders to handle so they go back home to their own kingdoms.
- Took a Level in Badass: This is LALA's most flawlessly executed plan yet, Becca even manages to beat Clover in combat by attacking her when she's distracted by Julien and Maurice being flung out of the kingdom. The literature found in their base suggests this is because they have been actively studying how to more effectively take over the kingdom.
