Pantheon: GUAG Superhero Division

A subset of the Combat Division dedicated to the caped crusaders and spandex saviors. Metahuman or otherwise, they stand together to battle the forces of the GUAE. They are currently stationed in an advanced version of the Justice League Watchtower satellite mixed with Stark Industry Technology and all the comforts of the Avengers Mansion.

And no, there's no 'Superhero Registration' thing here. They've had enough bullshit with that previously. (Though this doesn't mean they don't have any rules. They will keep each other under control, but feel no compulsion to register the group with the governments. Besides, Cosmos says that actions speak louder than anything, so as long as they fight for good, she doesn't need to have their secret identities on record)

The Superhero Division is led on top by Captain America and Batman, who serve as commander and head strategist, respectively. Their field leader is none other than Superman. Batman also serves as the head monetary coordinator, along with Iron Man.

Clark Kent/Superman, God of Superheroes (Kal-El, The Man of Tomorrow, The Last Son of Krypton, The Man of Steel)
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: A shield with an "S" on it.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining: For Truth, Justice, and the American Way!
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Good Guy leader. Loyalty given.
  • Threat level to Melkor: VERY High. By sheer power and experience alone, Supes is one of the biggest threats to Melkor's army, but he's also such an insanely determined and inspirational hero, it's hard for anyone to not be inspired to back him up. Oh, and if he's the last one standing? The threshold has been crossed, prepare for a beatdown. Also, any hero fighting by him KNOWS that Supes has his/her back, so they will be doubly determined to fight.

Tony Stark/Iron Man, God of Personalized Mechanical Suits (Iron Man, Tony)
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His armor, of course. Also the logo of Stark Industries.
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral (Sometimes Neutral Good, sometimes LawfulEvil)
  • Reason for Joining: To repent for the evils he committed during the Civil War and to continue his redemption for being an arms dealer.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Cosmos accepts his apology and helps him reclaim his enterprises, so he swore loyalty and agreed to stop being a pawn of the government.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Moderate. An impressive fighter, but there's only one of him and he won't share his technology.

Peter Parker/Spider-Man, God of the Everyman Heroes and Heroes with Bad Reputations (Spidey, Webhead)
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: Stylized spider
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Allies: Captain America, Superman, Iron Man
  • Opposes: Joe Quesada.
  • Reason for joining: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility. That, and he wants to demand that Joe Quesada retcons the horrid One More Day.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Cosmos considered Spidey's marriage with Mary Jane sacred and condemns Quesada's act for the Retcon due to personal reasons. Knowing that she's on his side, Spidey harbors strong loyalty to her.
  • Threat level to Melkor: High. Just because he doesn't have that much fancy powers compared to others... he's not to be taken lightly.
  • Acts as the GUAG Superhero Division's Toku Base liaison, since he was associated with them back in the Seventies.

Dick Grayson/Nightwing and Tim Drake/Red Robin, God of Sidekicks (formerly Robin for both)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: A yellow "R" with a black circle behind it
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining: They're heroes, it's their job.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: See above. Also, Cosmos is the good guy leader. They'd be a hypocrite not to be loyal.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Medium - Low

Doreen Green/Squirrel Girl, Goddess Of Funny Heroes (The Anti-Life, Slayer of All That Breathes)
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: A squirrel
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Reason for Joining: Hey, she beat Dr. Doom, didn't she? What threat could Melkor possibly pose?
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Why not?
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Impossibly high, second only (and even then, possibly not even second) to Cosmos herself.

Matt Murdock/Daredevil, God of Disability Superpowers (The Devil of Hell's Kitchen)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: Two red Ds.
  • Allignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining: The forces of good need help.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: She hasn't treated him as any less capable as those without physical deformities, and respects his courage. He's rather loyal.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Medium.

Jean Grey-Summers/Phoenix, Former Goddess of Life and Rebirth - IN EXILE
  • Greater Goddess
  • Symbol: The X-Men logo
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reason for Joining: Teaming up with Spider-Man in her wrath against whoever it was that dropped a bridge on her.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Cosmos also condemns Quesada's acts for Jean's abrupt bridge-dropping, so Jean does like her.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: currently none.

Ben and Gwen Tennyson, God and Goddess of Unintentional Familial Subtext
  • Lesser Deities
  • Symbol: The Omnitrix (Ben); a spellbook (Gwen)
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good and Lawful Good, respectively
  • Reason for Joining: For Ben, it's to learn the secrets of and to gain control of the Omnitrix. For Gwen, it's to keep an eye on Ben.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: They're fine Cosmos as long as Grandpa Max is safe.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Low when they're alone. High when they're together.

Doctor Stephen Strange, God of Pure Sorcery, The Wizard Who Did It (Sorcerer Supreme, Master of the Mystic Arts)
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: Ankh, the Eye of Agamotto
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reason for Joining: He wants to change things for the greater good, or at least defend them against the greater evil
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: He shares similar ideals with Cosmos, so they're fine
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High. Melkor knows what he's capable of.

Captain Planet, God of Nature (Our Hero)
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: The Earth
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining: The GUAE is polluting nature, and he must stop them
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High. Her forces oppose the destruction and filth the GUAE plan to leave in their wake.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Moderate. All Melkor needs is to throw a lot of pollution on him and Captain Planet will be down. Still, if there's no pollution, Captain Planet is powerful on his own.

Arthur Curry/Aquaman, God of Water (Orin)
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: A stylized Golden A.
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral/Good
  • Reason for Joining: Because this sounds like a fantastic adventure!
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Medium. Aquaman doesn't really acknowledge anyone as his superior, but Cosmos helps protect atlantis, so he respects her and would gladly serve her cause when needed.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High. King of the Seas, remember? Formerly Low due to Melkor just treating him as someone whose power is just 'swim fast, talk to water animals'. Well, that old chum's claim was OUTRAGEOUS so Aquaman responds by laying waste on the majority of Melkor's army with the power of Water so he reconsiders.

Thor Odinson, God of Thunder (Donald Blake)
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: His hammer Mjolnir
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining: Standing in to defend those threatened by those Evil Gods. Also, Melkor set his sights to Asgard, there's no way Thor is going to sit idly with it. Thor also has many friends amongst his fellow gods, and his loyalty to justice is only rivaled by his loyalty to his friends.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: FOOLS! It is folly to doubt the Odinson's loyalty to the cause of justice!! Away with thee!!!
  • Threat level to Melkor: VERY high. Thor's absolute intolerance of evil and determination to stomp it out are traits which are threatening in any opponent of the GUAE, but Thor backs it up with pure physical might, magic power rivaling the strongest gods in the pantheon, and sheer leadership and inspirational ability. An angry Thunder God screaming in rage and charging at you is a surefire sign that MANY other heroes will rally behind him as well.

Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider, Keeper of Flames of Hell (Spirit of Vengeance)
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His Flaming Skull for head.
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Reason for Joining: The formation of GUAE means he'll have lots of jobs to do in making them see their sins.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Medium. The Ghost Rider works alone. And since Cosmos and the GUAG has rather little sins, he's okay with working with them (though he prefers solo missions)
  • Threat level to Melkor: High. Ghost Rider is a very powerful being and just getting on his eyes could prove to be dangerous.

Century, God of Superpowers As The Plot Demands
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: His battleaxe, Parallax
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor:

Kara Zor-L of Earth Two/Power Girl, Goddess of Improbable Figures
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: Her chest through that infamous "boob window"
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reason for Joining: The Anti-Monitor, killer of her entire universe, is on the GUAE. For Kal-L, for Lois, for Jimmy, her worlds shall be avenged, and she must ensure that nobody else has to suffer the way she and hers had.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Fairly High
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High. He has lost many troops to her twin abilities of distraction.

  • Threat Level to Melkor: High.

Jon Osterman/Doctor Manhattan, God of Fatalism
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: A hydrogen atom
  • Alignment: True Neutral (can tend towards Neutral Good)
  • Reason for Joining: To protect the innocent, and because as far as he is concerned, he already joined next week years ago.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: He finds her resolve and empathy endearing, if not inspiring.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High. Manhattan may not believe he can fight fate, but when he bothers trying, things explode.

James "Logan" Howlett/Wolverine, God of Berserker Rage (Best There is at What He Does, Wolvie)
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His fist pointing upward, unbreakable claws extended
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, usually leaning Good
  • Reason for Joining: The GUAE pissed him off.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Not comfortable fighting in a group with MAGNETO in it, but what the hell, Cosmos, Magneto, and himself want to kick the same ass, so though he's not much of team player, he told Cosmos he'd be willing to join so he could claw the GUAE to death.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High. After all, he can heal himself from massive amounts of damage he's received.

Molly Hayes, Young Goddess of Adorable Power (Bruiser, Princess Powerful)
  • Lesser Goddess (with the physical strength of a Demigoddess)
  • Symbol: A cute animal themed hat, of any choice.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Medium. Melkor doesn't let her innocence fool him.

Shiera Hall/Hawkgirl, Goddess of Blunt Weaponry (Shayera Hol (nee Thal))
  • Demigoddess
  • Symbol: A morning star
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for joining: To fight the forces of evil... and to smash shit.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: A bit scornful of serving any god/dess (even though she is one), but at least Cosmos holds good in high regard and is not someone she minds helping out.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Medium, but High to all magical members of the GUAE since her main weapon is made of Anti-Magic.

Blackagar Boltagon/Black Bolt, God of Voice Weapons (King of the Inhumans)
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His helmet on the Inhumans insignia.
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Reason for joining: The GUAE contains the likes of the Skrull or at least those who had the same mindset, and they threaten the Inhumans. As a King, Black Bolt must take action. Besides, fellow Illuminati Iron Man, Reed Richards and Doctor Strange have joined, thus he also joins in the fray.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Cosmos saved him from the hole that he created during his climatic battle against Vulcan, and had gently reprimanded him of how insane his plan could be, and promised him a way to achieve his goal without a plan that insane. Black Bolt is interested.
  • Threat level to Melkor: Moderate. Melkor would've put him in the 'Those hit with Badass Decay/Chickification List', but his inanely broken power is too dangerous to overlook.

The Phantom Stranger, God of Mysteries
  • Divine Level: Unknown. (It's a mystery.)
  • Symbol: Blank eyes shadowed by the brim of a hat.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good (though some people wonder...)
  • Reason For Joining: The Phantom Stranger always shows up when a Crisis Crossover involving the supernatural happens. Though nobody knows exactly when, or what he will do, or when he will leave.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Unknown, though Cosmos believes she can trust him.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Also unknown. Many have their suspicions, but nobody knows for certain.

Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Goliath II, Ronin II, The Golden Archer) and Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (the Hood, Ollie, The Vigilante, The Arrow) Gods of Archers

Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk, God of Strong Transformations Caused by Anger
