Per wiki policy, Spoilers Off applies here and all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

  • The Foot Soldiers are often shown doing mundane tasks and living their own lives before they engage in battle. They're all robots, being put into humorously human situations.
    • A purple Foot soldier is busy talking on the phone while doing paperwork at the front desk of the Channel Six studios.
    • There are four Foot soldiers laboring away at their computers in the Channel Six studios. When they join into battle, they throw away their neckties. The kicker is that only one of them has a properly working computer, as one has no mouse, one has no keyboard, and one has no monitor. And when you first encounter said scene, the first Foot soldier that runs in is holding a monitor overhead.
    • The mall features Foot soldiers walking around with trays of food in the food court, and there are some working the registers of the fast food joints.
    • There are Foot soldiers acting as carny barkers at the games and attractions at Coney Island.
    • Various Foot soldiers are distracted playing a Game Boy before you fight them.
    • There are Foot soldiers that appear to be eating (or, rather, attempting to eat) ice cream before noticing and attacking you. Just to reiterate, the Foot soldiers are robots that shouldn't have business eating ice cream.
  • Throughout "Jaw-Breaking News", Bebop forces Vernon Fenwick to film a show starring him. Every time the heroes showed up, Bebop would carry Vernon and run further in the stage. It eventually reaches a point where Vernon is tied up with his camera taped up to a mop and a chair as a stand so that Bebop could film himself. After the fight, the heroes chase Rocksteady while leaving Vernon tied up! Vernon gets his revenge in the ending when he attributes the saving of the Statue of Liberty to the Punk Frogs instead of the Ninja Turtles.
  • The start of Episode 2 shows Foot ninjas stealing the tires off of the Turtle Van, leaving it on a cinder block and running off. If you're playing as Donatello, he'll even complain about how he had just fixed the darn thing!
Don: Aw, man, I just fixed the party wagon!
    • Karai of all people joins in on the fun, if she is picked for Episode 2.
      Karai: Stealing tires? Shameful!
  • When a player character is flattened by a car, they get a unique and hilarious flattened animation. This even extends to April, Splinter, and Casey Jones. Even April's microphone gets flattened!
  • Just the mere fact that the game plays the Amusing Injuries straight for every playable character. Splinter, Casey Jones, and even April can get fried, zapped, flattened, frozen, smacked in the face by a loose plank, and more just like the turtles.
  • When falling into a manhole as April, she remarks "How do I get myself into these messes?". Besides being a direct reference to one of her lines from the show, this underscores how the latest crisis is like another Tuesday to her, given all the adventures she's had with the Turtles.
  • During the Turtle Tenderizer boss battle, Bebop occasionally leaves the steering wheel to swing a ball-and-chain and taunt the heroes. Of course, the truck immediately veers out of control, to his distress, and he resumes driving it.
  • Michelangelo comments on the Rat King's outfit:
Michelangelo: Dude, you wear two bandanas?
  • In Tempestra's boss battle, she will materialize digital copies of Tokka, Rahzar, or both. Rahzar's special move is burping out a cloud of gas that paralyzes your character. When both evil mutants are brought out, Tokka can get a whiff of the gas cloud and look comically repulsed.
  • Episode 9 starts out at Coney Island's beach, where Wingnut's lower half sticking out of a hole in the sand (and still conscious and twitching) after his defeat in the prior episode causes him to crash-land.
  • In their boss battles, both Bebop and Rocksteady have a running headbutt attack. When you fight both in "Rooftop Rumble", there's a good chance the Bumbling Henchman Duo will run into each other and knock themselves dizzy!
  • Shredder and Krang go after the Statue of Liberty again, but they don't outright steal it this time. Why? So they can turn it into a giant android body for Krang to pilot literally called the Statue of Tyranny. The track that plays when you fight the Statue even begins with the opening notes of "The Star-Spangled Banner", further accentuating how both utterly ridiculous and awesome this is.
    • If Mikey is present at the start of the fight, he gets this line:
Mikey: Hang on, Lady Liberty, we'll save you!
  • The opening sequence features a nice close-up of the four turtles' signature weapons... except instead of a nunchaku, we see a slice of pizza. Immediately afterward, the shot zooms out to show the four turtles at ease, except that Michelangelo rapidly is hiding something behind his back, with a rather sheepish expression on his face.
  • The "taunt" animations are entertainingly appropriate for each character. They range from the utilitarian - Leo focusing while saying "Deep breath!", Splinter sitting in the lotus position while chanting "Om..." - to the more overtly mocking - Raph folding his arms and laughing, Casey pointing his bat at the enemy while saying "Batter up, scuzzbucket!" - to the downright hilarious.
    • Mikey dances while yelling "PARTY, DUDES!"
    • April points at the enemy while saying "Any comments?" into her microphone in a voice dripping with sarcasm.
    • Funniest of all is Don, who sits down and plays on a Game Boy for a few seconds while saying "Just a minute!". The surprised/embarrassed look he gives over his shoulder just before the animation ends is the icing on the cake. The fun factor can be amplified after the "GO!" sign shows up: Don gives a timely response.
  • Metalhead's defeat at the end of Episode 9 leads into a cutscene of Shredder watching the aftermath of the battle on a monitor - an aftermath which includes Mikey crouching down next to the defeated Metalhead, offering him a slice of pizza.
    • Cute bit of Fridge Brilliance — the revival animation in multiplayer is offering a slice to the downed player. It would be in-character for Mikey to try.
  • The ending scene, showing everyone having a pizza party. Including Casey Jones. Who's eating a slice of pizza through his mask.
  • As with the original arcade game, you can strike fire hydrants to knock the cap flying at enemies. Now, however, if a Foot Soldier walks into the puddle that's created after you do so, they'll slip and fall over in a very comical fashion.
  • The premise for the Dimension Shellshock DLC, such as it is: the Neutrinos crash the Turtles' latest pizza party, to ask for help with preventing Shredder from taking over the multiverse. Cowabummer, dude.
  • Speaking of Dimension Shellshock, Usagi being a playable character means he can be affected by the various stage hazards. Behold, the legendary rabbit ronin, borderline One-Man Army who has defeated countless foes over his travels...who is just as susceptible to being set on fire, smacked in the face with a loose plank, electrocuted, and flattened by a speeding car as everyone else. This also extends to the second DLC character Karai, who despite being heavily designed after her super-serious 2003 version is just as able to be subjected to many comical mishaps as the rest of the playable cast.
  • In the Mirage dimension in Survival Mode, one of the levels has comic panels framing it as an ambush by Foot Clan robots. After beating the wave, the Foot Clan members' expressions immediately change to that of one of extreme worry, with the shadows of the Foot Clan in the foreground trembling in fear.
    • Similarly, in the 8Bit Battleground, Pizzaface can be seen in one window. After beating the wave, Pizzaface starts crying.
  • After defeating Super Shredder in Dimension Shellshock, the Neutrinos are so grateful they get our heroes' pizza from all across the multiverse! Only problem is...they clearly didn't consider whether those pizzas were edible. The turtles and their allies' reactions range from confusion to disgust...sans Karai, who actually seems to like them.
