"Well then, Mitch Williams. It's time to GET FURIOUS!"
—Mitch Williams, seconds before the Infinity Train comes calling.

Infinity Train: Grace and the Angry Glitch (Tech) is a ‘’Infinity Train’’ and Glitch Techs crossover fic by Green_Phantom_Queen. Currently ongoing.

Mitch Williams considers himself to be the best in his field. Which is why it enrages him when he’s told he can’t do a job solo to 1984 Spangler Street. Which leads to him being abducted by a train that is designed to force people to confront their emotional problems; with the help of another passenger, will he manages to get off the train?

Infinity Train: Grace and the Angry Glitch (Tech) contains the following examples:

  • Adaptational Gender Identity: Nameless was considered male in Glitch Techs, now non-binary in the story. Author notes also states either Wes or Ray is genderfluid and Simi is a transwoman.
  • Adaptational Karma: Mitch got away with siphoning EXP from everyone's gauntlets at the end of "BUDS", but BITT reminds Mitch that their armor is always recording what's going on and transfers all that XP back into the gauntlets of Nix, Five, Miko, and Zahra.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Miko recognizes that Mitch wanted 1984 Spangler Street because it was "his turf" as it was his home address. In the show, she and Five didn't piece it together until she found a scrap of a poster on Mitch's head that had his face on it.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: In the story, Miko is Aromantic while Mitch and Nix are Asexual.
  • Ascended Extra: Due to Mitch leaving for the Train, Zahra and Nix end up taking his place and get more characterization.
  • Casting Gag: The fact that Mitch meets up with Grace on his journey is a reference to how Grace's VA also voiced his sister, Audrey.
  • Character Name and the Noun Phrase: Grace and the Angry Glitch (Tech), reflecting the titular characters of Grace Monroe and Mitch Williams.
  • Character Title: Again, the title reflects the two protagonists.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Grace tells Mitch he needs to drop the number on his hand (a 360) down to zero, he thinks she’s referring to him as a zero.
  • Crossover Relatives: Grace and Mitch are hinted to be cousins despite being from different shows.
  • Exact Words: When Lady Jaggery asks the whereabouts of Simon, Grace says he's with her. This is because she's carrying his ashes on her.
  • Experienced Protagonist: Grace is the more experienced one between her and Mitch in the years she spent on the Train (close to a decade) and figuring out what to do to move forward.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Mitch is a jerk, but he cringes when he learns of Simon kicking Grace into the wheels and of the atrocities the Apex did in general.
  • Fatal Flaw: Mitch’s arrogance and ego alienate his co-workers and make him ignore warnings that he's out of his depth in certain situations. He initially ignores Grace’s warnings about the danger the train could pose until she confesses to Jaggery about what happened to Simon and seeing his ashes in a jar.
  • Foreshadowing: Mitch discusses what one could kill with a tiny knife, and one of them happens to be a talking dog. After the Debutante Car, he and Grace enter Corginia, full of talking dogs.
  • The Ghost:
    • Mitch's parents are referenced having meeting up with family who suddenly disappeared one day.
    • None of the Apex are seen, as Grace mentioned they've left within the 1.5 years since the end of Book 3.
  • Hidden Depths: Zahra is a romantic as she sobbed over the ending of Song of Achilles and wept at TK and Nanno's farewell.
  • Insistent Terminology: When Mitch calls Grace's origami partner an NPC, she corrects him by saying they're a denizen.
  • In Spite of a Nail: "I'm Mitch Williams" still plays out the same despite Mitch on the Train and Nix and Zahra taking his place.
  • {{Irony}: The one time Mitch decides to give away a job is the one time said job affects him the most.
  • It's Personal: Mitch blows a gasket over not getting to a job solo since it is happening at his address.
  • Jerkass: Mitch behaves like an arrogant and conceited dick to the point that the Infinity Train feels the need to abduct him.
  • Literary Allusion Title: The title comes from Hedwig And The Angry Itch, with each title named after a verse from "Tear Me Down".
  • Masculine, Feminine, Androgyne Trio: Male Mitch, female Grace, and the androgyne origami bird Washi.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Discussed; Mitch asks if his presence is Grace's second chance to do right with Simon.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Grace's origami bird is named "Washi", after washi paper.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Mitch decides to be nice and allow the noobs to get the next job. Too bad he didn't realize that it was for his house until after Five announced it.
  • Oblivious to Hints: When Zahra mentions how she loved Paris/Achilles as a couple, Five goes that he saw them as good friends...making it go over his head how Zahra crushes on him. Nix has to be the one who tell him up front.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: How bad is Mitch's disappearance? His gaming obsessed older siblings left the house to tell this to Miko and Five.
  • Point of Divergence: The plot changes when Mitch decides to let Five and Miko take up the next job and Five didn't say the name of the address until after he and Miko accepted it.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Mitch is unable to explain why he needs the job Miko and Five took, explaining that it's his. He's too ashamed to admit that the job is actually his home address.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Zahra snaps at Mitch's siblings for caring more about their gaming than everything else, like the Glitch that's running about, especially since she constantly has to deal with Mitch as her leader.
Zahra: Is that [getting free stuff from Mitch] all you think about? Because from what I'm seeing, Mitch is the only reason why you still have your gaming rights because he cleans up all of your messes from your non-stop gaming marathon to the point that it's a miracle that you haven't dropped dead at this point. And if you don't stop your gaming now, you're going to lose everything to the point that your 'brav' won't be able to save you. So why don't you help us by logging out of your game for five seconds!
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Brash, hot-headed Mitch Williams and experienced but world-weary Grace Monroe.
  • Reformed, but Not Tamed: Grace is trying to make up for her time as a cult leader, but she still has issues, which aren’t helped by Mitch’s bluster.
  • Rule of Symbolism: Grace and Mitch's numbers, as usual for a Green Phantom Queen Infinity Train story.
    • Grace's number is 310, which is based on the production code of "The New Apex" — Book 3, Episode 10.
    • Mitch's number is 360, representing how he needs to make a total 360, and because it's a reference to the game console, the Xbox 360.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Two games that Miko mentions are Deity of Destruction and the Zenon series (which could mean Xenogears, Xenosaga or Xenoblade)
    • Mitch makes a few references to the Infinity Train: Blossomverse when he sarcastically questions if Grace has a knife on hand and asks what she could kill with them, which is a weapon Grace used to good effect to shank anyone to death. The three denizens he mentions? A talking dog, a flying book, and a bunny aka Atticus, Lexi, and Utahoshi.
  • Take That!: The author notes for the first chapter is that of Executive Meddling for how the execs of HBO Max pulled Infinity Train out, before calling out how Nickelodeon screwed both Glitch Techs and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  • This Is Reality: Grace goes on a passionate speech that what Mitch thinks about the Train being some sort of video game is false; if he messes up, it is literally game over for him. No 1-ups, no continues, you're done.
  • Time Skip: Grace mentions that it's been a year and a half since the end of "The New Apex".
  • Whole-Plot Reference: Mitch discusses how the situation in the Candy Pirates car is based on a video game he played Mystery of the Umbra Sin: the plot involved a thief making everything worse by stealing important sea shells that has pissed off mermaids and giant crabs wanting vengeance.
