Sweet as Honey: sweet audio by Aural Honey. Stay sweet.
Sweet as Honey is an ASMR Video/audio roleplay series created by Aural Honey.

Described as "English honey-flavoured sweet audio", the videos involve Honey as a roleplay character, speaking to the listener. While the video topics can cover a variety of ranges, most of them involve Honey as romantically involved with the listener in some fashion. This can range from being the listener's friend hoping for a Relationship Upgrade to a yandere who wants the listener all to themselves.

Oh, and she likes tea. Like, really likes tea.

Her channel can be found here.

Sweet as Honey provides examples of:

  • Converse with the Unconscious: A bedside roleplay features Honey's friend in a coma from being hit by a car, with Honey telling them to wake up. Towards the end of the video, the patient does indeed wake up, prompting a few Tender Tears.
  • Christmas Episode: December 2018 saw Honey taking a few continuations of old roleplays with a Christmas theme, as well as singing a few Christmas songs a capella.
  • Digging Yourself Deeper: One video sees Honey wake up from a hangover, naked in bed next to her best friend, so she assumes that she must have confessed her crush and slept with them. Nothing of the sort happened the previous evening, and everything she says to get out of it only makes it worse. She resorts to hiding in the covers from embarrassment.
  • Dissonant Serenity: A video features Honey and her lover trapped on a deserted island, only for Honey to give them a massage to calm them down, all while being worried about what's about to happen.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: In one video, Honey travels back in time from the future to assure the viewer that they will have a girlfriend someday. She delivers an inspirational speech but keeps being distracted by checking out the viewer's "fantastic arse".
  • Fake Interactivity: Honey will frequently talk to her subject, including having long conversations and full-on arguments with them, all without the viewer ever hearing anyone besides Honey. It's to be assumed that the viewer is answering back.
  • Formula-Breaking Episode:
    • Several videos aren't roleplays at all, but Honey speaking directly to the listener without technically addressing them in a way that leans on the fourth wall.
    • A small number of videos focus not on budding relationships, but stable long-term ones, such as a video in which Honey (as the listener's wife) tells them that they're working too hard and that they need to take a break. It gets more intense when the subject reveals that they're doing someone else's work.
  • Friendly Neighborhood Vampire: Zigzagged. Honey has done a few roleplays as vampires, and some of them don't want to hurt the listener, such as a vampire lover. Others avert this, as the vampire is treated as a predator who wants her target to run for her own amusement.
  • Gender-Inclusive Writing: While Honey herself is always presented as female, almost none of her lovers / partners / targets / etc. are ever given a physical description. Generally speaking, Honey's videos aim for writing that could be applied to anyone who's listening, regardless of gender.
  • "Groundhog Day" Loop: The video "Time After Time" involves one of these, with the character trapped in a temporal loop.
  • Insane Troll Logic: The "Tipsy" video, in which Honey makes the listener promise "you cannot tell you that I love you!" It's justified by the fact that she's falling-down drunk at the time.
  • Love Confession: Used up, down, and every which way. A good number of Honey's videos focus on confessions of love, some of them planned, and some of them not.
  • Manipulative Bastard: In "The Devious Plot of the Scheming Strumpet," Honey reveals to her ex-lover that a woman named Emma had lied, manipulated, and cheated her way through their group of friends to end up with the listener. Among the many reasons Emma got caught was a spat of Bullying a Dragon where Emma bragged to Honey about breaking up their relationship, and did this on social media where everyone could see it.
  • Professional Killer: Honey's roleplayed an assassin more than once. It's been played for comedy each time, with Honey In Love with the Mark, having her lover come home to see people she's killed, or becoming a Predator Turned Protector after she falls for her target by killing other assassins.
  • Right Hand Versus Left Hand: Played for laughs. A marriage proposal on a beach ends up as a Wacky Marriage Proposal because both Honey and her lover ended up having the idea to propose at the same time, constantly interrupting the other in an attempt to propose first. After they sort out that they both want to marry the other, the two of them have an argument over who has to accept whose proposal. The rings they purchased independently even matched.
  • Relationship Upgrade: The videos tagged "Friends to Lovers" focus entirely on one of these happening.
  • Shout-Out: One of Honey's vampire video is titled "Little Mouse," which was also used in a vampire RP video series by Miss Shadow Lovely, another ASMR roleplayer.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Tea. Whether it's a shy nerdy girl on a date, or a professional assassin, every character Honey voices absolutely loves tea, and treats it as Serious Business. In a video about a marriage proposal on a beach, Honey and her lover got kicked out of a tea shop because a green tea was marked as an earl grey, and Honey refused to let it go.
  • Tsundere: Here and there. There's several tsundere girls mixed in with straight roleplays, including a Little Bit Beastly catgirl who doesn't want to admit that she misses her human roommate.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: A talking penguin is a recurring character, and Honey refuses to acknowledge anything weird about this.
  • What Did I Do Last Night?: A Love Confession with a hangover sees Honey wake up naked in bed next to her lover, asking what happened last night. Honey imagines that, since they're in bed together naked, she must have confessed her love and slept with them. According to her lover, neither happened, prompting an embarrassed Honey to bury herself under the covers.
  • Yandere: There's a yandere vampire, co-worker, a witch that puts the listener under a spell, and a Spoiled Brat princess who wants the listener and is willing to use violent methods because she's used to getting her way. However, such videos are rather rare on the channel.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Videos tagged with "comforting" fall into this mindset. Honey takes the role of a therapist or the listener's lover to reassure them that they're better than they believe themselves to be with calm compliments.
    • The video "Why Are You so Hard on Yourself?" sees Honey taking the role of the listener's big sister, telling them not to beat themselves up over mistakes, that they're not perfect, and that they're wonderful in spite of a few mistakes.
