Infinity Train: The Kid and The Wolf is an Infinity Train and Craig of the Creek crossover written by The Seventh Writer Mage.

The story follows Handlebarb, leader of the 10 Speeds of the Creek, entering the Infinity Train after a bad day involving a big show gone wrong leaves her wondering what to do next, especially with knowledge that she'll go to middle school soon, and will eventually grow out of the Creek.

It can be read here.

This work has examples of the next tropes:

  • Everyone Can See It: Non-romantic, Played for Drama example. Everybody can see that something's bothering Handlebarb, but the girl herself is too stubborn to actually open up about her issues.
  • Easing into the Adventure: Chapter 1 is just one big Humiliation Conga for Handlebarb; her family doesn't understand her, her mother tries to force her to be feminine again, her brother sabotages her confidence by bringing up how she's gonna grow out of the Creek eventually, her attempt at venting ruins the big show she and her friends had planned, she gets into an argument with them and the Stump Trio that gets grabbed by the livestream, turning her into a pariah among the Creek kids, and to top it all off, she's Made Out to Be a Jerkass by the bratty Cassandra, with neither her mother nor her brother taking her side or even showing her sympathy. Is it any wonder she decides to enter the Train by the end of the chapter?
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: The big show between the 10 Speeds and Roller Bladers from the other side of the Creek, big time. Not only does Handlebarb's idea to suddenly change the trick in the middle of the show completely fails, but she then gets into an argument with both her team and the Stump Trio that gets caught on the livestream, making her come across as a completer jerk who puts her own ego above those of her teammates.
  • Growing Up Sucks: A big reason why Handlebarb ends up on the Train is due to the fact she's starting to grow too old to play at the Creek anymore, and will eventually have to leave it, and her friends, behind.
  • Instant Humiliation Just Add Youtube: Wetube, in this case. After the disastrous big show between the 10 Speeds and the Roller Bladers, Handlebarb has an argument with both her squad and the Stump Trio that, as she finds out too late, has been caught in the livestream, giving people more than enough ammunition to paint her as a Bad Boss who'll hurt her subordinates all just to satisfy her own ego.
  • Name and Name: The Kid and The Wolf. The former obviously refers to Handlebarb, while the latter has yet to be seen.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Handlebarb is clearly bothered by something, as most of her friends notice, but she's not really willing to tell any of them about said problems, not even to her second in-command Warp Speed. This causes a lot of problems down the line, and eventually sends her straight into the Train.
  • Weird Crossover: An ordinary Slice of Life story involving a bunch of kids playing at their local creek is about as far removed from the dramatic, character-driven thriller that is the Infinity Train.
  • Womanliness as Pathos: A big source of conflict for Handlebarb, particularly in regards to her mother, is over how she's no longer the Girly Girl she used to be back when she was younger, with her mother trying to get her into more feminine interests in order to regain some of that old girl.
