"But now, with the skill to weave stories into reality on a small level, I had all the words I needed. And every single one would be right."
Taylor Hebert, Godblooded

Goblin Queen is a Worm/Exalted crossover fanfic by Biigoh. It can be found on SpaceBattles, Sufficient Velocity, Questionable Questing, and Fanfiction.net.

A zany cocktail that has been compared to Freakazoid! meets Pinky and the Brain meets Batman, Goblin Queen is known as one of the oddest Worm fanfics thus written, an AU crossover that is surprisingly upbeat and happy for both a fanfic based off of Worm and a story where the protagonist has an Eldritch Abomination made of dreams and living narrative in her head.

In this timeline, Taylor called out for help in her locker and something beyond her shard answered. An Unshaped Raksha. A story come, quite literally, to life. What follows is both an epic, and heartwarming exploration of Taylor's character, alongside the character of the Brockton Bay Wards, the Undersiders, and Taylor's other allies and enemies. With frequent interludes and Omake both from Biigoh and from readers.

The plot goes off the rails fairly quickly recruiting overlooked characters from canon and changing interpersonal dynamics to build a very different perspective of the gangs and happenings of Brockton Bay.

Warning: Full story provides spoilers for Worm. Sort of. It's gone rather off the rails though, so it's hard to tell what are spoilers and what's not anymore.

Goblin Queen provides examples of:

  • Anachronism Stew: Star Trek replicators and Zeppelins coexist in a world where the protagonist uses a Cool Sword that looks like it's made of obsidian.
  • An Arm and a Leg: In a callback to Canon, Taylor Loses an Arm. It doesn't stick.
  • Anti-Villain: Rose Knight is more Affably Evil than canon Skitter, even if she's twice as manipulative.
  • Bazaar of the Bizarre: Visited by the Undersiders, a profitable and informative shopping trip for all involved. A linchpin for the plot of the Heaven and Infinity arcs.
  • Beneath the Mask: Taylor is very emotionally repressed due to the abuse perpetuated by Emma. The combination of abuse, her powers and her "guest" have had interesting effects on her psyche.
  • Bigger on the Inside: The Undersiders' Abandoned warehouse is implied to be this after Rose Knight gets through with it.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Rose Knight, Rose Knight, Rose Knight. Part of the raksha power set involves narrative rewriting of the world...but the raksha have to believe it themselves on some level for it to take effect. As a result, Taylor's view of the world is a little odd, especially given how people notice her reality edits.
  • Cool Car: Squealer Certainly Thinks so.
  • Cool House: Rose may have gone a little overboard with the Undersiders' hideout.
  • Cool Train: Squealer's vehicle is half this, half Cool Car
  • Colony Drop: Rose Knight creates and drops a 30-mile asteroid in the Battle That Never Was.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The Museum Non-Heist. Also? Rose Knight vs. The Empire 88.
  • Continuity Nod: All over the place. Especially in Parahumans Online snippets.
  • Elaborate Underground Base: It wouldn't be Coil without one.
  • Enemy Mine: Shadow Stalker thinks she's this to Taylor. Tattletale is this for humor when she finds out Taylor's pen name and powers.
  • Deadly Decadent Court: Coil's group isn't actually this, but that doesn't stop Taylor from pretending they are.
  • Eldritch Location: The Wyld, also as of the Infinity Arc the Second Sun. To a Lesser Extent, places affected by Vista's power.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: Taylor somewhat intentionally about Sophia's motives.
  • Film Noir: Liberally cribbed details from Batman: The Animated Series. Can you say "Police Zeppelin?"
  • Fisher King: Taylor and her Guest are the King and his kingdom, respectively.
  • Food Porn: Completely aside from the way that the Spacebattles Threads are full of various delicious ways to cook Tanuki, there's some oblique references to Shokugeki no Soma in at least two chapters using incredibly vivid food-triggered hallucinations from excess deliciousness.
  • Genius Loci: Taylor's guest [____].
  • Giftedly Bad: Taylor's fanfics are one part prophecy, and three parts Trolling. Quality is not a thing, unless you consider leaving the reader in stitches quality.
  • Guile Hero: Tattletale. Against Taylor.
    • Taylor herself, as shown by her social trouncing of Sophia.
  • Hazy-Feel Turn: Emma decides to become a Cauldron cape after she mistakes Sophia's and Madison's Character Development for More than Mind Control and gets scared out of her mind.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Madison, sort of, depending on your definition of "face," and Sophia who goes from a warped predator/prey mentality to a semi-decent human being.
  • Hero Antagonist: Sophia. She's definitely become a nicer person because of confronting her weakness and being humble enough to admit she was wrong about prey being unable to become predators. Said revelation came after a giant Guile Hero moment from Taylor in which she realized how much of a manipulative schemer she could be, and now regards it as her mission in life to stop Taylor from ruling the world. That this is an incredibly misreading of Rose Knight's motives doesn't occur to her.
  • Industrial Ghetto: The Docks.
  • Log Fic: Not just the ever popular Vista Logs but also the Parahumans Online sections.
  • Museum of the Strange and Unusual: Its own sound system, Parahuman Attacks, and best off, Authentic Pirate Gold! What more could you want from a museum?
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Madison's reaction to her actions in, when she comes to terms with Taylor saving her from harm and realizes tat she's been a terrible person for what she put Taylor through.
  • Mysterious Backer: Coil is this to Taylor. Invoking the trope directly is how Lisa gets her to join the Undersiders.
  • O.C. Stand-in: Very well done. Even Madison gets a time to shine...
  • Painting the Fourth Wall: Biigoh changes the text to Bold or Red and Bold (depending on if you read on Spacebattles or Fanfiction.net respectively) to show you when Taylor is shaping a fantasy.
  • Pocket Dimension: Earth Bet exists within one. A stable bubble in the Wyld.
  • Pop-Cultured Badass: Uber and L33t. Especially on Parahumans Online.
  • Stylistic Suck: Everything God Empress Rose writes in universe. Luckily, we don't get to see most of it. unluckily, most, is not all.
  • Supervillain Lair: Coils is Canonical, but the Undersiders get one too.
  • Super Power Lottery: Emma got a cauldron formula that turns the imbiber into a Dragonblooded Exalt.
  • The Chessmaster: Rose Knight in the Museum Heist.
  • Title Drop: By Regent, twice.
  • The Force Is Strong with This One: Taylor can instantly identify Raksha.
  • There Is No Kill Like Over Kill: Implied. Taylor's battle against the Empire 88 and Protectorate and Dragon in the Timeline that never was, seems to have been full of this.
    • Turns out that Rose Knight was throwing around enough power vs Empire 88 that a least one random mook triggered in the timeline that never was, but because of the nature of shards, the girl also triggers in the kept timeline.
    • She created and dropped a 30-mile asteroid in that fight.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Madison, and Sophia's taking a course in Badass Entrances.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: After being humiliated by Taylor and learning that she's regarded as a supporting cast member at best, Sophia undergoes a second trigger due to her feelings of helplessness...and examines her life, realizing she's been a complete Jerkass who's driven away the Wards for no good reason. She's become something more of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold.
  • Worthy Opponent: Taylor and Lisa. It's not so much that they dislike each other, it's just that her Giftedly Bad fanfiction gives the perfectionist (and, thanks to her Sherlock Scan powers, a superhuman literary critic) Lisa a migraine.
  • Vigilante Man: Played with. Although Sophia seems to be taking lessons from Batman's Animated Series iteration, she's actually less of a vigilante than in both the original and in most other fanfics.
