Delirium is a crossover between Worm and Vampire: The Masquerade by audriuska12. It is an Alt-Power crossover where Taylor Triggers as a Malkavian Vampire.

Aisha Laborn sneaks into Winslow one night and discovers Taylor in the locker. To her dismay, Aisha's new friend drinks human blood and only ever speaks in riddles.

It is now technically complete.

This fanfic contains examples of the following:

  • Adaptation Name Change: Taylor's Cape Name is Cassandra, which was Dinah's codename in canon.
  • Bad Moon Rising: Subverted epically- when Taylor said Brian's Shadow-Stalker-induced injuries would be healed on a night of a full moon, Brian thought it would involve turning him into a werewolf, but instead it's just a meeting with Panacea that happens to be on the night of a full moon.
  • Berserk Button: Hurting her friends is this for Taylor. The Empire find out the hard way.
  • Broken Bird: Under her Cloudcuckoolander exterior, Taylor is showing shades of this.
    • When Aisha is confused about Taylor referring to her as "Friends" as in plural, Taylor explains "when one is all, all is one".
    • Taylor breaks down crying when reunited with her father.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: TAYLOR. Alec even lampshades it.
    • Of all the fanfic iterations of Taylor, only Right-Minded's Slashed Jack comes close in terms of sheer Cloudcuckoolanderness.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: Aisha, later assisted by Lisa.
  • The Cuckoolander Was Right: Taylor prophesies Aisha's Trigger and Cherish leaving Heartbreaker.
  • Cryptic Conversation: Everything Taylor says is either a riddle, Purple Prose, or a one-liner. She only drops it is when speaking with her father.
  • Delusions of Doghood: Hookwolf after his first encounter with Taylor.
  • The Dreaded: Taylor, for her enemies.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Taylor starts engaging in a Cryptic Conversation with Aisha even before being pulled out of the locker.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Aisha Triggers with her canon powers. Only Taylor notices her.
  • Hearing Voices: How Taylor describes her Thinker power.
  • Hospital Hottie: Downplayed- when Aisha throws away Taylor's clothes after the locker, she gives her a spare Nurse's outfit.
  • It Makes Sense in Context: In-Universe, Taylor's random interjections that tell Coil she can counter his two-timelines Thinker power come across as random nonsense to the Undersiders.
  • Koan: Taylor's advice often sounds like these.
  • Leave the Camera Running: In-Universe example when Taylor grabs Uber & Leet's snitch and walks around Brockton Bay with it, describing the landmarks in detail in her usual manner.
  • Large Ham: Taylor can't refrain from being this when she arranges for Amy to heal Brian, bombastically calling Victoria a "Margravine of Glory" and Amy a "Marquisa of life".
  • Left Hanging: The fic ends on a cliffhanger.
  • Mad Oracle: Taylor is a Malkavian, what did you expect?
  • Minor Crime Reveals Major Plot: Aisha breaks and enters into a high school at night, resulting in her discovery of the locker incident.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Cherish "Likely isn't with the Nine" like she'd eventually be in canon.
    • Shadow Stalker attacks Grue.
    • Rachel is asked if wolves shed, to which she replies she never had one. In canon she got a wolf cub.
    • To Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, specifically the behavior of the Malkavian PC:
      • Taylor gets into an argument with a Stop sign, among other inanimate objects.
      • A mysterious cab driver who terrifies Taylor.
  • The Nicknamer: Taylor as part of her Cryptic Conversation tendencies.
  • No More for Me: Mrs. Laborn gives up drugs after Taylor turns her fix into a scorpion.
  • Oh, Crap!: Taylor tends to cause these.
    • Alec when Taylor identifies him as a Heartbroken.
    • Alec when Taylor devines that Cherish left Heartbreaker.
    • Carol has one when Taylor divulges that Amy is the daughter of Marquis.
    • Coil when he finds out Taylor can counter his two-timelines powers.
    • Mrs. Laborn has one when she meets Taylor the second time.
    • The Empire Capes when Taylor gets hungry and eats Victor, Othalla, and Kaiser.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The one major time Taylor drops her Cryptic Conversation method of speaking and talks normally is when she reunites with her dad.
  • Perception Filter: Not only Aisha's canon powers, but Taylor also uses one that lands Gallant in Master/Stranger quarantine.
  • Riddle Me This: Part of Taylor's normal method of speaking.
  • The Runaway: Taylor after the locker incident. She lives with the Undersiders.
  • Scare 'Em Straight: One of the few things consistently Played for Drama, rather than Played for Laughs, is how Taylor scared Mrs. Laborn into quitting drugs.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here:
    • Mrs. Laborn after seeing Taylor come home.
    • the Undersiders from Brockton Bay at the end of the fic.
  • Spit Take: Carol's reaction to finding out that Taylor called Amy a "Marquisa".
Victoria: (narrating) And that was how I found out that my forcefield blocks spat coffee. Amy wasn't quite as lucky.
  • Talkative Loon: Taylor runs her mouth when monologuing to Uber & Leet's camera during her impromptu walking tour of Brockton Bay.
  • Two Scenes, One Dialogue: When Coil tries to call Tattletale to ask for information on Taylor, Taylor proceeds to grab the phone in that timeline, grab the phone and call him in the other timeline, and then freak him out by having a conversation with herself across the timelines. Notably, to everyone except Coil (who is the only one who can hear both timelines), it sounds like complete nonsense.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Taylor going into this near the end results in Victor, Othalla, and Kaiser getting exsanguinated.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: Taylor's Cloudcuckoolander tendencies come from her Thinker power.
