OddAuthor is a fanfiction writer on FanFiction.Net, known for his fanfictions on The Fairly OddParents! from 2009 to 2012. These fanfics are all part of an untitled AU series, taking place within or after Season 7, and with Wishology as its primal stepping stone.

In this AU series, many of the events that have taken place in The Fairly OddParents! from Season 1 through 7 have still happened, including the fact that Jorgen has wiped the memories of Timmy's non-fairy friends following the events of Wishology... with the key difference that A.J. has made himself and Timmy immune to the memory wipes, meaning that he still remembers everything regardless. After Timmy had been maimed by Remy Buxaplenty and been left to die (and would've died if it weren't for A.J.), this revelation has led to a series to events that improves Timmy and his friends as people: this includes his romantic relationship with Trixie Tang being realized, and his brotherly bond with A.J. and Chester stronger than ever. All these changes make way for a prophesized future in which humans and fairies will live in harmony again, with Timmy, A.J. and Chester being the Chosen Ones to forge that path. Of course, many daunting trials have to be faced to make this future possible, and many enemies try to prevent this future from ever happening.

Many of OddAuthor's fanfics, particularly prior to "Heart to Heart", solely cover The Fairly OddParents, but several other series have joined in since. This naturally includes Danny Phantom (since the two series share a creator and have similar artstyles), as well as The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius (since those two series crossed over before) and by extension its spinoff Planet Sheen. By the end of "The Darkness Returns", though, even Phineas and Ferb has joined the fray.

OddAuthor's series consists of the following fanfics:

  • A.J's Doubts (2009) — During a camping trip at an old west settlement, Timmy has been kidnapped by Remy Buxaplenty, who intends malice to the buck-toothed boy. Remy has ensured to cover all bases so no one would bother to look for Timmy, but A.J., feeling that Timmy is in trouble, isn't easily fooled.
  • A Friend's Loyalty (2009) — Timmy had been discharged from the hospital after the injuries Remy had given him have been partially taken care of, but trouble is still afoot with Remy having teamed up with Norm the genie. Since Timmy needs to rest, A.J. is willing to help, and with the revelation that Norm has his own reservations on Remy, he needs him and the fairies to work together in order to prevent Remy from hurting his friend.
  • Love For the Pink Hatted One (2009) — After Timmy is fully recovered, he attempts to woo Trixie Tang yet again, but being spurned for the umpteenth time has Timmy on the verge of giving up, realizing that Trixie doesn't like him after all. However, Trixie is actually deeply in love with Timmy, and needs to tell him before it's too late. Her grandfather, however, won't make it easy, especially after teaming up with another businessman, who has his own agenda.
  • Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid (2010) — Life still marches on for Timmy Turner as he finishes the school year, now that he is dating Trixie and that he can share his magical adventures with not only her, but his best friends Chester and A.J. as well. However, Anti-Cosmo has different plans for the buck-toothed boy, teaming up with Remy as his evil godchild to capture Timmy for his own nefarious purposes.
  • Family Affairs (2010-2011) — The Turners' neglect of Timmy has finally reached a breaking point as custody of him has been taken away from them, and Timmy is sent to live with A.J's parents instead. Meanwhile, Remy has gone missing (Anti-Cosmo trapped him in a shadow vortex, alongside Vicky and Tootie's long-lost brother Winston), with the Buxaplentys too realizing that they've neglected their son for far too long.
  • The Darkness Returns (2011-2012) — It turns out that the Darkness lost a couple remnants of itself before it could turn into the Kindness. Now, Alden Bitteroot has brought these remnants back together, in the hopes that he, Anti-Cosmo, Vlad Plasmius and Professor Calamitous are able control it for their own nefarious goals; while Timmy, Chester and A.J. are thrusted on the daunting task to convert it to good in order for the Kindness to be whole again, as this Darkness's anguish and despair is even bigger than the Kindness's ever was.
  • Lights in the Darkness (2012-????) — When Phineas and Ferb make a visit to Dimmsdale as a cover-up to a mission for Perry the Platypus, the three are destined to meet Timmy, who is recovering from a magic-induced coma after fully converting the Darkness. Meanwhile, an ultimate evil and his cohorts are making preparations to destroy Timmy, Phineas and other future leaders once and for all.

OddAuthor has also written a couple of supplementary oneshots:

  • Our Friend (2009) — OddAuthor's first fanfic. Takes place in the midst of Wishology, right after Timmy has sacrificed himself to the Darkness. This oneshot explores the thoughts of Chester and A.J., who are heartbroken after losing their best friend to the Darkness.
  • The Birthday Gift (2009) — Taking place inbetween "The Exciting Middle Part" and "The Final Ending" of Wishology, A.J. is alone in the Timmy Cave, waiting for Cosmo, Wanda, Poof and Jorgen to rescue Timmy from the Darkness, when he comes across a rather unexpected but touching gift that Timmy meant to give to him for his birthday.
  • The Unknown Crush (2010) — Takes place after "Love For the Pink Hatted One", and right before "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid". As Chester practices his baseball skills with Timmy, he begins to ask a few odd questions regarding Tootie, now that Timmy dating Trixie. This leads Timmy to suspect that Chester might have a crush on her.
  • Heart to Heart (2010) — Taking place after "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid", Timmy and Wanda have a heart-to-heart conversation while he's recovering from a wound inflicted by Anti-Cosmo. Unbeknownst to them, they are being watched by the time ghost Clockwork, pleased with how Timmy is living up to his potential.

OddAuthor's fanfics include the following examples:

  • Ambiguously Christian: Trixie's family is suddenly revealed to visit church along with Timmy and his friends in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid"; the same story also reveals that the Tang family has also donated pews to the Dimmsdale Community Church on top of that; plus, Tootie has attended church as well. The ambiguity is removed as Nguyen Tang is called to visit the Devil in "Lights in the Darkness".
  • Big Bad: There's several:
    • For "A.J's Doubts" and "A Friend's Loyalty", there's Remy Buxaplenty.
    • "Love for the Pink Hatted One" has Nguyen Tang, Trixie's grandfather, in the first half; in the second half, it's Old Man Tang's business partner, Sanderson (whom Tang is not aware he and his cohorts are Pixies), who then revives (and get usurped) by the Destructinator.
    • Anti-Cosmo takes the reins in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid".
    • The antagonist for the first half of "Family Affairs" is the Shadow.
    • The second half of "Family Affairs" and "The Darkness Returns" has Alden Bitteroot as the main antagonist, who is revealed to have created the Anti-Fairies.
    • As of the ending of "The Darkness Returns", the role of main antagonist was given to the Devil himself. It's also revealed that Bitteroot and Anti-Cosmo have been working for him of eons.
  • Canon Welding: Not only are all seasons of The Fairly OddParents prior to Season 8 being welded, but so are Danny Phantom, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and its spinoff Planet Sheen, and Phineas and Ferb.
    • In the Jimmy Neutron side in particular, Jimmy and Cindy are on a quest to find Sheen after he went missing due to an incident with a rocket in Jimmy's lab, an incident Alden Bitteroot is partially responsible for. They, as well as Libby and Carl, end up on Planet Zeenu and have to rescue Sheen from a forced marriage.
  • The Chosen One: Timmy Turner, natch; extends to A.J. and Chester as well.
  • Composite Character: Winston is a combination of two rather obscure characters from the Oh Yeah! Cartoons shorts: these being Jorgen's fairy godchild also named Winston, and Vicky's little brother (who was never shown).
  • Continuity Porn: If it happened in the first six seasons of The Fairly OddParents!, there's a good chance it has been addressed, and sometimes even be relevant to the story! The inclusion of deep cuts such as the Chamberlain's Shadow and Winston are also good examples.
  • Continuity Snarl: Initially, the series was meant to follow the canon series quite closely, but already in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid", some story changes to canon episodes had to be made in order for the story to still make sense. Eventually, the series had to be changed into an alternate timeline after reaching a point where the canon episodes became too different from OddAuthor's stories, resulting in most of Season 8, as well as A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! and its sequels, to be Retconned in that new timeline, despite Hugh J. Magnate still existing.
    • One such episode which events got altered for the series was Season 7's "Stupid Cupid": as it turns out, Anti-Cupid has taken Cupid's place, and Timmy getting access to his love arrows was part of a Batman Gambit in that he knew Timmy would muck things up and ask "Cupid" to undo his mess by using Anti-Love Arrows, to ensure Timmy and Trixie would never get together as a request of Anti-Cosmo, who anticipated this would increase the chances of Timmy to becoming vengeful and turning to the dark side. Since this revelation came to be after "Love For the Pink Hatted One", this plan obviously failed in the long run.
    • The events of Season 4 episode "It's a Wishful Life" have also been slightly altered in this story even prior to "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not-So Average Kid", and is an important plot point: the timeline Jorgen showed Timmy in that episode was out of context, and while Jorgen had good intentions, as he merely wanted Timmy to teach a lesson, the Fairy Council recognized that Jorgen was being too harsh and later showed Timmy the timeline with the correct context. Norm knew about what Jorgen did and threatened to reveal it to Cosmo, Wanda and A.J. if he remained imprisoned in Abracatraz in "A Friend's Loyalty"; Remy then reveals it to them anyway as part of Anti-Cosmo's plan in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not-So Average Kid".
    • "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not-So Average Kid" also reveals that the future in the ending of "Channel Chasers" has also been altered slightly thanks to A.J. implanting a Forgeticin immunity chip in Timmy's brain: with Timmy remembering his fairy godparents, he will become a better parent to Tommy and Tammy; this incidentally puts a dent in Anti-Cosmo's back-up plan involving Timmy's kids.
    • Given that the series hadn't been updated in 2013-2017 and that it hasn't been worked on since 2018, while it is likely that Seasons 9 and 10 are Retconned as well, it is unknown if characters like Sparky the Fairy Dog or Chloe Carmichael still exist like Hugh J. Magnate. Given that Phineas and Ferb are part of this series, it's also unknown if Doofenshmirtz has turned good by the end of the previous summer, or if the events of Milo Murphy's Law or even Hamster & Gretel have happened or are still happening.
  • The Dragon: Every Big Bad had at least one of these:
    • Remy had Francis as his lackey in "A.J's Doubts". At the end of "A.J's Doubts", Remy is also revealed to have teamed up with Norm the genie, though Norm decides to change sides in "A Friend's Loyalty".
    • Sanderson and his Pixies in "Love for the Pink Hatted one" had Mary Alice Doombringer, of all people.
    • Foop, Anti-Wanda and Anti-Cupid to an extent were working for or with Anti-Cosmo. He also teamed up with Remy, but planned to kill him off after he got Timmy in his clutches.
    • Marianne's shadow is the Shadow's Dragon, who in turn is Anti-Cosmo's Dragon... who in turn is revealed to be Alden Bitteroot's Dragon.
    • Aside from Anti-Cosmo, Alden Bitteroot also has teamed up with Vlad Plasmius and Professor Calamitous, and has Dorkus and his helper Pinter under his command.
    • Alden, Anti-Cosmo and the Shadow all appear to be Co-Dragons to Lucifer himself, who also recruits Vlad, Calamitous, Dorkus and Nguyen (the latter whom is tasked to recruit Hugh J. Magnate), in addition of having Dark Dan and Evil Jimmy at his disposal.
    • Hugh J. Magnate also received Dennis the Rabbit, a rogue O.W.C.A. agent, from M.E.R.F.
  • Getting Crap Past the Radar: In "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not-So Average Kid", Trixie naughtily reminisces back to the time Timmy lost his swimming trunks in "Emotion Commotion", noting that Timmy even looked good out of his clothes; and while Trixie was mostly horrified when it happened, one part of her actually kind of enjoyed this sneak peak. OddAuthor explains this part was included to show that Trixie was physically attracted to Timmy as well.
  • God's Hands Are Tied: Despite being an all-powerful entity, the Kindness is unable to help Timmy, Chester and A.J. in their quest of fulfilling the prophecy as explained in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid". He also cannot help them with reforming the remaining fragments of the Darkness.
    • Cosmo, Wanda and Poof were ordered by Jorgen per request of Clockwork not to help Timmy when Dr. Hunter catches him home alone, as custody over him being taken away from his parents happens to be crucial for the prophecy to happen as well.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Many antagonistic characters are facing this:
    • Francis, clearly horrified after hearing what Remy has done to Timmy in "A.J's Doubts", decides to turn himself in and spend time in juvenile detention.
    • Norm the genie has quickly realized how much of a lunatic Remy is in "A Friend's Loyalty" and initially just wanted to stop him. But as A.J. treated him with respect without assuming the worst, Norm grew more sympathetic and eventually became one of Timmy's greatest allies without losing his charm.
    • After hearing what Remy did to Timmy, Chad became more sympathetic towards the buck-toothed boy, and unlike Tad, tries to help Trixie with winning back Timmy.
    • Remy Buxaplenty himself, after Anti-Cosmo reveals he planned to kill Remy off and make Timmy his evil godchild instead, and Timmy sacrificed his safety to ensure Remy's.
    • Vicky and Crocker quickly reform after recognizing the Darkness in "The Darkness Returns".
  • I Have Many Names: The Devil, natch.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Heavily subverted. The series shows several examples of people either recovering from laser-guided amnesia, or never truly being affected in the first place:
    • It's revealed in "A.J's Doubts" that A.J. has made himself immune to Jorgen's memory wipe, since he cares too much for Timmy to let the Darkness incident be forgotten. It's also revealed that he made Timmy immune to memory wipes with the same method as well.
    • Trixie Tang still remembers the Darkness incident as well; not because she is made immune to memory wipes, but because magic cannot affect true love, as she's in love with Timmy.
    • Chester is made to remember everything magic-related once he's assigned with his own fairy godparent Isaac. Same goes for Tootie when she gets assigned with Binky
    • Timmy's parents appear to have recurring dreams about the Darkness incident as revealed in "Family Affairs". Upon seeing the Darkness again in "The Darkness Returns", they, as well as Vicky and Crocker, also start remembering everything.
    • Phineas hasn't truly forgotten the events of Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension as he still has a recurring dream of Isabella kissing him (after all, if magic couldn't interfere with true love, then neither can one of Doofenshmirtz's inators). He fully remembers everything when witnessing a mission debriefing between Perry and Monogram. Of course, Ferb is soon to follow a couple days later.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: A.J. still remembering everything from the Darkness incident was originally a Plot Twist in "A.J's Doubts", but being the first in a currently seven story-long saga, it'd be impossible to keep it a secret for so long.
    • Similarly, Phineas and Ferb being part of this series at all was also part of a Plot Twist, with this not being hinted at all until near the end of "The Return of the Darkness", with Tootie finding documents with the O.W.C.A. logo imprinted on them in the MERF van, Satan mentioning that all evil will be doomed if Timmy, Jimmy and Danny ever meet "two certain stepbrothers", and Candace yelling at her mom that Phineas and Ferb made a second sun (actually The Kindness after being completed, which Phineas and Ferb had nothing to do with). However, the description for "Lights in the Darkness" mentions Phineas Flynn by full name and doesn't hide the inclusion of Phineas and Ferb at all.
  • Mentor Archetype: Rather surprisingly, Principal Waxelplax is revealed to not only know about fairies all along, but is the person chosen to train Timmy, Chester and A.J. to control their newfound powers as the Chosen Ones.
  • An Offer You Can't Refuse: When Nguyen, angered that Timmy and Trixie are dating after all despite his numerous attempts to separate them, decides to arrange an "accident" in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid", Anti-Cosmo intervenes and forces the old man to do nothing against Timmy (as the Anti-Fairy has his own plans for the bucktoothed boy), and threatens that if he does lay a finger on him, Nguyen will lose millions of dollars in stocks. Anti-Cosmo at least promises Nguyen that Timmy will be out of his hair if he concedes.
  • Official Couple: Timmy and Trixie end up together by the end of "Love for the Pink Hatted One". Chester and Tootie also become a couple in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid".
  • Operation: Jealousy: After Phineas reveals he has seen Timmy in a dream before recognizing him on a news article photo, Isabella, who has grown tired of Phineas being so oblivious, decides to invoke this trope by pretending to show romantic interest in Timmy to make Phineas jealous. It works, but Isabella quickly regrets it, too.
  • Point of Divergence: A.J. merely implanted a chip in his and Timmy's brain, that grants them immunity for the Forgeticin memory wipes; this has ultimately changed Timmy's life for the better, as he grew more wise and responsible, scored with the girl of his dreams, allows for several of his enemies to pull a Heel–Face Turn, and set the path for humans and fairies to reunite once more, alarming Satan himself. Season 8 is acknowledged as the "bad timeline" where A.J. never gave himself and Timmy the chip.
  • Plot Twist: A lot of chapters in several stories end on a rather unexpected reveal.
  • Romantic False Lead: Provided by Nguyen Tang's business partner is Molly (actually a disguised Pixie), to occupy Timmy in "Love for the Pink Hatted One" after reading a hateful letter to keep him away from Trixie. Trixie catches Timmy and Molly hugging, with Tad "conveniently" nearby to console her. This set-up didn't work, as Timmy and Trixie end up together anyways.
  • Second Love: In "Love for the Pink Hatted One", when he finds a letter supposedly written by Trixie tearing him to shreds (actually a forged letter by her grandfather to tear them apart), a heartbroken Timmy conveniently encounters Molly and attempts dating her instead. Ultimately subverted when it turns out this Molly is actually a disguised Pixie. A group of rogue Pixies under the lead of Sanderson have captured the real Molly and use her image in attempt to subdue Timmy in order to revive the Destructinator and take over Fairy World; after this is apparent, Timmy also begins to learn that the hate letter he got was forged and Trixie is in fact smitten with him.
  • Shipping Torpedo: There have been several characters who are or used to be against Timmy and Trixie being together:
    • Nguyen Tang is very much against the idea of his granddaughter Trixie dating someone of a lower class like Timmy, and has made several attempts to humiliate Timmy
    • Trixie's mother Rebecca used to be against this idea to a somewhat lesser extent, but she gradually grows fonder of Timmy, and fully comes around in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid".
    • Remy and Tad have both shown interest in dating Trixie while very much disliking Timmy, so they fall under this trope as well. Although Remy did a Heel–Face Turn by the end of "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid", so he might no longer care if they dated.
    • With the way Trixie had treated Timmy for the past couple years, Wanda, being Timmy's godmother, very much disliked Trixie and had some difficulty with the two dating; however, she has forgiven Trixie after coming to understand her in "Family Affairs".
    • Veronica was shown to not care for Timmy the same way Tad is shown, but in "Lights in the Darkness", it's revealed that she's in love with Timmy, and despises Trixie instead.
  • Ship Tease: Chester is revealed to have a crush on Tootie in "The Unknown Crush". There's also ship teasing for Jimmy/Cindy, Sheen/Libby and Phineas/Isabella.
  • Translator Collar: Perry has been given a translator headset and mic so he can communicate with Phineas without the need of written notes. Given his and Ferb's previous animal translator didn't translate platypus, it took a bit of time to tweak it.
  • Unrequited Love Switcheroo: Sort of in "Love for the Pink Hatted One": After trying to woo a seemingly uninterested Trixie for years, Timmy feels no longer motivated to chase her, with a (forged) letter being the last straw. Meanwhile, though, Trixie wants to tell him how she really feels, and although she felt disdain and demotivation when she sees him with Molly, Chad ultimately motivates Trixie to make her move as he points out the shoe is now on the other foot. This leads into the ironic reversal of Trixie now trying to woo a seemingly uninterested Timmy.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness:
    • The Destructinator absorbs all the Pixies, including Sanderson, once they helped him regain power in "Love for the Pink Hatted One".
    • Anti-Cosmo fully intends to kill off Remy once the two manage to kidnap Timmy in "Timmy Turner: The Life of a Not So Average Kid" (even with Remy under the impression that they would kill Timmy instead); although he was contemplating on whether to incinerate him or bury him alive. While putting Remy under a temporary coma in order to plan the kidnapping successfully, Anti-Cosmo decided to give him a brain aneurism instead.
