Main Characters

    Flash Sentry
  • The Ace: By the end of the series he is known as "the number one duelist in the world", thanks to having saved the world and having multiple championships under his belt, including the Celestic Cup, Double X, Euro League, and Asia Circuit. His final scene in the series is him about to have an exhibition match against fifty other duelists at once, with the odds actually in his favor.
  • Adaptational Badass: He was a minor character in canon with no magic. Here though, he is contains a special connection to the Spirit World and becomes one of the best duelists in the world.

  • Ship Tease: Gets a lot with Twilight. So much that Everyone Can See It and they become an Official Couple by the end of the second story.

  • Maybe Ever After: The final chapter of the series features a news report about her and Soarin, about to confirm whether or not the two are a couple, only for the channel to accidentally be changed right before the announcement.
Ship Tease: Gets some with Soarin throughout the third and fourth stories. It is more so on his part than hers, but she does blush occasionally around him.

Sombra's Forces

    Sombra
  • Big Bad: Of the first two stories.
  • Casting a Shadow: His Doom-Vader deck consists of all DARK-attribute monsters.
  • You Have Failed Me: He punishes any of his followers who fail him. He brainwashed each of The Dazzlings after they lose a duel, and when his followers are defeated in the final battle at his Crystal Tower, he makes it so they are imprisoned in his dungeon instead of being ejected from his tower. He then ends up on the receiving end of this himself after he loses to Flash, and the Doom-Vader’s attempt to pull him into their dimension for failing to keep his end of their deal.
    Shadow
  • The Dragon: To Sombra.
  • Evil Doppelgänger: Of Flash. This turns out to be because he is really a robot created by Sombra, given a body to look just like Flash.
    Queen Chrysalis
    The Dazzlings
    Lightning Dust
    The Film-Flam Brothers

Omega Zealots

    Zeronull
  • Big Bad: Of the third and fourth stories.
  • The Corruptor: It drew the Zealots to its cause by playing upon their own feelings of anger and heartbreak their lives brought them.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Big time. The Omega Zealots are some of the darkest villains to grace either source franchise, but Zeronull manages to top all of them. In its first appearance, it manages to defeat Flash with little effort and came inches away from claiming his soul.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Promises to give all of its Zealots the perfect world they all desire in exchange for their servitude. Later on it's revealed this promise was a lie.
  • Straw Nihilist: Zeronull sees all of life as a mistake and seeks to wipe out all life in existence to correct said mistake.
    Storm King Dominator
    Chaos Fiend Draconequus

  • Dirty Coward: For all his talk about how he's going to kill everyone he faces, as soon as he's faced with his own defeat, he freaks out.
  • Hate Sink: All of the Zealots have fairly reasonable excuses for joining Zeronull's cause. Hellfire, however, joined the Zealots purely because he was terrified of the idea of dying.

  • Smug Snake
    Gaia-Maiden, Lady Marble
