Other Characters

     Professor Damocles
The leading authority on Pokémon in the Kalos region who also manages Lumiose Trainer Academy on the side. His research is focused on Mega Evolution.
  • Mr. Exposition: He's the one who explains the concepts of Mega Evolution to Marinette and Alya upon their brief return to Lumiose City. He is also quite knowledgeable on the Bond Phenomenon, which helps Alya to confirm her findings that Team Akuma has been invoking the Bond Phenomenon on Ivan and Xavier through Mega Evolution energy.
  • The Owl-Knowing One: A Pokémon Professor who has a Noctowl. Not to mention that he closely resembles his Pokémon.

     Caline Bustier
Marinette and Adrien's main homeroom teacher in Lumiose Trainer Academy and young assistant to Professor Damocles. Even after her class graduates at the beginning of the story, Caline maintains a close friendly relationship with her former students.
  • Cool Teacher: Kind and pleasant to her students, she even helps setup a class reunion in Lumiose City.
  • Shipper on Deck: Knew about Marinette's crush on Adrien during the Academy and was secretly rooting for her, much to Marinette's mortified dismay.

     Tom Dupain & Sabine Cheng
Marinette's loving parents that own a small, but successful family bakery in Lumiose City. They support their daughter's endeavors every step of the way, even if their antics embarrass Marinette to no end from time to time.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: One of their most defining traits, especially when Adrien is around. One example has Sabine mentioning to Adrien in Chapter 2 that Marinette's "favorite alarm clock" was their family Fletchling pecking her awake.
  • Green Thumb: Tom's Sceptile.
  • Like Parent, Like Child: Apparently, having the idea to go defend others by dressing up as a Pokémon inspired superhero is something both Marinette and her father have in common.
  • Mundane Utility: They use Makuhita in helping out with the bakery and deliveries and Fletchling acts as a sort of "alarm clock" for Marinette, much to their daughter's chagrin.
  • Papa Wolf: In Chapter 39, Tom comes to Marinette's defense with his Sceptile, briefly under the guise of Sceptile Mask.
  • Retired Badass: Tom was a strong battler before settling down, though he didn't win any of the Pokémon League Challenges he participated in during his youth. His Sceptile, however, is still considerably powerful despite his age, able to take down multiple Team Akuma Grunts at once with a Frenzy Plant.
  • Shipper on Deck: They certainly approve of their daughter getting together with Adrien.

     Manon Chamack
Nadja's excitable little daughter who's very eager to become a Pokémon Trainer once she turns of age. She wishes to be as strong as her Gym Leader mother and Marinette, her former babysitter, and challenge them to a Pokémon battle.
  • Genki Girl: Manon is a hyperactive young girl who is enthusiastic to become a Pokémon trainer that even she gives Marinette a run for her money. Though during her battle against Marinette's Togetic with the Dedenne she befriended, she soon tires out before she can win the battle, since she's still young to take in the excitement of battling.
  • Mythology Gag: The beginning scene of Chapter 57 features her and the Dedenne her mother caught for her playing around with Dedenne stumbling upon a Zygarde Cell hidden in the bushes. This references Bonnie's role from the anime with the narration even indicating that "in another universe" she would play a very important role in saving the world.
  • Sore Loser: Frequently complains on how Marinette never lets her win in Pokémon battle sims in the past when Marinette used to babysit her.

     Fu Wang
A mysterious old man who is able to sense the incoming disruptions to the balance of nature due to Team Akuma's meddling, doing what he can to prevent them from succeeding. Like the main series, Fu is the one who secretly gifts Marinette and Adrien special trinkets (in this case, their unique Key Stones), sensing great potential from them by the way they handled their first real encounter with Team Akuma in Glittering Cave.
  • Age Without Youth: Despite inadvertently acquiring immortality from the ultimate weapon, Fu still aged into an old man.
  • Big Good: He was the one who gave Marinette and Adrien their Key Stones and is the overseer of the balance in Kalos, alongside Zygarde.
  • The Chooser of the One: He possessed the Key Stones of Xerneas and Yveltal prior to covertly sending them to Marinette and Adrien respectively after witnessing their hidden potential during their first encounter with Team Akuma.
  • Cursed with Awesome: He and his partner were cursed with eternal life in place of their king for the past three-thousand years. On one hand, he was able to venture beyond Kalos and explore multiple regions in his long life. On the other hand, other than his partner Wayzz, he's left all alone while the rest of his friends were killed during the war.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He fought in the three-thousand year war in hopes of protecting his beloved homeland, but when his king descended further into madness, Fu was forced to turn against his master and close friend when he became a threat to his nation and people. Unfortunately, he was unable to stop the king from single-handily ending the war— resulting in the countless deaths of humans and Pokémon alike, including Fu's friends who were in the frontlines.
  • Immortality Inducer: He and Wayzz were on the accidentally receiving end by pushing the king away from the ultimate weapon by the time it resurrected his Floette, thus becoming immortal in his place alongside Floette. However, Fu did state that he has no idea how much longer his lifespan has left.
  • Mr. Exposition: In Chapter 57, he and Marinette finally meet face-to-face in Terminus Cave. He explains her role in fighting Team Akuma, as well as the history of the three-thousand-year old Kalos war.
  • Older Than They Look: Chapter 57 reveals that he is over three-thousand years old, having participated in the Kalos war and even played a pivotal role.
  • My Greatest Failure: Failing to notice his king's growing hatred and madness until it was too late, and Fu was unable to stop him from unleashing the ultimate weapon onto the heart of the war; killing everyone involved, including his friends.
  • Pals with Jesus: He is accompanied by a Zygarde Core.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Fu is over three-thousand years old.
  • Sole Survivor: He is the last of the original 'Miraculous Masters' as he was far away from the battlefield while the rest were killed by the ultimate weapon.
  • The Watcher: Master Fu has observed Marinette and Adrien from afar a few times now, but has secretly given them particularly special Key Stones as means to fight against Team Akuma, who is threatening to overthrow the balance of life and death.
    • He is also hinted to have left the Meditchamite Mega Stone for Alya's Medicham to find in Laverre City.

     Monsieur Alec Cataldi
The main host and announcer of Pokémon Showcases.

     Prince Ali
The young charitable heir to the Mirage Kingdom throne who frequently visits other regions to provide relief to people and Pokémon alike. Rose's Celeb Crush. Following the Dendemille Showcase in Chapter 50, Ali gifts Rose and Marinette Shiny Stones, providing them the opportunity to evolve their Roselia and Togetic, respectively, whenever they want.
  • Chick Magnet: Is described to be as charming, popular, and handsome as Adrien during his guest visit in the Dendemille Showcase during Chapter 50.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: Owns a Togekiss. He also mentions the Mirage Kingdom's special relationship with the Pokémon, Togepi.

     Emilie Agreste
Adrien's mother and Gabriel's wife, who is currently absent due to unknown circumstances. Her mysterious absence, just like in the main show, is Poison Moth's driving motivation to commit many atrocities against Kalos.
  • Ambiguous Situation: Unlike the show which shows her in a type of coma, there is no indication to her current fate. However, the end of Chapter 61 sheds some light that Gabriel's desire to capture Xerneas in particular as it is said to be the only one with the power to "bring her back".
  • Missing Mom: Has mysteriously gone missing four years prior to this story's timeline, unlike in the main show, where she's been missing for a significantly shorter amount of time.
  • Tragic Keepsake: It's implied that Nooroo the Vivillon, who's currently under Poison Moth's ownership, originally belonged to her.

     Simon Grimault
A Psychic studying in the Anistar Gym who specializes in hypnotism and tarot card reading and Marianne Lenoir's leading apprentice. Marianne plans to make him her successor as the Anistar Gym Leader once she's ready to retire from the position.
  • Adaptational Badass: In this story, he's one of the rare few who are naturally born with psychic powers.
  • Cards of Power:
    • Simon's other talent is tarot card reading, indicating his skills in fortune-telling. Another Shout-Out to his weapon as an Akuma villain.
    • It's subtle and not openly mentioned, but Slowking is currently the only known Psychic-type that can naturally learn Trump Card.
  • Hypno Fool: His main specialty, likely a Shout-Out to his akumatized form in the main show. Word of God even states that one of the Pokémon he would own was a Hypno.
  • Nice Guy: He's soft-spoken and polite, as shown when first greet Marinette and her friends when they arrive at the Anistar Gym.
  • Psychic Powers: He's a natural born Psychic in this story and owns a Slowking.
  • Red Herring: At first he appears to be the next Gym Leader that Marinette will have to face in the Anistar Gym, especially when nothing much was said about the current Gym Leader prior to the chapter. Then it turns out he's just the leading apprentice to the Gym Leader; Marianne.

     Marc Anciel
One of Marianne's students and a young Psychic who specializes in Inverse Battles. Though incredibly shy, he becomes fast friends with Nathaniel and the others during Marinette's Anistar Gym Battle.
  • Adaptational Badass: Like Simon, Marc was born with psychic powers in this story.
  • Birds of a Feather: The reason why he and Nathaniel instantly hit it off; both of them are shy, introverted and nice artists. He even owns an Espeon to compliment Nathaniel's Umbreon.
  • Mythology Gag: Marc's specialty in Inverse Battles is an obvious reference to his akumatized form and abilities as Reverser.
  • Nice Guy: Despite being timid, he's generally polite and kind and first approached Nathaniel and the others when watching Marinette's Gym Battle, filling them on the details of the battle.
  • Psychic Powers: Marc specializes in Inverse Battles and owns an Espeon.
  • Reality Warper: Since he specializes in Inverse Battles, it means he can manipulate one of the fundamental principles of Pokémon battles.
  • Shrinking Violet: He's painfully shy and was trying to talk to Nathaniel and the others when he first met them or when trying to explain the concept Inverse Battles.

     Tomoe Tsurugi
Kagami's blind mother, but despite the handicap, she is one of the known strongest Trainers currently residing in the Sinnoh region as an Elite Four member later revealed to have ascended to Champion in Chapter 59. Very strict and traditional, she wants her daughter to live up to the family name as a powerful battler. Her main influence in her daughter's journey stems from a particular set of words passed down through Sinnoh for generations shared before Kagami left: "When a life meets another life, something is born".

  • The Ace: She is one of Sinnoh's strongest Trainers recently ascended to Champion in Chapter 59.
  • Blind Weaponmaster: She is blind like in the show and the bokken she uses to walk with is described to be of Johtonian origin.
  • Famed In-Story: She is mentioned as a Sinnoh Elite Four member whenever Kagami is on screen. Tomoe makes her official debut in Chapter 59 to make official her status as new Sinnoh Champion with President Bourgeois.
  • Handicapped Badass: She's one of Sinnoh's strongest trainers despite her blindness and a skilled swordswoman. She then becomes the new Champion of Sinnoh.
  • Master Swordsman: It's a given as her whole family is famed to be associated with the sword, Pokemon included, and that she most likely trained Kagami herself before her daughter departed for her journey. Plus, she uses a bokken as her blind walking stick. Her Garchomp has sharp claws, which become scythes upon Mega Evolution.
  • Mythology Gag: The words she left to Kagami before her daughter left for her journey were "When a life meets another life, something is born", referencing the words Cynthia shares with Ash, his friends, and Paul in the Diamond & Pearl saga. It's more interesting to note now that Tomoe is Sinnoh Champion as of Chapter 59, but otherwise ironic as the "something" is friendship, which Tomoe sees little value in considering how initially she was against it for Kagami in "Ikari Gozen".
  • World's Best Warrior: She has graduated from a member of the Sinnoh's Elite Four to Sinnoh's new Champion.
