Kalos Elite Four and Champion

     Gabriel Agreste
Adrien's father, the current reigning Kalos Champion, and successful Kalos fashion designer. Strict, disciplined and aloof, Gabriel is the ultimate challenge for any contenders of the Kalos League. He is also well-known to be an elusive celebrity and is a perfectionist; in his fashion designs, Pokémons, his son and his legacy, and most of all, his ideal of beauty. He is also Poison Moth, Team Akuma Leader.
  • Abusive Parents: Just like in the show, while he's not physically abusive, Gabriel can be emotionally abusive when grooming Adrien to become his successor. Aside from micromanaging his son's life in order to succeed him as Kalos Champion, he posed a challenge to Trainers to be merciless to his son if they aspire to compete in the Kalos League. Basically sending a horde of trainers to challenge his son in order to test his son's abilities. Moreover Nino reveals in Chapter 41 the details of Adrien's training when he was around Manon's age. Specifically, Gabriel had his assistant Nathalie oversee Adrien's battle training under his supervision while ordering her to not hold back, even if he was a child back then.
  • The Ace: The Kalos region's strongest Trainer and top fashion designer.
  • Brutal Honesty: In Chapter 41, Gabriel doesn't even attempt to hide the fact that he's less than impressed of Adrien's performance during his one-sided exhibition match against his son, pointing out the mistakes he made.
  • Diagonal Cut: Gabriel's Mega Absol's Megahorn inflicts this on Adrien's Mega Gallade during their exhibition match, which is described to take the form of a Sinister Scythe.
  • Famed In-Story: He's a famous fashion designer and the most powerful trainer in the Kalos region. He's also known to be elusive to the public, only appearing in important events and even then he rarely shows up for those.
  • Foreshadowing: His call to Adrien at the end of Chapter 56, letting him know he'll be very busy for the next few days and cannot by bothered no matter what. While this may come off as typical, lampshaded dryly by Adrien himself, it is hinted that the "quarry" Gabriel is after might be Yveltal, as he now has the means to locate the embodiment of death since Chapter 52.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: During his harsh "The Reason You Suck" Speech to his son after their exhibition match, Gabriel noted that Adrien slacked off during his Mega Evolution training, as he could've started after his third Gym Battle in Shalour City since Adrien had all the tools he needed by that point. Including the Dawn Stone he used in Chapter 40. Needless to say, Adrien doesn't deny the accusation that he could've evolved Kirlia earlier.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Given the revelation by the end of Chapter 50, Gabriel probably upset Nino on purpose in Chapter 42 to leave him vulnerable for a Team Akuma ambush.
  • Parental Neglect: Like in the original show, Gabriel is distant from his son Adrien, only checking up on him so often in regards to grooming Adrien to succeed him and become the next Kalos Champion.
  • The Perfectionist: His goal in life is to achieve beauty and perfection, both as the Kalos Champion and a fashion designer. Which was why he was disappointed with Adrien's performance in his exhibition match.
  • Pet the Dog: Near the end of Chapter 52, he calls Adrien, not to check up on his Gym progression as usual, but to check up on his son's safety and wellbeing out of genuine concern. Especially when he feared that Adrien would be caught up in Team Akuma's scheme around the area.
  • Super Mode: Absol's Mega Evolution.
  • Tough Love: Harsh as he is regarding the treatment towards his own son such as encouraging all Trainers working to qualify for the Kalos to battle Adrien on the spot, Gabriel does love Adrien and believes he has his best interest on heart.
  • Transformation Trinket: He keeps his Key Stone hidden within his blazer while his Absol wears his Mega Stone in a tie that matches his Trainer's.
  • When You Coming Home, Dad?: Just like in the show, Gabriel is rarely around Adrien's life, always busy with his role as the Kalos Champion and promoting his Pokémon-inspired clothing line overseas. In fact, he left Adrien's strict and harsh training schedule to his assistant Nathalie. In Chapter 41, Adrien attempts to ask his father on if he could visit him more often before their exhibition match begun, only for his request to fall on deaf ears.
  • World's Best Warrior: As the Champion, he's the most skilled trainer in the Kalos region. Unfortunately, he's also the leader of the notorious Team Akuma who threatens Kalos.

     Nathalie Sancoeur
Fire Specialist of the Elite Four. Also works as Gabriel's assistant in managing his fashion business. She has known and worked with the Agreste family for an unknown amount of time as she was also involved in Adrien's training regimen during his early childhood, mostly doing so in Gabriel's behalf.
  • The Dragon: Is naturally Gabriel's and Poison Moth's second-in-command.
  • Irony: Usually, Trainers that own or specialize in Fire-type Pokémon are Hot-Blooded in personality. Nathalie is anything but. Though according to Adrien, she does change along the lines of "like a switch going off in her head" when she gets into a battle.
  • Morality Pet: Downplayed in Chapter 50. While she did show concern if Poison Moth was planning to turn Adrien into a Bond Hybrid, she still loyally serves him and isn't trying to dissuade him from continuing his horrific acts against Kalos.
  • Playing with Fire: Her specialty.
  • Secret-Keeper: Is the only one that knows that Gabriel is Team Akuma's masked leader.

     Jagged Stone
Dragon Specialist of the Elite Four. A popular rock star who is known to always be accompanied by his Krookodile, Fang.
  • Graceful Loser: He lost to Wang Cheng in their exhibition match in Chapter 45 but enjoyed the battle so much he didn't mind, congratulating Wang on his victory.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: With the exception of Fang, his team is comprised of Dragon-types. However, as a Krookodile, Fang is capable of learning Dragon-type moves.
  • Super Mode: Mega Salamence.
  • Transformation Trinket: His Key Stone is embedded in his guitar's head while Salamence's Mega Stone is worn in a spiked chocker.

     Wang Cheng
Water Specialist of the Elite Four. Marinette's great-uncle and a renowned chef.
  • Chef of Iron: He's a world-renowned chef and one of the Elite Four.
  • Cool Uncle: He's Marinette's great-uncle and a member of the Elite Four who gives his grand niece some words of wisdom when he helped her train her Feeba into fully mastering Ice Beam.
  • Making a Splash: His preferred Pokémon type.
  • Nice Guy: He's a respectful and congenial man who takes the time to help out his grand niece with training Feebas.
  • Super Mode: Mega Gyarados.
  • Transformation Trinket: His Key Stone is on his chef's hat while his Gyarados's Mega Stone makes the knot of the white headband he wears.

     Armand D'Argencourt
Steel Specialist of the Elite Four. Actively practices swordsmanship.
