The protagonist of the story. A short, blonde-haired, petite, young-looking woman but with a hair-trigger temper that betrays her youthful appearance. Cursed by a witch and is now in a single-minded goal in tracking her down. Always accompanied by Ashaf.
- Action Girl: Very much so.
- Ambiguously Human: Guideau is this in spades. Who is Guideau? We know for sure that the girl she is possessing isn't the real body and she was cursed by an unknown witch by the name of Angela. And what the hell is that beast (Which we assume to be Guideau's true body)? Is it a human or a biological weapon? The answers remain a mystery.
- Babysitter Friendship: You would not have expected this. But Guideau is a pretty good baby sitter all things considered when it comes to handling the Mysterious Boy - a living Tyke Bomb.
- Big Eater: Due to her insane metabolism, she can scoff down feasts fit for an entire family. Don't let her petite frame fool you.
- Charles Atlas Superpower: Guideau's awakened body is ridiculously strong. Up to and including, beating a demonic sword of mass destruction into submission and throwing icicles the size of skyscrapers like a spear.
- Cute Little Fangs: Guideau shows fangs when eating or in rage. Guideau is also quite attractive if it wasn't for that temper.
- Enemy Without: It is confirmed very early on that Guideau is in fact, not the petite but violent girl. Guideau's other body is actually the monstrous humanoid beast sleeping within the coffin carried by Ashaf. Who the girl was originally (assuming that Angela is lying), we do not know yet.
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Inside the realm of Vampires of Orlencia, Guideau is forced to wear one to blend in. Oscar also wears one.
- Face of a Thug: Guideau is quite pretty looking, if only she doesn't have a perpetual resting bitch face.
- "Freaky Friday" Flip: Sort of. According to Angela, the body that Guideau's soul is currently possessing is actually Angela's 'real body'. This isn't surprising since Angela's abilities involve taking over people's bodies. But given how vague Angela is and given her potential reputation. It is left intentionally mysterious.
- Gloved Fist of Doom: Sometimes Guideau may do this when awakened.
- Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Subverted, Ashaf uses range magic whilst Guideau goes all close and personal.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Guideau's first reaction when she hears that a witch is nearby is to bumrush her way through and beat the shit out of her. Which is lampshaded by Helga. Even when there is no witch in mind, it doesn't take much to anger Guideau. Punch first, ask questions later is definitely up Guideau's modus operandi.
- Hates Being Touched: As Ashaf states clearly, if you touch Guideau - even accidentally - your may literally lose your head.
- Hyperactive Metabolism: Guideau is able to heal at an accelerated rate but needs to eat large amounts of food to do so.
- Jabba Table Manners: Guideau isn't the most cleanest of eaters.
- Made of Iron: Guideau has been impaled, set on fire and crushed multiple times only to get back like normal after a few day's rest. A hint that Guideau is anything but human.
- More Deadly Than the Male: Spend one hour with Guideau and trust us, you would want to have Ashaf around to keep you company and alive.
- Lightning Bruiser: Guideau's other body can both hit hard and fast.
- Light Is Not Good: Has bright, golden-blonde hair, golden eyes and usually wears feminine clothing making Guidaeu look unassuming or even innocent from a glance. But she is definitely not a nice person in any sense of the word.
- Like Brother and Sister: Is quickly becoming this with the Mysterious Boy despite the two only living with each other for a few days.
- Magical Eye: Guideau's slit irises definitely hints at her inhuman origins.
- Magic Kiss: A subversion and non-romantic example. The only way Guideau can activate her true power and be awakened temporarily is to receive a kiss from a witch.
- Mark of the Beast: Guideau was cursed by the witch Angela, with the marking being on her neck and resembling a rose.
- Mysterious Past: Nobody knows Guideau's past, let alone whether or not Guideau is the small girl or a giant monstrous man, whether Guideau is even a girl or a dude and whether Guideau is even human. All we know from Guideau's cryptic past is that she got royally screwed over by Angela.
- Older Than They Look: If what Angela states is true; that it has been decades since Angela cursed Guideau. The young petite girl that we see is far, far older than she looks.
- One-Winged Angel: Guideau's other body is basically that; a large, bestial, burly man holding two cestus of doom.
- Pelts of the Barbarian: Guideau's other body wears these for clothing.
- Perpetual Frowner: Guideau almost never smiles once. The only time she does if she smells a witch to slaughter.
- Person of Mass Destruction: Guideau's other body is a one-man army whose punches can wallop entities that would fit right in the world of One Punch Man.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Even when not awakened, Guideau in girl form can smack a wallop of a punch despite being in such a small and petite frame.
- Power Fist: Guideau's other body has a wallop of a punch to say the least.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Ashaf's blue.
- Scary Teeth: Guideau's other body have some very sharp dentures.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Guideau's other body counts as this as it slumbers in an iron coffin carried by Ashaf and only temporarily awakens when Guideau kisses a witch, breaking the seal in the process.
- Slasher Smile: You don't want to see Guideau smile, let alone the context of why she smiles.
- Strong Girl, Smart Guy: Guideau isn't stupid per se, but she is definitely far more stronger than the more collected Ashaf.
- Supernatural Gold Eyes: Both Guideau's normal and "other" body possess bright, golden eyes, which is more apparent in the anime.
- Super-Persistent Predator: Guideau is the beast and she is super persistent in trying to hunt down the witch Angela who cursed her.
- The Right Hand of Doom: Well...technically both cestus/fists of Guideau's awakened body count as this. And they are powerful enough to beat the living shit out of Ashgan, a demon sword that can cut the world in two.
- Token Evil Teammate: Guideau is a 'protagonist' in the loosest sense of the term. Her frequent threats to Ashaf, bloodlust and borderline sociopathic apathy would made her quite villanious in other manga works. If anything, Ashaf behaves more like a protagonist should, than Guideau who is more of a rabid attack dog.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Don't get us wrong, Guideau is as tomboy as you can get, what with her foul mouth temper, poor eating habits, reactionary bestial anger and a resting bitch face. But god damn does she have a sense of style. Just look at any of her outfits in the series or what she wears on the cover art. If it wasn't for her mean streak, she could model for Vogue.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Guideau seems to have a special taste for bones, with Ashaf at one point convincing her to help him by offering her one.

The deuteragonist of the story. A tall, sharply-dressed man with a nice combover. Ashaf acts more like Guideau's handler than an actual partner; keeping her in check so she doesn't cause a ruckus. Constantly smokes, he is part of the Order of Magical Resonance and a mage that specializes in magic involving ravens. Carries around a large metal coffin that is important to Guideau.
- Animal Motifs: Ravens and crows for days. Not only are these birds literally part of his magic, but he also has a sharp eye and the smarts to keep an eye on his surroundings including Guideau.
- Armored Coffins: The coffin the Ashaf carries and houses Guideau's more monstrous body is made out of heavy metal.
- Badass in a Nice Suit: Always wearing a nice suit and a mage you do not want to tangle with, seeing as how he can hold his own against other powerful mages, witches and Guideau.
- Barrier Warrior: Other than ravens, Ashaf's next most common magic are barriers and shields.
- The Beastmaster: He is shown to summon crows, but when the going gets tough, he can summon a giant raven or a giant serpent.
- Black Mage: Sort of, Ashaf's magic is both offensive and defensive in application. Although most of the time, he uses magic to obscure and confuse the enemy.
- Creepy Crows: Ashaf's primary form of magic involves the summoning and utilisation of crows and ravens.
- Creepy Good: Ashaf may look like a tall, creepy gentleman, but he at least has some morals or principles. This makes him act more like the protagonist than the actual protagonist herself funnily enough.
- The Dandy: Very much so, Ashaf always makes sure he looks trim and proper.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Not traditionally, but with his makeup and not super masculine frame he could easily be mistaken for a butch woman.
- Gentleman Wizard: He is both a mage and has some class.
- Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Subverted, Ashaf uses range magic whilst Guideau goes all close and personal.
- Icy Blue Eyes: In the anime, he has light blue eyes, which suits his cool and calm demeanor.
- Ice Queen: Male example, Ashaf is oddly cool and collected in even the most violent fights, with only a few exceptions.
- Making a Splash: His primary form of magic, outside of crows, are water magic. Something that he uses and specialises a lot.
- Occult Detective: As part of the Order of Magical Resonance, that's basically his job.
- Overshadowed by Awesome: Ashaf is a "first rate mage", which would otherwise be impressive, but most of the time the duo are either dealing with witches, which make normal mages look like rank ameteurs by comparison, or comparable threats like forbidden instrument users or elemental mages. As a result, he's usually unable to engage their enemies directly. Instead he uses his magic to provide support from the sidelines while also serving as the brains of the operation.
- Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Has black hair with very pale skin.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Guideau's red.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Ashaf basically carries around Guideau's other body sleeping within the giant steel coffin.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: Even in the midst of battle, Ashaf is still mindful in staying fashionable with a nice suit.
- Smoking Is Cool: Ashaf constantly smokes a cig whenever possible, and he looks stylish with it.
- Strong Girl, Smart Guy: Ashaf is definitely the one that does most of the thinking in the group whilst Guideau just smashes shit into pieces.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky: Is Ashaf tall? Check. Does he wear dark clothes? Check. Is he snarky? Check.
