- Big Good: One of the few characters that isn't planning the subjugation of his fellow man. He even helps Kade heal emotionally after the death of Wats.
Thanom "Ted" Prat-Nung
- The Mistress: Of Su-Yong Shu with her husband's permission.
- Reluctant Mad Scientist: Averted. After his falling out with Chen after Shu's uploading, he goes to become a distributor of Nexus as a Drug Lord rather than become a pawn of the Chinese Government.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Dies in a sting gone bad with the ERD.
Suk Prat-Nung

- Ambition Is Evil: His shenanigans to overtake his uncle get a lot of people killed. Makes a deal with Tuksin to capture Kade and extract information from him.

A little girl that Sam meets in Thailand who wants to be her sister. [[spoiler: She dies in ERD crossfire, but not before helping Sam heal from her experience at Yucca Grove.

- Child Prodigy: With her ability to use Nexus to touch people's minds. apparently this is the side effect of being born with Nexus in your system and learning to use it from day one.

Shiva Prasad
An untouchable who fought his way to the top of India's business world and became a wealthy philanthropist. He heads the Mira foundation that researches children who were born from mothers who used Nexus. He knows of the Hive Mind capabilities of these children and wishes to harness them, along with anyone else using Nexus, to fix all the problems in the world that require Global coordination.
