The protagonist, and a 15 year-old boy with a love of astronomy.


  • Badass Adorable: Nayuta is short, nerdy, polite and a Determinator trained by one of the best swordsmen in the world.
  • Badass Bookworm: An aspiring astronomer and a decently-skilled swordsman.
  • Constantly Curious: He often gets curious on the various phenomena around the Ciencia Sea.
  • Kid Hero: He’s 15-years old and serves as the main playable protagonist of the game.
  • Oblivious to Love: He doesn’t realize that Lyra has feelings for him and gets confused when the others talk about them being together.

A small fairy-like being Nayuta encounters. She is the administrator of the Garden and is tasked with protecting the Master Gears.


  • Cute Clumsy Girl: Try as she might, she is rather klutzy when it comes to basic social interactions and her own movements.
  • Fantastic Racism: She initially doesn't have a high opinion on humans, considering they used the weapons the People of Mythos gave them for war. However, after some time in Remnant Isle, she grows out of her beliefs and later sides with them after Zechst declare Re-genesis.
  • Girlish Pigtails: She has two large pigtails which emphasizes her doll-like appearance.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: She uses the last of her energy to prevent the Earth's core from imploding in Chapter 7.
  • Lilliputians: She is rather tiny when compared to the others characters, making her look more like a toy doll.
  • Verbal Tic: In the Japanese version, she tends to end her sentences with "-na no".

Remnant Isle

    Cygna Alhazen

Nayuta's 18 year-old best friend who arrived on Remnant Isle 5 years prior.


  • Aloof Big Brother: During early chapter, he discourages Nayuta (his surrogate little brother) to let him do all the work and go back to Remnant Isle. After fusing with Selam, he is still dismissive of Nayuta and tell him to stop what he's doing. He soon gets over it after a duel.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Being 3 years older than Nayuta, he often takes the role of an older brother figure for him.
  • Big Eater: Cygna has a massive appetite. In the prologue chapter, after eating at Nayuta and Eartha’s place, he reveals that he already had breakfast with Master Orbus.
  • Fusion Dance: After the two were mortally injured during their fight, Cygna and Selam were fused together as the real Selam.

A girl who is friends with Nayuta and Signa. She has feelings for Nayuta, but can never seem to get those feelings across.


  • Cannot Spit It Out: She always chickens out before she can tell Nayuta how she feels. That or Noi interrupts at the critical moment.
  • Tsundere: She acts somewhat cold and brash towards Nayuta and Cygna, but it's clear that she cares about them alot.

Nayuta's sister who observes Star Fragments.


  • Cool Big Sis: Nayuta's doting older sister.
  • Dude Magnet: Her beauty and cooking skills have gotten a her few male admirers.
  • Secretly Dying: In Chapter 3, it’s revealed she contracted the deadly Abyss Disease while Nayuta was at the Academy and was hiding up until that point. Fortunately, she gets better after Nayuta finds the necessary herbs to cure her.
  • Supreme Chef: She is noted to be a splendid cook and many people wanted to try her dishes.

Cygna’s adoptive father, he taught both him and Nayuta how to use swords.


  • Old Master: He’s an aging swordsman who taught his adopted son Cygna and Nayuta on the ways of the sword.
  • The Worf Effect: During Zecht's invasion of Remnant Isle, he holds his own against the regular monsters, but goes down against Zechst.

A mysterious, amnesiac girl found sleeping in the Garden of Stars.


  • Amnesiac Hero: She has no memory of who she is and where she came from. Her finding her memories forms one the cruxes for Nayuta's journey.
  • Anti-Villain: She joins her father's side to induce Re-genesis on Earth and leaves Nayuta and Noi. However, it's clear that she doesn't want this and Nayuta convinces her to reconsider her options.
  • Mystical White Hair: She has white hair and according to Noi, she belongs to the People of Mythos who used to live in the magical world of Terra.

    Zechst

A cold and intimidating figure chasing after the Master Gear in Noi's possession.


  • Big Bad: He’s the one stealing the Master Gears and the one causing most of the conflict in the game.
  • Dead All Along: The real Zechst perished years prior to the events of the game following the war on humans. The Zechst that appears in the story is actually the Constellation Core's Sacred Statue taking his form.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: He doesn't take it well when he finds out that he's actually a robot rather than the real Zechst.

  • Playing with Fire: As the administrator of the Heinmel continent, he has fire powers.

The administrator of the Altapea continent, he tries to keep the others in check.


  • Blow You Away: As the administrator of the Altapea continent, he has control over wind.
  • Little Bit Beastly: He has a monkey tail and a pair of horns.
  • Shock and Awe: As the administrator of the Altapea continent, his primary power is electricity. He even gifts Noi some of his powers.
  • Vocal Dissonance: His child-like appearance contrasts greatly with his elderly-sounding voice and manner of speaking.

    Erislette

The administrator of the Rieseweld continent, she tends to be a bit heavy-handed.


    Nemeas

The administrator of the La Worg continent, she is the smallest of the administrators, but is quite wise.


  • Little Bit Beastly: She has butterfly wings and antenna.
  • Petal Power: As the administrator of the La Worg continent, she has powers over flowers. She later gifts Noi with similar powers.
  • Unusual Halo: The main location of her gear is on the top of her head, making it look a lot like a halo.
