Muta and Friends

    Mutahar Anas/Some Ordinary Gamers

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/muta_pog.jpg
"Hello guys and gals, me Mutahar."

The channel creator of Some Ordinary Gamers, he used to cover creepypastas, but now covers Internet Phenomena and the Deep Web.

  • The Alcoholic: If you substitute Alcohol with G Fuel, that is. It gets to the point that he starts creating a tower from the used G Fuel that grows taller every single video. Naturally his fanbase starts creating fanfics about the tower. After seeing one such fanfic, Muta is enraged and knocks over the tower.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Muta wants to "sniff Sonic's asscheeks" but also admitted to possibly having illegitimate children.
  • Berserk Button: Wow. Mutahar has A LOT:
    • Civics.
    • Facebook games and invites.
    • Stability Updates
    • Destiny.
    • DarksydePhil.
    • Jaystation and 3 am channels in general
    • Konami.
    • The Emoji Movie
    • Undercooked chicken.
    • The term "Hyper-realistic" in Creepypastas. One can actually chart the evolution of his rage. In the earliest videos, it's not that hated. Over time, he got more and more angry about it, because it kept appearing and kept being shit. In the later creepypasta videos, expect a pause and an annoyed sigh if he has to say the word, and a rant about it when he's done.
    • Basically anything regarding misinformation on network security, computer security, or The Deep Web. He had a field day with a UK government advisory claiming that Discord was a communications platform solely for hackers, and took a stab at Deep Web fearmongering while he was at it, citing a then-recent example of "worse shit" he's found on the clear web.
  • Catchphrase:
    • "Hello guys and gals and welcome to another episode of x" is how he tends to start his videos off. And, at the end, "This is me, Mutahar, and I am out."
    • "(Now,) ladies and gentlemen..." is also something that he says a lot, mostly preceding something that he finds exceptionally stupid.
    • "This is me mutahar and I am out!" said before he ends the video.
    • More recently, he's taken to saying "But Muta" in a ridiculous voice typically done by pinching his nose (so it sounds more like "bUT MOO-DAH" whenever debunking a potential counterclaim (typically an extremely dumb one)
  • Contagious Laughter: One of his most defining (and memed) traits is his laughter being *very* contagious.
  • Make an Example of Them: After seeing a fanfic about his Gfuel tower coming alive and both of them doing NSFW things on the subreddit, he knocks the tower over.
Muta: "Y'all getting too horny over this tower. You know what's gonna happen? *Knocks tower over*. That's what happens."
  • Nerves of Steel: For a man who spends so much time investigating conspiracies, browsing the deep web, watching scary videos, and used to be best known for reading and analyzing every creepypasta under the sun, Muta is virtually unshakable. He is almost never visibly uncomfortable, and many things that may seem creepy or odd will often cause him to (famously) burst into laughter, particulary if it's especially poorly written or put together. Notably, he's literally never fazed by jumpscares of any kind, and one of the most memed and famous clips of his laugh comes from his reaction to a badly put together "screamer". When it comes to many things that are supposed to be scary, he'll usually laugh at how stupid or absurd it ends up being when you think about it for more than two seconds. It's also a part of the reason so much of his audience loves him, as he can approach horror-related or "scary" content at any hour and laugh at it in the face with his audience. That said, it makes it all the more terrifying when something actually DOES unsettle him, as that's how you know it's Serious Business. Some examples are trafficking rings and other things he's come across on the Deep Web, as there are some things he'll see and immediately stop cracking jokes, while talking about it in a sound and serious manner.
Muta reacting to a clip from "5 videos that would scare Santa": If [the uploader] is going to try to pass onto me that this is, like, scary, we're gonna have some problems... I'm passing [the clip] Santa wouldn't be scared... a fucking discount elf wouldn't be scared...
  • "Reason You Suck" Speech: Has many instances of these:
    • Delivers one to N&A productions' audience who he calls "dumb fucking children" and "Absolute Fetuses".
    • Pulls onewhen some people attack Muta over his Zoe Quinn video, it eventually becomes a speech against cancel culture as a whole.
Mutahar: When I made that Zoe Quinn video...I think I WAS THE FUCKING NICEST GUY on it!
    • Pulls another one when somebody asked him about Star Citizen.
  • Trash of the Titans: Downplayed. Towers of G-Fuel cans (or other similar energy drinks) can be seen in the background of many of his videos, with the size and quantity of said towers slowly but steadily increasing.

    Civic Guy

Mutahar: Nobody in this world is perfect, especially that asshole that drives his Civic around my house every night.

Muta's neighbor who pisses Muta off by constantly revving his Civic in front of his house.

    Bubba

Don't do illegal stuff...Bubba needs a new cellmate.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bubba_someordinarygamers.jpg

A certain prison rapist whose victims consist of software pirates and people who were arrested for downloading stuff on the Deep Web.

  • Black Comedy Rape: Him being a serial prison rapist is used as part of a disclaimer at the start of Muta's deep web videos.
  • Breakout Character: Has appeared in two fan games, Bubba.exe and Five Nights at Bubba's. "Bubba.exe" follows one of Bubba's victims being hunted down and chased by him. "Five Nights at Bubba's" follows another one of his victims but this time he is aided by Mutahar, Chad Warden and Sonic.Exe.
  • Digital Piracy Is Evil: Half of his victims are software pirates that got caught by the cops.
  • Prison Rape: Bubba does this to anyone unfortunate enough to be one of his cellmates.
  • Running Gag: Is name-dropped in each video disclaimer telling viewers not to perform illegal activities on the deep web; etc.

Muta's Family

    Muta's Dad

Mutahar's father who Muta mentions occasionally on his channel. He has left quite the impression on his son.

    Muta's Mom

Mutahar's mother who is mentioned occasionally by her son.

  • Obnoxious In-Laws: Her side of the family to be exact. It goes to the point that even 7-year old Muta absolutely detests them.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Is only known as "Mom".
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She apparently doesn't want her son to become a lawyer despite most of her relatives being lawyers. Muta speculates that something happened to influence her decision.
  • Last-Name Basis: Calls her son "Anas".
  • So Proud of You: Muta mentioned in a tweet that she was proud of her son reaching 2 million subscribers. Subverted once she finds her son's video where he recalls masturbating during No Nut November and doesn't return Muta's calls. This gets even worse when his mom sees a Rule 34 of her son having intercourse with an Asari from Mass Effect.

3AM Youtubers

    In General

One of Muta's favorite things to mock are 3AM youtubers, whose content is mainly aimed at kids.

  • Large Ham: As part of their "appeal" to kids, they act as obnoxious and hammy as possible.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Not "evil" per say, but Muta has a bad opinion of them because of their clickbaity and subpar content.

    ImJayStation

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2021_04_26_at_62848_pm.png

The most prominent of the 3AM youtubers and the one covered the most by Muta. Considered to be the worst of them since he's used celebrities' deaths for views and faked his girlfriend's death.

  • Artistic License – Law: In the video which Mutahar commentates on, Jaystation buys a slave off the Dark Web, which would have had him charged for human trafficking, even if he had good intentions about it. The fact that he was never arrested for this - despite having been filmed and uploaded to YouTube - indicates that his "spooky" videos were all staged.
  • Asshole Victim: After years of Karma Houdini, Jaystation was finally demonitized (albeit for getting arrested rather than his previous acts) on 2019 and both his channels were terminated on 2021.
  • Blatant Lies: The entire premise of his channel.
  • Desecrating the Dead: Has "summoned" the ghosts of XXXTentacion and Mac Miller using an Ouija board.
  • Verbal Tic: Has a habit of saying "guys" all the time.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Suffers one when both his channels were terminated, blaming Youtube and swearing to sue them.

    Arcade Craniacs

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arcade_3.png

A man (Edward) and a woman (Nicole) doing 3AM videos, at face value they are about as fake as the rest of the 3am youtubers, with their Among Us happy meal videos. However a closer look into their content reveals that their content is actually semi-satire.

  • Token Good Teammate: What sets them apart from the 3AM youtubers is that their content is actually satire that pokes fun at the rest of the 3AM youtubers. This earns them some well deserved praise from Muta.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Some of their videos have Edward do a Take That! at various "influencers" such as Bella Poarch and James Charles.
Edward: Oh my god guys! He [The Impostor] is making me watch David Dobrik apology videos!
