Original Cast

Nina Haruna

"Everyone's cheering me on! I have to give it my all!"

The main character of the series. Nina is a kind girl who gets her Priticket and becomes an idol. She's empathetic and compassionate, but she can get rather fired up without meaning to, and she can be very stubborn.

• Beware the Nice Ones: Cute and friendly on the outside, but when you push her too far, she WON'T forgive you. Later episodes emphasize this more. Hence, she fights with Fumika in episode 28.
• Character Development: Not as pronounced as characters like Fumika and Asuna's development, but if you noticed, ever since her fainting incident, she's grown from a overly-nice girl who gets stubborn easily to a determined, stronger idol who has a sharper wit and shows more emotions often.
• Crush Blush: Does this around Sun.
• Deadpan Snarker: Not as much as other characters, but later episodes show that she can get snarky when annoyed.
  Isania: Is something funny?
  Nina: (dry) Nothing's funny... your majesty.
• Determinator: Oh, definitely.
• Fainting: Did this in episode 22 due to overworking herself in her training.
• Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She is confirmed to have blonde hair, and she's super sweet and caring.
• Instant Expert: Downplayed. When she performs in episode 1, she's pretty good, but she isn't perfect, and Fumika points out some mistakes that Nina made in the following episode.
• Naïve Newcomer: Was this at the beginning of the series.
• Nice Girl: One thing that will never change is her kindness and empathy towards others.
• Tsundere: Type B.

Fumika Akahoshi

"I think that fight made me stronger. Yeah... I can do it."

Fumika is Nina's best friend. At first, she just seems like an average girl, but we later find out that she got into a lot of drama with units. Even through all the problems she goes through, she tries to stay positive and kind.

• Beware the Nice Ones: Not as much as Nina, but she can still get mad if you push her too far. The best example is when she tells off Himari and Sara in episode 43.
• Character Development: Fumika goes from being a sort of shy girl who hid her feelings until we learn that she used to be in a unit with two toxic girls who got mad at her, and she hates units because of it. However, she gets over her fear after she forms a unit with Nina and Isania and becomes a lot more confident.
• Deadpan Snarker: However, she's a lot more polite than most examples.
• Nice Girl: She's kind and empathetic to everyone.

Lucien Itsuko

The main boy idol in the series. Lucien is a kind and caring boy who can be rather goofy at times without meaning to. He's talented in writing songs and designing coords.

• The Ace: He's good at many things, like performing, designing, etc.
• Beware the Nice Ones: Very rarely, but you wouldn't want him, one of the nicest charcters on the show, to get mad.
• Break the Cutie: Happens in episode 40.
• Nice Guy: He's one of the sweetest and nicest characters on the show, and he hardly has a mean bone in his body.
• Oblivious to Love: With Isania, to the point where when she's blushing, he thinks she has a fever and feels her forehead.

Yuni

Yuni is one of Nina, Fumika, and Lucien's closest friends. She can be cocky and brash, but she cares a lot for her friends and treasures them more than anything.

• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She can get big-headed a lot, but she's a good person at heart. We later find out that this is all a facade, and she's actually shyer and nicer outside of Pripara.
• Only One Name: She doesn't have a last name.
• Tsundere: She can be a Type A at times.

Aku

Yuni's friend who forms a unit called Melo Heart with her. Aku is a weird, but happy girl who's very kindhearted.

• Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Oh, definitely.
• The Ditz: She's... not the brightest idol of the bunch.
• Genki Girl: The happiest girl in Melo Heart.
• Nice Girl: While she's weird and a bit hyper, she's also super caring.
• Only One Name: Like Yuni, she has no last name.
• Smart Jerk and Nice Moron: The Nice Moron to Tama's Smart Jerk.
• Talkative Loon: Talks a mile a minute.

Tama

Tama is Yuni's other friend, and she's also in Melo Heart. She's a cold and quiet girl who never talks to anyone. However, once you get to know her, she can be sweet to you if she decides on it.

• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She seems cold and heartless, but on the inside, she's kind.
• Only One Name: Like Yuni and Aku, she has no last name.
• Smart Jerk and Nice Moron: The Smart Jerk to Aku's Nice Moron, however, jerk is a little strong.
• Tsundere: Type A, but she's more subtle than most examples.

Kimiko Oriumi

A popular but cold idol. She can be cunning, but she's a lot calmer than her manager, Azarashi. In episode 21, she's revealed to be Tama's older sister.

• Rich Bitch: Downplayed; she's not extremely horrible, she's just cold and cocky.

Sun Asahi

One of Lucien's friends. Sun is a boy who's sort of nervous outside of Pripara, but inside, he acts like a prince. He seems cold at first, but he gets better.

• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He seems cold and arrogant, but is actually a good guy.

Yurei

A cheeky girl. Yurei is a sneaky and cunning idol who like playing tricks on others. She doesn't mean it in harm, though, and only means it in good fun.

• The Trickster: She always plays tricks on others.

Chululu

A vocal doll who first appears as a guy named Chris to hide his identity. Chululu eventually meets Lucien and Sun and forms a unit with them. He almost collapses, but manages to survive.

• Character Development: He started out a bit emotionless and confused a lot, but he got more emotions later.
• Deadpan Snarker: Sorta was this in the older episodes, but it's faded out now.
• Nice Guy: He's really sweet.

Nalulu

Another vocal doll. She's an innocent and curious idol who's very kind. She wanted Nina, Fumika, and Isania to form a unit, and the reason she was unable to give Yoru a Melody Cylumn is because she was saving her last one for Nina.

• Constantly Curious: She's innocent and is always wondering about things.
• Nice Girl: A sweet vocal doll who helped Nina, Fumika, and Isania form their unit.

Yoru Hoshizora

A boy who appears as a new idol. Yoru makes his debut, and Fumika falls for him. He also helps her with performing again after her break.

• The Ace: Even more so than Lucien.
• The Generic Guy: He's one of the more average boys, but that doesn't make him a bad character.
• Nice Guy: A kind-hearted and friendly boy.
• Pretty Boy: He has many, many fan girls, and Fumika has a crush on him.

Isania Akahoshi

Fumika's twin sister. Isania is an arrogant girl, however, outside of Pripara, she's nicer. While Isania may seem rude on the inside, she's a lot more on the inside. She also has a crush on Lucien.

• Breakout Character: Ever since she formed a unit with Nina and Fumika, she's become a lot more of a main character than even Yuni.
• Expy: Of Chiri.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's cold and arrogant, but she's actually a lot kinder deep down.
• Rich Bitch: Is an arrogant princess.
• Split Personality: Outside of Pripara, she's way nicer than she is inside.
• Tsundere: Type A.

Ruri

Ruri is a happy girl who the group met at the beginning of the Great Idol Competition. She seems eager and hyper on the outside, but on the inside, she actually seems rather sad.

• Genki Girl: Seems to be this way, but this possibly isn't true.
• Stepford Smiler: She seems happy on the outside, but is lonely on the inside.
• Verbal Tic: Ends her sentences in "-ru".

Tsukiya

Tsukiya is a magician idol who teams up with Lucien in round one of the Great Idol Competition.

• Stage Magician: Acts like one.

Asuna Yuuki

Asuna is a girl who's obsessed with having rivals and winning. She starts out cold, but grows nicer after befriending Nina and Fumika.

• Character Development: She started out as The Rival to the girls, and she seems a bit rude at first, but she we learn that she became their rivals because she just wanted to have friends, and she becomes nicer and hangs out with the girls from then on.
• I Just Want to Have Friends: This is why Asuna wanted to be rivals with the girls, because she doesn't really have social skills.
• I Thought It Meant: No, this Asuna Yuuki is not the Asuna Yuuki from Sword Art Online.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Started out as this.
• No Social Skills: She's shy and awkward a lot of the time.
• Tsundere: Type A; not as much as Isania, however.
