- Difficult, but Awesome: Scrafty's playstyle is complex, but very effective on what it can do.
- Extendo Boxing Glove: The Lucky Punch has a spring which allows it to extend for a long reach.
- Grievous Harm with a Body: Scraggy Swing has it throw one of its Scraggy at the opponent.
- Heal Thyself: When Scrafty eats Leftovers, it gets a bit of health back.
- Improbable Weapon User: Air Balloon, Lucky Punch, Poison Barb, Eject Button, Iron Ball, Light Ball, Flame Orb, and a Scraggy.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Contraband has it pull out an item from its sack.
- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Its Super, Beat Up has it summon its gang of Scraggy to attack the target.
- Poisonous Person: While not a Poison type, its grab can inflict poison if it ate Leftovers. It also has a Poison Barb.
- Shock and Awe: The Light Ball strikes lightning downward three times.
- Stuff Blowing Up: The Flame Orb explodes after a period of time.
- Use Your Head: A number of their moves has it headbutt the opponent.
