Celestials

A special, ancient class of Monsters that manifest the Celestial element and originated from My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire. Like in the original game where they were eventually brought into, they cannot breed, nor can they be bred. Instead, Eggs from the Breeding Structures of other Islands can be "zapped" into the dormant Celestials on Celestial Island instead of being sent to the Nursery. In Dawn of Fire, they can be summoned to Starhenge, a unique Island that serves as the connection between the stars and the Monster World. Once you have zapped enough eggs of each species required into a Celestial, you can revive it. In their dormant forms, Celestials do not produce Currency, nor do they contribute to the Island's song in any way. Once they are revived, however, they begin singing and producing several different types of currency, and they are no longer in statue form.

Celestials are later introduced to the original game through a new island called Celestial Island. They start out as statues and must be revived in the same manner as Wublins, in which they require monster eggs. Once revived, they are reborn and take on a much younger appearance.

    In General
  • And I Must Scream: Downplayed. On Celestial island, within their “sculptures”, their dormant spirits yearn to be set free. When they are revived, they just seem happy to be alive again, and get right back to making music.
  • Elemental Embodiments: The most powerful of the elements they represent.
  • Monster Progenitors: They are believed to be the first of all Monsters in the franchise with each species being the embodiment of an element from the Natural, Fire, Ethereal, or Supernatural class.
  • Never Say "Die": Being Physical God’s & Elemental Embodiment’s that came from constellations in the cosmos, it’s not clear if they can ever really die in the first place, but nevertheless, while the game avoids directly saying that they died, the “Revive” icon implies that at the very least, they can be considered clinically dead while stuck as sculpturesnote .
  • Only Mostly Dead: Zapping monster eggs into their “Sculptures” harnesses enough elemental power to revive the spark of life left in them.
  • Physical Gods: With a great amount of influence/power over their respective elements, elementals, and those born of them.

    Torrt

Torrt

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/torrt.png
Instruments: Kick Drum, Cymbals
Click here to see Torrt in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
Torrt is the rock that all Earth Elementals lean on: dependable, unwavering, and grounded. The steady beat of its drum actively defies the laws of physics, resonating throughout the Monster World and within each Earth Elemental regardless of distance or acoustics. This enduring rhythm has been harnessed by the Monsters for many surprising purposes, including lulling rambunctious young Monsters to sleep.
DOF Bio:
Drawn from the reaches of the Earthen Constellation, the Torrt measures time for all eternity. This monster echoes the heart beat of every earth elemental keeping each firmly grounded in their worlds and their souls. Its carapace shields it from the cacophony of the cosmos, even as it amplifies its own never-ending rhythm: transmitting to terrestrial descendents an infinitude of groove.

    Blasoom

Blasoom

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blasoom.png
Instrument: Bassoon
Click here to see Blasoom in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
The Blasoom has emerged from its ancient shell like a flower blossoming in the early days of spring, feeling refreshed and vibrantly alive. A surprising development in the Celestial's renewal was the disappearance of one of its elegantly oaky legs. While countless botanists and horticulturalists of the Plant Element have researched this loss of limb, the biological explanation behind its late leg growth remains elusive. The Blasoom appears undeterred however, happily hopping from place to place.
DOF Bio:
The Blasoom sprouted to life from the first cosmic dust - burgeoning, blooming, laying down roots and grooves for all Plant-born. Ideas of purest imagination and possibility can be found lining the inner wall of its majestic head bloom, of one only had the courage to peer inside. This Celestial serves to cross-pollinate vibes and grooves across the Monster World, while amplifying its perennial message: to emerge from dormancy and effloresce in a spectacular profusion of song, synchrony, and photosynthesis.

    Hornacle

Hornacle

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

Instrument: French Horn
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hornacle.png
Click here to see Hornacle in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
The reborn Hornacle boasts two barnacle-encrusted legs, unlike its conspicuously peg-legged form of yore. Water Elementals revel in exchanging tales at sea of how the celestial lost its leg. A tangle with an aquatic beast? An unbreakable curse? Only the deep-sea dweller itself knows the truth; not that it will ever share its story, of course. It's much too embarrassing.
DOF Bio:
Ancient legends tell of a cacophony that lasted eons. Yet from this primordial clangor, a wave of harmony swelled, crested, and crashed across the void, pooling into a placid sea of euphony and starlight. Thus a living ocean was formed. Reflected in its shimmering surface, the distant twinkle of Ocean's Tears echoes with the Celestial Hornacle's triumphant song, heralding an age of music - a harbinger of good news and even better grooves.
  • Ambidextrous Sprite: The peg leg and claw hand switch from side to side when flipping Hornacle around.
  • Dressed to Plunder: Hornacle’s body parts make it look like a Pirate.
  • Elemental Embodiment: Of the Water element.
  • Lord of the Ocean: Another way to interpret Hornacle’s design, is that of an underwater king, with triumphant trumpet music, and regal attire.
  • Making a Splash: Is the Celestial of the constellation “Ocean’s Tears”.
  • Seadog Beard: The coral pipes on its face resemble a beard.
  • Seadog Pegleg: One of Hornacle’s legs is this.
  • Secret-Keeper: A downplayed example. It’s the only one who knows how it lost one of its legs, before the Dawn Of Fire, where it can be seen with the pegleg the other monsters assumed was always a part of it. It’s too embarrassed to say how it happened, and being a Physical God that other monsters look up too & tell stories about, it’s probably best it doesn’t break the illusion of being a badass in charge for their sake.
  • Shout-Out: Possibly. The peg leg, claw hand, Pirate motif, and pipe music brings to mind Davey Jones. The bio for its young form brings up two of the (many) theories water elementals have for why its elder form ended up with a peg leg: “an unbreakable curse” and/or “a tangle with an aquatic beast”.

    Attmoz

Attmoz

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

Instrument: Electric Guitar
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/attmoz.png
Click here to see Attmoz in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
The Attmoz has long dreamt of strumming the strings of a physical instrument like its celestial cousin Scaratar. Unfortunately this virtuoso suffers from a lack of binocular depth perception, making fine motor skills a challenge. Remaining as flexible and fluid air, this one-eyed wonder has risen above its limitations and adapted an instrument that harnesses the very essence of the element it reigns over. The air celestial's strength in the face of adversity has made it a symbol of perseverance for all air elementals.
DOF Bio:
Just as air is not yet seen yet is clearly felt, so is the Attmoz's influence invisible, yet keenly perceived by all Air Elementals across the Monster World. As the reification of Air itself, this mystical maestro strums sub-spatial sonic strings, summoning all Air-born to join in a stirring, euphonic jam session. Its monocular vision and unibrow notwithstanding. The song of the Attmoz is most assuredly available in stereo.
  • Air Guitar: Its "instrument", though it does produce actual sound.
  • Blow You Away: Is the celestial of the constellation “Weathered Winds”.
  • Cool Old Guy: Looks perhaps the oldest of the Celestials and rocking out on an air guitar. Downplayed after its resurrection but still present, as it still looks a bit older than the more childish Celestials. Downplayed further with its adult form where it doesn't display any signs of advanced age next to the other Celestials, but its bio alludes that it could be called a windbag with its non-stop chatter about glam rock.
  • Cyclops
  • Elemental Embodiment: Of the Air Element.
  • Glamrock: Adult Attmoz is obsessed with glam rock and talks non-stop about it.
  • Grandpa God: Looks quite old in Dawn of fire, as does its “Sculpture” on Celestial island.

    Glaishur

Glaishur

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/glaishur.png
Instrument: Tom Drum
Click here to see Glaishur in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
Glaishur's rebirth has given it a perspective on life that is as new and bright as freshly fallen snow. The cheerfully chill Celestial is embracing its newfound joie de vivre by taking up a creative hobby: snow sculpture! Many of this frosty giant's oeuvres are meticulously sculpted in the image of the Cold Elementals who revere it, but these Monsterpieces do not last long. Once a sculpture is complete, it is then toppled and molded anew, representing an eternal circle of life.
DOF Bio:
The embodiment of 'cool' with the warmest heart imaginable - such is the nature of the Glaishur. Amidst a confluence of ice crystals, gravity, and chill vibes, this frosty behemoth first manifested and is as abiding and unflappable as the cosmos itself. The expression 'cooler heads prevailed' is believed to have originated with this Monster, known for its ability to settle arguments between its fellow Celestials. With its guttural chant resonating throughout the universe, the Glaishur strikes its drums, marking the slow - indeed, glacial - passage of time.

    Syncopite

Syncopite

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/syncopite.png
Instrument: Synth Drum Kit
Click here to see Syncopite in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
Syncopite is a Diamond in the rough: unpolished and unrefined, yet glistening with an immense potential concealed inside its crude frame. The rugged Celestial has a surprisingly magnetic personality, capable of uniting its fellow Monsters and forging rock-solid friendships. Unfortunately, this inherent magnetism can be troublesome for the mineralized Monster, whose thoughts are frequently interrupted by the sudden collision of stones against its crystalline cranium.
DOF Bio:
The Syncopite was born of a seismic event during which the silence of the primordial cosmic hush grew so heavy, it collapsed under its own weight and compressed into a dense, luminous mass. The Syncopite splintered off from this celestial whole - a living megalith of crystal and rock, exploding and retracting in a percussive celebration of music and life. Its crystalline core and rocky surface reflect, retract, and absorb astral groove-lengths, while keeping time to the rhythm of the Monster World.
  • Chunky Updraft: It plays music by using a collection of floating stones around it to hit its crystalline body.
  • Elemental Embodiment: Of the Crystal element.
  • Glowing Gem: The facets of its crystal slightly glow when it plays.
  • Power Crystal: Is the Celestial of the constellation “Crystaline Crop”.
  • Rock Monster: Ironically, moreso than Torrt. Its entire body is a crystal encased in rough rock.

    Scaratar

Scaratar

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scaratar.png
Instrument: Sitar
Click here to see Scaratar in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
While Scaratar may reign over the element of Poison, the serene Celestial wouldn't hurt a Humbug. The only thing that this pacifist prods with its surprisingly venomous forelegs is its instrument, whose harmonious sound echoes throughout the monster world like an antidote coursing through the body. Despite its tranquil nature, it's certainly wise not to sneak up on a Scaratar: if it pricks you by surprise, you may be left with an embarrassing case of Tweedle pox.
DOF Bio:
The Scaratar is the original galactic guru: the fundamental flower child who, despite its celestial origins is the poison constellation, is nonetheless the antidote to bad vibes and disharmony everywhere. With its inspiring, other-worldly sound effects reverberating throughout the cosmos, it calls upon all Poison Elementals to commune with each other and to gather in harmony with others.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: Despite being a powerful cosmic being that hails from the poison constellation, Scaratar promotes harmony.
  • Elemental Embodiment: Of the Poison Element.
  • Hippie Jesus: Not as blatant as Torrt, but it's essentially the theme of its Elder forms bio. It is called “the original galactic guru” and a flower child, who is the “antidote to bad vibes and disharmony everywhere”, that “calls upon all Poison Element monsters to commune with each other and to gather in harmony with others”.
  • Poisonous Person: Is the Celestial of the constellation “Poison’s Mark”

    Loodvigg

Loodvigg

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loodvigg.png
Instrument:Concert Grand Piano
Click here to see Loodvigg in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
Loodvigg’s skeletal visage may suggest it lacks a pulse, but take the time to revive it, and you will find that the Celestial of Shadow is very much alive! This peculiar pianist is a role model for all startling Shadow elementals that feel misunderstood by their peers. Though Loodvigg’s appearance may chill onlookers to the bone, inside lies a creative soul capable of elegant self-expression through the gentlest caress of its keys. Sadly, the occasional mood swing can lead the adolescent Celestial to be a little forceful with its keyboard - hence the braces.
DOF Bio:
Shadow made manifest, the daunting and unfathomable Loodvigg performs its Magnum Opus, celebrating the delicate interplay between shadow and light. With elegantly webbed fingers poised high above its fine clavier, each mighty strike of the keys sends ripples across the Monster World. Its hypnotic influence is felt by all Shadow-born, who find themselves longing for a place they have never known - yet, somehow - have known all along.
  • Casting a Shadow: Is the Celestial of the constellation “Shadowed Glare”
  • Elemental Embodiment: Of the Shadow Element.
  • Light/Darkness Juxtaposition: The keyboard it plays on has both light and dark keys. Its adult form specifies that, for whatever reason, it has embraced Shadow's opposite element, Light.
  • Living Shadow: Is Shadow made manifest.
  • Multi-Armed Multitasking: Its arms split at the elbows for an extra set of forearms & hands, which it uses to play several keys on its instrument at once. Its reborn form only has two arms, but it looks like the second pair of forearms & hands will grow out from the stubs on its arms at some point. In the meantime, to make up for the downgrade, it uses its Spider Limbs to play extra keys. Its adult form regains the upper limbs, but much smaller, which doesn't stop it from using them to play alongside its legs.
  • Shout-Out: Loodvigg gets its name from Ludwig van Beethoven.
  • Spider Limbs: Its body is spider-like below its torso, with four legs.
  • The Sacred Darkness: Loodvigg celebrates the interplay between shadow and light.

    Plixie

Plixie

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/plixie.png
Voice Actor: Dave Kerr
Click here to see Plixie in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
Like the Plasma Element it represents, the pudgy Plixie's cranium contains a viscous ooze that floats and sways hypnotically within its container. While the joy of revival has made this buzzy Celestial a bit of a party Monster, its head's passing resemblance to a lava lamp should be disregarded. But please - if its Plixie Glass cap falls off while headbopping to its favorite tune, help scoop the goop!
DOF Bio:
Long ago, there was only the stillness of time and space. From this primordial hush, the Plixie is said to have emerged. Breaking its sonic slumber, it oozed and flowed in concert with its own internal melody and the nascent rhythm of the universe. The exotic exoskeleton it routinely sheds and grows anew can be harvested and converted into a beautiful and resilient substance known as 'Plixie Glass.' Its crooning is infused with melancholy and innocence, and speaks of wondrous new beginnings, while longing for a past it doesn't quite remember.

    Furnoss

Furnoss

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/furnoss.png
Instruments: Tom and Bass Drums
Click here to see Furnoss in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
Upon its arrival, Furnoss sensed that once-bright flame of the Fire Element had dimmed to a faint ember. The fiercely devoted Celestial of fire recalled that even the tiniest of sparks can be reignited and began to drum diligently, its resounding beat stoking the flames of hope within all fire elementals. With the fire element beginning to glow again, Furnoss now stores the Monster World's excess embers in its bakery-like tummy. It has rescued countless turkey dinners from burnt ends in the process.
DOF Bio:
The Furnoss is said to have been forged in the living core of Fire and then expelled into the stars above in a prehistoric eruption. Once settled in the sky, it roared to life, throwing off sparks and casting light down on the world below. Possessing smoldering patience, a molten heart, and searing wisdom, it is the symbolic hearth around which all Fire-born gather. With its soul ablaze and its heart on its sleeve, Furnoss ignites the flames of inspiration, leading its fiery bandmates in a combustion of song and inextinguishable joy.

    Vhamp

Vhamp

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vhamp.png
Instrument:Electric Organ
Click here to see Vhamp in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
There’s nothing like a good tune-up for the Mech Celestial! Vhamp’s revival was like a cosmic car wash, removing centuries of rust and rubble to reveal a shining new Monster beneath. Movin’ and shakin’ like a well-oiled machine, Vhamp now spends its days making repairs to the broken down Island it calls home, collecting shiny scraps all the while.
DOF Bio:
After eons spent as a sentient, though incorporeal, mass of energy, the Vhamp finally got itself together – quite literally – and constructed its own physical form from random detritus scattered about the universe. More self-assembled than self-actualized, the Vhamp nonetheless seeks to discover its true self through musical experimentation and purposeful self-reflection. With its pipes, gears, bellows, and levers, the Vhamp is an extraordinary aggregate of basic parts working in complex harmony. It exhibits a steady tempo, smooth airflow dynamics, and wobbly suspension.

    Galvana

Galvana

Element: Celestial

Native Island(s): Celestial Island (My Singing Monsters), Starhenge (Dawn of Fire)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/galvana.png
Instrument: Synthesized Flute
Click here to see Galvana in Dawn of Fire.
MSM Bio:
Even the mightiest of Celestials has to start somewhere! The revived Galvana enjoys its new found freedom from age-old responsibilities, blissfully unaware that its very own creations roam the Monster World. Unshackled from the burdens of guardianship, Galvana instead releases its raw Electrical energy through play, even toying with the very orb that contains its power.
DOF Bio:
The de facto conductor of the celestials (in more ways than one), the Galvana takes a keen interest in the goings on the monster world below. Its staff represents leadership and guidance, and it's said that it even possesses the power to inspire and create life. This monster being harnesses the energies of its fellow Monsters, galvanizing their frequencies and redirecting them out into the universe so that all may hear their song. The Galvana crackles with musical genius and bolts of tireless energy.
  • Elemental Embodiment: Of Electricity, represented by the Supernatural element.
  • Immortal Immaturity: Of all the Celestials, Galvana in it's reborn state is the most childlike, playing with the very orb that contains its power, blissfully unaware of it's responsibilities and creations. Played With in that it's only just reincarnated, but the other Celestials look a bit older after their rebirths.
  • Lightning Can Do Anything: In this case, it can create and inspire life.
  • Shock and Awe: Is the Celestial of the constellation “Immortal Jolt”.
  • Top God: It is alluded to be this, as it's referred to as the de facto conductor of the Celestials, and it's staff represents leadership and guidance. It's also said to be able to create life, which would later be confirmed with it creating the Wubbox.
