Formally named as the "Golden Dragon," Ryujinmaru is one of The Seven Heavenly Realm Dragon Deities (Shinbu Shichiryujin) of Soukaizan who's in charge of working with his world's savior to bring peace back to his world. He embeds himself within a robot figure that Wataru crafted in class, and turns it, along with himself, into a Mashin for Wataru to combat evil.
  • Awakening the Sleeping Giant: Literally.
    • When Ryujinmaru combines with his fellow dragon deities, they will turn into one ginormous dragon deity named, The Rainbow Dragon to kick the ass off it's enemies.
    • Ryujinmaru aka. Golden Dragon himself also holds a primitive form of appearing as a humanized giant warrior if only when The Savior can awaken him by using The Savior's own pure will in the name of justice and love.
  • Bishōnen Line: The Transformation Sequence involves Ryujinmaru transforming from his golden dragon form into a humanoid robot. And then there's the finale of Super where he becomes a literal armored (albeit giant) knight for the final battle.
  • Call to Adventure: When he's in Wataru's world, he would appear from a lake near Wataru's home in his original dragon deity form and inform Wataru if his world would need Wataru to go back for a mission.
  • The Comically Serious: Even in the few moments he provides comedy, he tends to be quite serious.
  • Dragons Are Divine: Of the classic Eastern Dragon type. He's a dragon deity tasked in accompanying The Savior, in this case, Wataru on the quest to save Souzaizan. He's also the dragon that gives Wataru rides in the sky in all opening sequences.
  • Hidden Depths: He's fluent in all dialects from all floors of Soukaizan.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite being serious at all times, he still has moments where he provides comedy, like his Hidden Depths.
  • Power Copying: His mechanism throughout Super. Ryujinmaru gains 6 different super modes from each floor deities of Soukaizan to combat Ankokudar's army. The 6th mode contains 2 deities, which is why it's not the usual 7-element assemble. However, Empress Seiryuhi provided one more magatama gem to awaken the 8th deity to combine all forms into one final form; making it 7 forms afterall.
  • Super Mode: Be sure to check with your neurologist if the above list overheats your brain.

    The Guardian Dragon of Soukaizan
Voiced by: Tesshō Genda

A dragon deity with a similar green shade as the Heavenly Realm Green Dragon, but who's in charge of appointing, and transporting The Savior back-and-forth from The Savior's world to Soukaizan in the first series. By the second series, the transporting task was given to the Golden Dragon, aka. Ryujinmaru.

  • Big "NO!": When Wataru stumbled across the gemstones and was about to throw them out into the lake, the Guardian Dragon shouted his lungs out to prevent it from happening.
  • The Chooser of the One: He's the one who hand picked Wataru to become their world's savior.

Blue Dragon
The Seven Heavenly Realm Dragon Deities (Shinbu Shichiryujin) are dragons who oversees the prosperity of Soukaizan, and are direct guardians of Soukaizan's royal household. The dragons consists of Red, Blue, Fire, Green, Purple, White, and Golden; each rest in different areas around Soukaizan with different tasks to uphold. When all seven dragons acknowledges The Savior, they will merge into one deity—The Rainbow Dragon to aid The Savior in putting down evil.

For tropes related to the Golden Dragon, see “Ryujinmaru.”

  • Bash Brothers: Fire and Golden Dragons are implied to be best pals with each other.
  • King in the Mountain: The seven dragons are the highest level deities of Soukaizan.
  • Sibling Team: Red and Blue Dragons are blood related brothers. It's not clear as to whether they are twins or not, but it is stated that the pair are the longest living dragon deities of the entire team.
  • Threshold Guardians: White Dragon holds the plate of "The Dragon God Shield" meant for The Savior.

    The Dragon of Darkness

The dragon deity of destruction. The Dragon of Darkness was known in Soukaizan's history to befall the apocalypse to their world. Brothers, Doakudar and Doakudar's main plan is to revive this deity so that evil can take over their universe.

    The Star Dragon (Seiryu)
A.K.A. The Guardian Dragon of Seikaizan. It's noted to be a dragon deity that's on par with The Rainbow Dragon in status and power.
