    Azalea House Director

The Director

The kindly head of the Azalea House orphanage where Konoha, Hazuki, and Ayame grew up.
  • Parental Substitute: To all the orphans under her care, including the Azalea Trio.
  • Posthumous Character: Died before the trio contracted, and thus has been dead for some time by the events of the game.

    Felicia Mitsuki's parents

Felicia Mitsuki's parents

    Sana Futaba's family

Sana Futaba's family

  • Good Stepmother: In a less positive than usual example of this trope, Sana's mother was a loving stepmother to her stepsons, at the cost of becoming abusive to her own daughter.
  • Hate Sink: They were abusive to her and disowned her cruelly, and serve no other purpose than exposition for Sana's Magical Girl origins.
  • I Have No Son!: They disowned Sana for disgracing the family name, to the point they forced her to use e-mail for necessities.
  • Jerkass: The mother and older brother called Sana stupid due to her bad grades.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Their jerkish behavior towards them is what caused Sana to become a Magical Girl.

    Sougetsu Izumi

Sougetsu Izumi

Kanagi Izumi's brother.
  • Family Theme Naming: His first name "壮月" is a word for the eighth month of the lunar character, similar to his sister's first name "十七夜" meaning "seventeenth night".

    Yachiyo's grandmother

Yachiyo's Grandmother

  • Cool Old Lady: Kanae certainly saw her as such.
  • Parental Substitute: With Yachiyo's parents often away, Yachiyo's main parental figure for many years was her grandmother. She also filled this role with Kanae, who had a very rough relationship with her own parents.
  • Posthumous Character: Her health was already rough around the time of Kanae's death, and she ultimately passed away sometime before Mel, Momoko, and Tsuruno entered Yachiyo's life.

    Hitomi Shizuki

Hitomi Shizuki

  • Demoted to Extra: In contrast in the original anime, she is reduced to mentions in the game and is completely absent in the anime. It wasn't until Scene 0 that she got a full Live2D model and voiced lines.

    Kyosuke Kamijo

Kyosuke Kamijo

  • Demoted to Extra: In contrast in the original anime, he is reduced to mentions in the game and is completely absent in the anime. It wasn't until Scene 0 that he got a full Live2D model and voiced lines.

    Kazuko Saotome

Kazuko Saotome

  • Demoted to Extra: In the anime, she only appears briefly in the second season premiere.

    Nagisa Momoe's mother (UNMARKED SPOILERS

Nagisa Momoe's mother

Formerly popular on TV, she later became ill and abusive to her daughter.
  • Abusive Mom: She acted like a complete jerk towards her own daughter and had no problem injuring purely for breaking a plate.
  • Asshole Victim: Had her own organs harvested by an organ trafficker... like anyone will feel sorry for her.
  • Beg the Dog: Despite not caring about her disease killing her, she begs for Nagisa to call the hospital after having her organs ripped out and stolen.
  • Evil Is Petty: Injured her daughter for no reason other than breaking a plate.
  • Gutted Like a Fish: She dies after Yuu rips out her organs, which no doubt required her to cut her open.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Her abusive behavior towards Nagisa ultimately led to Nagisa becoming a Witch and killing Mami in episode 3, eventually spiraling into catastrophic dominoes involving the demise of Kyoko and Sayaka and Homura having only herself to stop Walpurgisnacht.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Even if her nihilistic endangerment of all humanity doesn't stand out, being the first in a series of disaster dominoes leading to the original Madoka Magica anime always will.

    Sumomo

Sumomo

A young girl similar to Kyoko's late sister, appearing in Kyoko's "A la Carte Valentine" event.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name is a shortened form of "Sakura Momo", referring to her status as an expy of Kyoko's late sister.

Others

    Hiko

Hiko

Himena's boyfriend who was driven to suicide before the events of Act 2. Due to Hinema's wish, his soul lives on in her body.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: He and Hinema were best friends who eventually started dating. Though this would get him bullied and harassed by those who thought Hinema was too good for him until he committed suicide.
  • Driven to Suicide: Due to extensive bullying and disparaging by his classmates and teachers alike.
  • The Lost Lenore: His death had a significant impact on Himena. Without it she'd certainly be a happier, more stable girl who would not be a major antagonistic force in Act 2, let alone one following Magical Girl Supremacy.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Hiko died in Himena's backstory, has no detailed character sprite, and what roles he has in the main story are mostly to confirm that his soul is in fact in Hinema and she's not simply hallucinating. Without Hiko's death one of the major characters of Act 2 would be completely unrecognizable.

    Mikoshiba

Mikoshiba

The current member of a family that seized control of the Tokime Clan centuries ago who controlled the wishes of the clan for power and profit.
  • Big Bad: The main antagonist of the Green Jasper Diviners Event.
  • Evil Old Folks: The brutal leader of a large clan who controlled the lives of its members, manipulated girls to contract for profit and later disposed of them, and held Sunao's parents hostage to have her kill her enemies for her. Chiharu initially called her granny.
  • Killed Off for Real: Does not survive the events of her event, killing herself with poison after Shizuka, Sunao, and Chiharu destroy Lucy.
  • Legacy Character: Mikoshiba clan members, taking the same title as the one in Shizuka's time, have been ruling and abusing the family for centuries as seen during the Tokime Collective Tale event.
  • Humans Are the Real Monsters: Completely human, unlike the Witches and Kyubey. Has little to no greater good goals like most every other antagonist in the franchise and lacks the sympathetic motives of even other antagonists not motivated directly by a greater good. Her own recordings as seen in Shizuka's Magical Girl Story show that she's far more motivated by power and profit than patriotism, and the actions of her ancestor in Tokime Collective Tale show this is hardly restricted to just her.
  • No Name Given: Mikoshiba is her family name, her first name is not used.
  • Posthumous Character: Despite being dead before the events of Act 2, the legacy of her and her clan's actions affect all Tokime clan members in some way or another, even if they just had their ancestors flee as far away from her as possible as is the case with Ryoko and Chika. The environment she created also greatly affected Shizuka's mindset, leading to not just her comedic naivety about the world around her, but also her morality that would cause Shizuka and the Tokimes no small amount of trouble in Act 2.
  • Spiteful Suicide: Her response to the Diviners acting against her and defeating the Witch that was a huge part of her control of Kirimine Village, and then confronting her? Feigning being controlled by Lucy before ingesting poison.

    Shizuka's Mother

Mrs. Tokime

The mother of Shizuka Tokime, who lives in Kirimine Village
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: One of the few things that can make Shizuka react like a regular teenage girl is her mother being silly, such as having fun at her daughter's expense due a valentine's day misunderstanding.
  • Badass Normal: Not a Diviner like her daughter, but she is skilled in martial arts and can be trusted by her daughter to perform crowd control like Chiharu and Sunao.
  • Good Parents: Quite helpful to her daughter's goals, helping her in rebuilding the clan following the overthrow of the Mikoshiba.

    Tasuke Satomi

Tasuke Satomi

Nayuta’s father, and Touka’s uncle.
  • Meaningful Name: His last name Satomi "里見" means "looking at the village", referring to the Tokime village his book looks at, and his first name Tasuke "太助" means "big assistance", referring to his significant role as an ally with the Magical Girls.
