The various main characters of Kingside High.
Aniseed Vortexmouth
A Parasprite.
- Animal Talk: He can communicate with animals, such as Arrell's pet phoenix Zoey.
- Meaningful Name: Considering his species.
- Big Eater: Well, he's a Parasprite, what do you expect?
- Hive Mind: He can communicate with other Parasprites through thought. Their stomachs are also similarly linked, so he can eat things and have another Parasprite spit them up as a form of storage, then mentally tell them to send it back to him when he needs it.
- This Means War!: Feels this way when the lunchperson denies him extra food.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: This is how he retrieves items stored away as described under Hive Mind.
Havoc
A draconequus.
- Artificial Limbs: Has a wooden arm. Tries to bond with Jack over it.
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander
- Meaningful Name: He tends to cause havoc as he goes.
- Psychopathic Manchild
- Squee: His reaction to seeing Jack the "kitty".
Catastrophe
A griffon.
- Gold Digger: Shows shades of it when she (possibly sarcastically) offers to give Havoc a chance at a romantic relationship if he does all her homework.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold
- Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Though how destructive or disturbing she can be has only been implied so far.
- Stepford Smiler: Seems to be lonelier than she makes obvious.
Jack Khajiit
A bast.
- Aerith and Bob: All the other students have odd names, while he's just Jack.
- Artificial Limbs: Has a wooden arm. Havoc tries to bond with him over it. Jack is weirded out.
- Butt-Monkey: Becomes one when around Havoc.
- Deadpan Snarker
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: He questions why English class is called...well, English class, when they live in Equestria.
- Only Sane Man: Well, more like "most" rather than "only", but still fits.
Arrell Ragnarok
A Windigo.
- An Ice Person
- Adaptational Wimp: Gets hit the hardest with this; instead of just not being a badass like the other characters, he becomes nervous and jumpy; a stark contrast to his original personality. Justified in that he's new in town, and explained by Word of God as being because his original personality was too similar to Knightmare's, so it was changed to add some variety.
- The Insomniac
- Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Subverted. With a last name like Ragnarok you'd expect this, but he's not really the type of guy you'd be afraid of.
- No Biological Sex: Windigoes technically have no genders, but Arrell is referred to as male for the sake of simplicity.
- Shrinking Violet: Downplayed a bit, but still there.
Knightmare DemonBane
A changeling.
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander
- Keet
- Noodle Incident: Whatever that "D&D LARP prank" was that earned him the nickname "Sir Knightmare DemonBane".
Zeta
A cynogriffon.
Vixen
A white fox.
Checkmate
The principal of Kingside High. A griffon.
- Meaningful Name: His name is Checkmate, and he's the principal of Kingside High in a Chess Game of the Gods spinoff.
- Only Sane Man
- The Stoic
Zephyr
The vice principal. A crow lady.
- The Dreaded: Amongst the students, at least.
Chrysalis Glasswing
The school counselor. A changeling, and the same Chrysalis as from the actual show.
Tiff Combie
The home economics teacher and Catastrophe's roommate. A honey creature.
- Lame Pun Reaction: The first time Cata says she has a "sweet face", she just asks her to never say it again. When Cata says some of the guys might be "sweet" on her later on (with the pun being unintentional this time), Tiff just slaps her in the face.
Candy Cane
The school nurse. A unicorn pony.
- Alliterative Name
- Hospital Hottie: Well, she doesn't work in a hospital, but she still fits the criteria.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Silynn's red.
- Shrinking Violet
- Stepford Smiler: A variation in the sense that, rather than keeping up a cheerful personality to mask depression, she keeps up a cheerful (if somewhat shy) personality to hide the existence of Silynn.
Silynn
Implied to be Candy's alternate personality of sorts. As it is, she's just a voice in Candy's head, defined by red text.
- Blood Knight: Implied, albeit downplayed.
- Deadpan Snarker
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Candy's blue.
Necore
The science teacher. A skeleton.
- Berserk Button: Asking if his Companion Cube has a corpse in it.
- Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: He asks his students to sign a form stating he is not responsible for injuries brought on by "explosions, horrors of a different dimension, being erased from time, and accidental obliteration."
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander
- Companion Cube: And it's an actual Companion Cube.
- Dem Bones
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Compared to Fortesque, the only other skeleton, he's red.
Jack Daniel
The custodian. His species is unknown, but described as "a tall anthropomorphic hybrid, who looked like someone combined a cat and a dog then dumped black paint over the result with a dash of neon green".
Daniel Fortesque
The history teacher. A skeleton.
- Dem Bones
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Compared to Necore, the only other skeleton, he's blue.
Hollow
The music teacher. A Nobody.
Integral Tangent
The math teacher. A crystal pony.
- This Is Gonna Suck: He doesn't seem to be looking forward to his job.
Time Turner
The shop teacher. An earth pony, heavily implied to be the Doctor.
- I Have Many Names: "I am Time Turner. You can call me Mr. Time, Mr. Turner, Teacher, Teach, or The Doctor." Justified in that, with the exception of The Doctor, all of those are just variations on his real name or the word "teacher".
- Shout-Out: Pretty much everything he does is a reference to, of course, Doctor Who. Things such as the TARDIS, the sonic screwdriver, and even a Dalek all appear, though none are referred to by actual name.
Flowery Prose
The English teacher. A pegasus pony.
- Motor Mouth: When she starts rambling.
- Shrinking Violet: Though less shy and more just easily embarrassed.
