This is a list of the characters that are part of the Hero: The Guardian Smurf story series.

Main Characters

Hero Smurf

The main character of the series.

• The Exile: Becomes this for 100 years of his life due to losing control of his powers.
• Expy: of Goku from the Dragon Ball series.
• Facial Markings: Has a gold H on his forehead.
• Gold-Colored Superiority: Wears a gold-colored suit, but otherwise acts like he's one of his fellow Smurfs.
• Happily Married: To both Wonder and Smurfette in separate marriages.
• Mark of the Supernatural: Has a yellow H on his forehead to indicate that he has Ki abilities.
• Second Love: Wonder becomes that for Hero after Smurfette, though Wonder becomes Hero's first wife.
• Third-Person Person: Some stories have him referring to himself as "this smurf", similar to Empath.

Papa Smurf

The leader of the Smurf Village. See Characters/The Smurfs

Smurfette

Hero's first love, before Wonder came into his life.

• Fanservice Pack: Grows breasts in "Smurfette's Crazy Love" and stays that way for the rest of the series.
• First Love: Of Hero.
• Happily Married: To Hero.
• I Will Wait for You: Waited a few centuries until Wonder died before she became Hero's second wife.
• Mystical Pregnancy: Becomes pregnant with Hero's second child through a fertility blessing by Mother Nature.
• One True Love: Hero. As a sign of being faithful to him, she remains virginal and unmarried until Wonder passes away.
• Rescue Romance: Initiated one when she convinced Hero not to commit suicide after Wonder passed away.
• Silver Vixen: Still looks beautiful even with silver hair in her later years.

Wonder Smurfette

His Distaff Counterpart and Opposite-Sex Clone, who was created through the Mirror of Opposition.

• Expy of Wonder Woman.
• Facial Markings: Has a gold H on her forehead.
• Happily Married: To Hero.
• Mark of the Supernatural: Like Hero, also has a yellow H on her forehead.
• Mystical Pregnancy: Becomes pregnant with Hero's first child through a fertility blessing by Mother Nature.

Fergus MacSmurf

One of Hero's best friends among the Smurfs.

• Captain Ersatz: For Gutsy from The Smurfs film series.
• Smurf In A Kilt: Wears one constantly.

Hawkeye Smurf

One of Hero's best friends among the Smurfs.

• Cool Mask: His mask serves to relieve Hawkeye of painful headaches due to his incredible vision.
• Expy of Hawkeye from The Avengers.

Saviour Smurfette

Hero's first child through Wonder Smurfette.

• Facial Markings: Was born with a gold H on her forehead.

Miracle Smurfette

Hero's second child through Smurfette.

• Facial Markings: Was born with a gold H on her forehead.
• Meaningful Name: Miracle was so named because it was thought impossible for Smurfette to conceive and bear a child at her old age.

Gargamel

Gargamel II

An identical descendant of Gargamel who continues his predecessor's reign of terror over the Smurfs.
