A wildlife researcher and conservationist—-
  • Cool Sword: Carries a retractible sword, which can be easily stored and hidden on his belt
  • Deadpan Snarker: If he finds an opportunity to snark at something, he will.
  • Heroic BSoD He falls into a massive one after he finds the body of Matthew Franklin, and then finds out half the wolf pack he's been studying has been wiped out.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: He becomes completely shocked when he sees how close he came to beating Simon to death.
  • Nice Guy: He's fairly friendly and easy going. That is, unless you get on his bad side.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Well, speaks fluent werebeast. He can communicate with werebeasts even when they're in their animalistic forms.

    Simon Jones (Unmarked Spoilers
Theodore Jager's top agent, and former research partner of Jonathan.—-
  • Affably Evil: Even when working for Theodore, he's still quite friendly
  • The Dragon: To Theodore, serving as his top agent.
  • Dual Wielding: He wields two daggers as his main weapon of choice.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite working for Theodore, he is still rather uneasy about working with Darkfear. He is also apalled when he discovers Theodore has been experimenting on people, leading to his Heel–Face Turn.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After seeing what kind of monster Theodore truly is, he quickly switches sides and joins up with Jonathan and co.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: He slowly starts to regret helping Theodore hunt down the werebeasts, especially after learning they're innocent people, and that Theodore has been experimenting on them.
  • Shipper on Deck: In Blood Moon, he is clearly happy to see Jonathan and Frederick together and asks if they are still dating.

    Bethany Carter (MAJOR UNMARKED SPOILERS
A notorious outlaw who was believed to have died prior to the events of the story.—-
  • Affably Evil: She's quite friendly for one of the most feared outlaws in Nova Fides.
  • Chupacabra Her true form is based on the canine-esque version of chupacabras.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite being a notorious outlaw who has no qualms about killing others, she's still appalled when Jessica almost kills her own son.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: She's a notorious outlaw and also the queen of Nova Fides (or, at least, she pretends to be).
  • Heroic BSoD: She falls into one when she finds Jonathan unconcious towards the end of Blood Moon
  • Human Shifting: She can shapeshift into other people, which allows her to remain hidden and anonymous.
  • Kill and Replace: It's revealed at the end of the story that she killed the original Natalia Jager and took her place as the wolf queen.
  • Rage Breaking Point: She reaches this in Blood Moon after Victor taunts her, intending for her to transform to her true chupacabra form and attack everyone around here. However, Frederick manages to snap her out of it and she becomes horrified at how many people she has hurt/killed.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: She is able to transform into other people or animals at will. However, if she is angry enough, she loses the ability to change volutarilly.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about her without revealing the fact she's A: been impersonating Natalia Jager, and B: is the stories true Big Bad.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: While she is a murderous outlaw, she's just trying to avenge her family and prevent others from suffering the same fate she did.

    Darkfear (MAJOR UNMARKED SPOILERS
A feared dragon who wiped out the original kingdom of Nova Fides.—-
  • Dark Is Evil: A large, black dragon who's practically made of pure evil.
  • The Dreaded: He's one of the most feared beings in Nova Fides, being responsible for wiping out an entire kingdom.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Speaks with a deep, gravelly voice.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Despite Bethany and Theodore being the main villains, Darkfear is the one pulling all the strings. He later becomes the Big Bad in Blood Moon.
  • Mad Scientist: As Victor Black, he is a skilled scientist who conducts unethical experiments on people and animals.
