Fear the Night is a story written by RedstonePrime, and his first non-fanfiction story. It follows the adventure of two friends; a conservationist and a detective, as they try and solve a series of murders that have occured in the kingdom of Nova Fides.

  • Action Film, Quiet Drama Scene: While on the train heading to Theodore’s fortress, Natalia and Jonathan both share the stories of their Dark and Troubled Past with each other (although Jonathans talks about Frederick’s past rather than his own). However, Simon Jones soon intervenes, leading to a fight that starts off inside the passenger train before ending up on top of freight train.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Theodore Jager and Bethany Carer both serve as the two villains of the story, being behind the murders. However have their own motives for their actions.
  • Fantastic Racism: Theodore Jager is prejudiced against werebeasts. This also serves as his motive for hunting them down.
  • Heroic BSoD: Jonathan falls into a massive one when He sees the body of his brother lying on the ground, and then learns that half the wolf pack he's been studying has been wiped out.
  • My God, What Have I Done?:
    • Matthew Franklin is horrified when he learns that the werebeasts he's been helping to hunt down were innocent people.
    • Natalia Jager Has one when Matthew tells her she's responisble for turning him into a werebeast.
    • Jonathan has a moment of this when he sees Matthew lying dead on the ground, blaming himself for his death after he told him to leave the house. He has a second one later on when he almost beats Simon to death in an Unstoppable Rage.
    • Jessica Franklin completely breaks down when she realises she almost killed her own son in an attempt to cure him.
    • Theodore, of all people, has one when he breaks free of Darkfears mind control, and sees all the destruction his own actions have caused.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: It's very inadvisable to mess with people name Vulfsmörder (German for Wolf Killer), and Darkfear.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
    • Jonathan gives one to a train guard and Simon Jones, calling them out for being easily manipulated by Vulfsmörder.
    • Theodore gets one from Frederick, who exposes his true motive for wanting the werebeasts killed off.
  • Traintop Battle: Half of chapter 9 involves Jonathan, Natalia, and Simon fighting on top of a freight train, that is heading in the direction of Theodore's fortress.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • After finding out that his own mom has been working with Theodore, Jonathan calls her out for being easily tricked by him.
    • Natalia ccompletely snaps at Jessica when the latter almost kills her own son.
