A mysterious creature of ancient origins, Sasha is Crafty's kindhearted ex-girlfriend. The two of them once met out at sea, and their friendship quickly blossomed into a romance, which is detailed throughout many of the show's flashback sequences. Unfortunately, their newfound relationship wouldn't last; Sasha mysteriously disappeared one day and never came into contact with Crafty for many years since. Knowing that she left him deeply heartbroken, her decision quickly became her biggest regret in her long-lived life. After a certain point, Sasha begins working up the courage to try and make amends, but her inexperience in both dealing with intense emotions and confronting her guilt prove to be huge hurdles for her to overcome.

What exactly Sasha's species is turns out to be instrumental in the schemes of Doctor Mindstein, and it even contributes to the Crafty Crew's lives in other ways that nobody—not even Sasha—could have anticipated. The moment she appears in the story in the present day, the stakes rise to divine proportions with world-threatening consequences. Thus, as she deals with reconciling with Crafty after their breakup, she must also fight to ensure that neither Mindstein nor anyone else abuses her species' legacy.

Sasha was designed by Rin Lockhart.

  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Thanks to being plainly influenced by goth fashion, the outfit for Sasha's human disguise lines up with her melancholic personality perfectly. It's also somewhat similar in tone to the younger Crafty's emo outfit, as though the foundation of Sasha's disguise is based on the common misconception of goths and emos being one and the same. The flashback in "This is Crack(ship)" reveals that she first donned this disguise when her understanding of humanity was rather low—a time when she was most likely to make such a mistake.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: As cordial as she is most of the time, Sasha is still a capable fighter, and she will invoke the wrath of her race if it means protecting her loved ones. This is especially the case whenever Crafty's life is in danger; if she observes that something's amiss through her psychic connection with him, Sasha will either intervene herself or substantially power him up.
    • Even though she's forced to fight him on his terms during "The Foreshadow Game," Sasha manages to make some skilled plays that leave Bakura utterly cowed throughout their Shadow Game. The only reason that she doesn't succeed is due to her possessing Crafty's body; it quickly reaches its limit in the final part, causing Sasha to almost lose her hold over it and unintentionally leave it to die. However, her efforts create an opening for Crafty to finish the fight in her stead, with his consciousness retaking control of his body and finishing Bakura off with his freshly developed Sephiragicia card.
    • When he tries infiltrating Crafty's mind in "Titans! REBOOT," Bill Cipher is dismayed to find Sasha's spirit waiting for him. Now, without any conditions holding her back like in her duel with Bakura, Sasha is free to terrify Bill into submission and slay him—permanently—with her Infinium Sword. This confrontation is notable for implying where Sasha's race stood in divine society; whatever the Infinia had accomplished in their prime left them feared and loathed by many contemporary deities.
Bill: Listen here, googly-eyes, I'm under contract to find where that door is, so let me out of this punk kid's head, and maybe I'll only leave minor mental scars on the way OUT!!
Sasha: I can't let you do that.
      Bill: Huh?
Sasha: The one who sent you is after the man I love. If they want to hurt him just to get to me, then I'll stop you myself.
Bill: Like hell you will, you dumb broad! I'm getting outta here and getting that door—myself! Then I'LL be all-powerful—
[Sasha freezes Bill in place with some magic, instantly shutting him up.]
      Bill: W-Why can't I move? WHY CAN'T I—
Sasha: Crafty didn't allow you to enter his mind—I did. After the last time his mind was attacked by Zorc, I left part of myself here to protect him from monsters like you. I won't let you escape, nor will I let you live.
      [Sasha summons a blade.]
Bill: Oh no... That's... THE INFINIUM SWORD!!! THE GOD KILLER!!!!
Sasha: For a godly being, you're so small-minded. This sword doesn't kill gods. A dead god can be revived by the Torch over and over and over. So this isn't going to kill you; it will completely and utterly erase your very existence, never to return in any shape or form, Torch or otherwise.
Bill: Y-YOU CAN'T DO THIS! I WAS BEING SET UP! It's all that witch Mindstein's doing! She's the one who brought me back and forced me into a deal with the Flute! It's not my fault! I was just—
Sasha: Just going to take the door's power for yourself instead.
      Bill: Meep.
      Sasha: Goodbye, Bill.
Bill: N-Nonono, please, wait!! Let's make a deal!
Sasha: By the power of the Infinium Sword, you will be but a vision—a dream. Nothing of you will exist but empty space. You, Bill Cipher, are now but a thought.
[Sasha stabs Bill right through his single eye. When she withdraws the blade, Bill's body erupts into blue flames as his eye fills with blood.]
Bill: GYAAAAAAAGH!!! NOT AGAIN!! DAMN YOU, MINDSTEIIIN!!
[Bill starts mimicking the appearances of different characters that his voice actor has played in the past will gibbering about something in reverse speech. He reaches out towards Sasha.]
      Bill: SAAAASHAAAAAAA!!!!!! AAAAAAAAUGHHHGHGH!!!
[After that spectacular display, Bill finally fades out of existence—for good.]
    • Sasha initially opts to sit out from participating in the climax of "I Need a Hero Academia," following her gut instinct and Disgustilda's advice to let Crafty take care of things himself. However, when Crafty's Infinium Heart is revealed to everyone involved, Sasha realizes how much the stakes have risen and is forced to intervene. Thus, she boosts Crafty's strength tenfold, which, in tandem with his borrowed One-For-All Quirk from Deku, allows him to deliver his brutal final blow against the invading Mindstein clone. As she does, she even calls back to her speech from the beginning of Season 3, "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped," reminding Crafty of how much he's grown.
Sasha: Colin... I don't know how I gave you this power. But you have friends to protect with it now. Friends that support you... love you... Now let my power be yours! I'll hold you together as best I can! So give her your all, Colin! Your One for All!!
  • Big Good: Through her own account of her past during "We’re Back! A Crafty Story," Sasha firmly cements herself as the show's biggest force of good. She not only created the show's universe, but she also has vast knowledge regarding her species and its technology, divine life in general, and the history of the time before the present-day universe. Additionally, she's accidentally responsible for arming Crafty with his Infinium Heart, giving him a fighting chance against Mindstein whenever she strikes again.
  • Blue Is Heroic: No matter what form she takes, Sasha always has light blue skin, which is supplemented by deep blue hair in her human disguise. The color choice coincides with her benevolence; she wants nothing but the best for her loved ones and will do everything in her power to protect them. Episodes like "The Foreshadow Game" and "Titans! REBOOT" demonstrate her heroism, with her swooping in just in time to save Crafty and his Crewmates from Bakura and Bill Cipher, respectively.
  • Chekhov's Skill: "The Legend of Lonk's" flashback establishes that Sasha is a seasoned Duel Monsters player, with her handily trouncing Crafty in every match that they share. This expertise comes up again during "The Foreshadow Game"; when Sasha detects that Crafty is in danger, she races to the castle to find it under Bakura's control. She takes up Bakura's Duel Monsters challenge in order to save the Crafty Crew; while she almost loses, she nevertheless gives Crafty enough of an opening to defeat Bakura himself.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Sasha's mouth is full of sharp teeth that are only visible when her mouth is open; her human disguise only has sharpened canines that are similarly covered. Along with her blue skin, these teeth are a big indication that Sasha isn't human. Tellingly, they're first revealed in "Legend of Lonk," after her benevolence is firmly established in Crafty's flashback. It paints the design choice as more endearing than frightening.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Darkness serves as a recurring theme in Sasha's appearances. Never once is it used to paint her as an evil sort; at worst, it renders Sasha's intentions ambiguous until more context is given. Darkness is otherwise used to underscore her strength as a goddess and the sadness tied to her character.
    • The "Aqua Marina" flashback details Sasha's appearance to Crafty during his hospital stay. It's heralded by the sky being overtaken by storm clouds, which completely block out the sun as Sasha crawls her way up to Crafty's room, each flash of lightning showing off her progress. The presentation makes Sasha's intentions with Crafty ambiguous and mildly threatening, but a follow-up flashback in "Legend of Lonk" reveals that she merely wanted to start a friendship with him before he left for home. It's this subsequent appearance that cements Sasha's character as a mysterious but ultimately benevolent and kind-hearted creature, even when subsequent episodes introduce the conflict between her and Crafty.
    • There's one notable moment in which darkness is used to make Sasha seem threatening, and it's when she's isolated Bill Cipher within the depths of Crafty's mind in "Titans! REBOOT!" She purposefully sets herself up to be as intimidating as possible, pulling the rug out from Bill just as his victory over Crafty seems assured and backdropping their confrontation in the dark with countless Infinian eyes. She also details exactly what her Infinium Sword can do to gods, letting Bill squirm in fear a bit longer before she moves in for the killing blow. All of this is done to ensure both the safety of Crafty and the world at large, and Sasha's body language and speech thereafter imply that she really wanted to avoid her violent approach.
[With Bill now irreparably dead, Sasha begins to monologue to Crafty from within his mind just before he wakes up.]
Sasha: ... I'm sorry, Colin. I really hoped this would never happen. The relics are resurfacing... *Sigh*... Another Divinimachi is on the rise. But... Even if it's just a small part of me, I'll be here to protect you this time. Until then... Do your best...
    • For many of her earlier present-day appearances, Sasha only feels comfortable talking with Crafty whenever it's nighttime. This can be observed in episodes like "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped" and "LoveCrafty."
      • "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped" opens with a recurring dream of Crafty's, in which he and Sasha reunite out at sea on a dark night, lit only by a few stars and a nearby lighthouse. The darkness of the scene encapsulates both parties' mutual sadness over the current state of their relationship. The feeling is only amplified when they finally share an emotional conversation about the topic, after many similar dreams in which Sasha remained silent.
      • "LoveCrafty" details Sasha's first attempt at reconciling with Crafty, and it all takes place on a dark and stormy night. Her anxiety gets the better of her when Nurse is the one to answer her knock on the castle's door, leading to Crafty blowing up at Nurse when his frustration with Sasha reaches its limit. The rest of the episode maintains the dreariness of the night as both Crafty and Sasha relate their experiences with each other to Nurse and Disgustilda, respectively.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Sasha reaches her lowest point in the fourth part of "The Foreshadow Game." She's on the cusp of losing the titular shadow game to Bakura, and the pressure of trying to save Crafty and his friends' lives becomes too great. Her spirit ends up joining the rest of the crew in their Shadow Realm prison, and there, she crumbles apart. Notably, between sobs, Sasha alludes to a time in which she had failed Crafty once before—the first time in which their interpersonal conflict is ever discussed in the series directly. The scene retroactively explains why Crafty reacted towards his prior flashbacks of his time with her with such distress—whatever Sasha did, it clearly left him angry, bitter, and confused.
[Above the Crewmates, Sasha's spirit fades into view, wailing.]
    Crafty: Sasha!
[Sasha's spirit plummets to the ground, and Crafty hurries over to prop her up against himself.]
Crafty: Sasha, Sasha! Come on, talk to me! What's going on?!
    Nurse: ... Sasha?
    Messi: Okay, what? Who's that?
    Pepper: S-Someone we know...?
Sasha: [addressing Crafty, between broken sobs] I'm... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry. I can't beat him... I don't have the strength to fight back anymore! I've failed you again!
[The camera fades to each of the different Crewmates' reactions as Sasha continues.]
Sasha: It's over... It's all over. You're all going to be trapped here because I couldn't help you AGAIN!
[Sasha clasps her face in shame, unintelligibly crying all the while.]
    Crafty: Sasha...
Messi: What is she talking about?!
Pepper: Do you have any clue what's going on, Nurse...? Nurse...?
[Nurse remains silent. Sasha suddenly pauses to take a breath, choking out her next few words.]
Sasha: This... This is what I get... What I deserve, for what I did to you... So why am I still crying? Why does it still HURT?!
[Crafty's flashbacks from across Season 2 depicting his time with Sasha briefly appear as Crafty takes in Sasha's words.]
Sasha: I... I wanted to win... I wanted to save you... And now... you're about to lose everything again... I ruined your life... I-I was always afraid I would.
Crafty: You still have life points, right?
    Sasha: *Cough*... What...?
Crafty: You've still got some life-points left. So the duel's not over. We can still win.
    Sasha: But... I can't. I—
Crafty: You can't. But I can.
Sasha: No, you can't... I've exhausted your body too much from the shadow game. If you try to fight, you'll—
Crafty: [coldly] 'Make another stupid mistake?' Yeah. Wouldn't be the first time, right?
    Sasha: ... I... I...
    Nurse: CRAFTY!
[The camera cuts further away from Sasha to show everyone present in the scene. Everyone has reacted to Nurse's outburst with alarm... except for Crafty. His gaze is fixated on Sasha, and it is intensely bitter; it takes him a moment to release it as Nurse explains her newest proposition.]
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Before Sasha's character is officially established in "Legend of Lonk"— and well before she appears in the present during "The Foreshadow Game"— she is built up gradually through many scenes throughout late Season 1 and much of Season 2. Many of them consist of Crafty's flashbacks, and they render Sasha's exact intentions with Crafty somewhat ambiguous through typical horror presentation choices.
    • Sasha quietly makes her debut in "I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost-Type," during a shared nightmare that a Mismagius forces Crafty and Nurse to experience. It is viewed through Nurse's perspective as she watches Crafty pleading before a silhouetted woman standing before him. Nurse can readily identify Crafty... but she immediately assumes the worst from the then unidentified Sasha, so she tries intimidating her away from him. The dream abruptly ends when Sasha snaps her head in Nurse's direction, and neither Crafty nor Nurse comment on what happened further. Apart from the Boogieman's appearance in "A Song of Ice and Fire," this scene is vastly tonally separated from everything that came before it, and it serves as the first hint of a greater narrative behind Dr. Crafty beyond its functions as a speed-art series.
    • The mere mention of The Shape of Water in "Hocus Mansion" induces the first of many flashback sequences from Crafty. This one shows the moment in which he met Sasha: it was back in his teenage years after she had just rescued him from drowning. When he regained consciousness on the shore, he found her staring at him from above. Something spooked Sasha away before Crafty could give her his thanks, leaving him to contemplate what this kind stranger had just done for him.
    • During "Life as a Teenage Pokémon," Crafty scoffs at the designs of the Sinnoh Starters, unimpressed by how they represent the divine beings that inspired them. Something about the way he voices his criticisms makes Nurse legitimately curious about whether he's had firsthand experience with gods, which Crafty confirms. What follows is a brief flashback appearance of Sasha in her human form shifting from her disguise.
Darksilvania: Gen 4's Torterra represents the Great Turtle, one of many animal-gods found in tribal myths. Empoleon resembles the European concept of the divine king. Meanwhile, Infernape is an obvious reference to Sun Wukong or Son Goku, the Monkey King of East Asian mythology.
Nurse: [genuinely] Ohhh~! This is sooooo cool and interesting!!
Crafty: Pbbbt, please. As if those are fitting representations of divine beings.
[Nurse frowns at Crafty at first, but as he finishes, she lights up with curiosity.]
Nurse: ... Do you have experience with gods?
      Crafty: ... Yes...
[A flashback of Crafty's begins, accompanied by a rendition of Lavender Town's theme. A blue woman with long hair stands with her back to the viewer. After a few seconds, she turns to face them... Before she abruptly transforms into the many-eyed creature that Crafty encountered in prior flashbacks. The dream ends as abruptly as the woman changing her appearance...]
      Crafty: ... Intimately...
    • The last episode that builds up Sasha is "Aqua Marina," which has a flashback that follows the one from "Hocus Mansion." Soon after Sasha's rescue of him, Crafty was taken to the nearest hospital to recover from his injuries. When night fell and he tried going to sleep, Crafty was suddenly started awake by a crack of thunder, which revealed Sasha's hand against his room's window, complete with an eye leering at him from within her palm. With another crack, Sasha suddenly enters the room, standing before Crafty and greeting him somewhat ominously. Despite the threatening presentation of the scene, the flashback in "Legend of Lonk" would soon reveal that Sasha meant no harm; she simply wanted to keep Crafty company and grow acquainted with him during his hospital stay.
  • Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: In her human disguise, Sasha bears a pale complexion with dark hair. She's quite personable and is a fundamentally good person, but almost everything about her is surrounded by an air of melancholy. Much of this sadness originates from her conflicted relationship with Crafty. But as she herself explains to Crafty in-person during "We're Back! A Crafty Story," her species' legacy—their relics, their impact on divine society, and the people who seek to exploit their remaining power—weighs upon her just as much. Her feelings have grown worse now that she's realized that her two biggest problems in life have long since intersected. Not only has Crafty taken refuge within an Infinian castle, but Sasha also unknowingly outfitted him with an Infinium Heart many years ago; both have only discovered it in the preceding "I Need a Hero Academia." These qualities render Crafty a high-priority target for the power-hungry Mindstein.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: In her Infinia form, Sasha can summon additional blue eyes across her entire body. However, she always has two eyes visible on their typical humanoid locations, which remains true for her human disguise.
  • First-Name Basis: Because of her deeply personal history with him, Sasha always addresses Crafty by his real name, Colin. This is how Crafty immediately recognizes Sasha's letter to him in "LoveCrafty" as being hers. All other mail that he receives throughout the series addresses him by his stage name.
  • A Form You Are Comfortable With: Sasha's human form was conceived on the spot when Crafty brought her home with him to meet his parents, which is shown in a flashback during "This is Crack(ship)." Howard and Vinny are completely convinced by the disguise, and it became her default form ever since in the present day.
  • Humanoid Abomination: The show makes it abundantly clear that Sasha is an eldritch monster who dons a human disguise. Just what she is turns out to be extremely important to the show's overarching conflict with Doctor Mindstein.
    • Many of Sasha's earlier appearances in flashbacks place great focus on her many eyes and tentacles while downplaying her human characteristics. The "Hocus Mansion" flashback does so by rendering her entirely in silhouette, never showing her below the shoulders. That way, her only recognizable qualities are her eyes—several of which flicker into view just before she leaves the scene—and her many wriggling tentacles.
    • It's not until "We're Back! A Crafty Story" that Sasha explains just what she is to Crafty after the series hinted at her species for so long. She's the sole surviving Infinia, a powerful divine species that has existed since the dawn of time and, prior to the Divinimachi, had just about every other deity in a stranglehold thanks to their Infinium Relics. It's thanks to her and Crafty that the one of the seven relics detailed in legend, the Infinium Heart, exists, and she's dedicated much of her life to protecting it and whatever Infinian technology remains from falling into the wrong hands.
    • Sasha's first model sheet notably has some production notes explaining that even her default appearance is a disguise. It's simply what she dons so that mortals can comprehend her. It's not depicted on the model sheet, but the notes darkly allude to a true form that has a lot more going on with it visually.
  • Indy Ploy: In times of strife, Sasha tends to be very good at acting on her feet, which is especially helpful whenever an initial plan backfires. She'll simply use the most immediate resources that she has, figuring out where to go from there as she navigates past any new obstacles that appear.
    • Throughout "The Foreshadow Game," Sasha is playing against Bakura in their Duel Monsters match with Crafty's deck, as she's participating by possessing Crafty's body, and he has it on his person. Bakura uses a themed deck centered around the El Shaddoll archetype with a defined strategy in mind. In stark contrast, there's no strategy unifying the components of Crafty's deck; it's just a collection of his favorites. But Sasha makes good use of what she has, often retaking the advantage from Bakura whenever her prospects look grim. She ultimately almost loses the fight, but by the time she relinquishes control of Crafty's body to Crafty himself, she's left Bakura in such a disadvantaged state that Crafty can finish him off with ease.
    • Partway through the climactic fight with the false Mindstein in "I Need a Hero Academia," everyone involved in the conflict discovers Crafty's Infinium Heart right as he's reaching his limit. Sasha finds out about it through her psychic link with Crafty; the dire circumstances leave her with no choice but to briefly commandeer Crafty's body from afar, helping him parry Mindstein's attempted killing blows. Crafty is caught off-guard by Sasha's influence, but she urges him to keep fighting with her help rather than engage in mental conversation with her. This leads to Sasha giving Crafty a power boost for his final blow on Mindstein, thanks to the Heart.
  • Last of Her Kind: Long before Sasha even met Crafty, most of her species was wiped out; to her knowledge, she is the sole surviving Infinia, something that is commented on occasionally.
    • Bill Cipher drops a hint about this information in "Titans! REBOOT!" There, he finds himself cornered by Sasha within Crafty's mind, and upon recognizing her, he blurts out his shock at seeing an Infinia in the flesh after so long.
Bill: WHAT THE HECK?! YOU?! WHAT'RE YOU DOING HERE?! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!!
    • Sasha gets to elaborate on the state of her species to Crafty in "We're Back! A Crafty Story!" As far as she knows, the rest of her species participated in the Divinimachi, a war between deities who either accepted or rejected the Infinia's powerful influence over divine society. She, meanwhile, cloistered herself behind the Infinium Door—the very same one located in Crafty's castle basement—until the conflict was over, whereupon she rebuilt her war-torn universe into what it is now.
  • The Maker: While explaining the history of her people to Crafty in "We're Back! A Crafty Story," Sasha reveals that she is effectively the goddess of the entire Dr. Crafty Universe. During the Divinimachi, she was locked within the Infinium Door for her protection. Once the conflict ended, she was around to clean up the aftermath and restart the universe anew. Once she was finished, she went dormant deep beneath Earth's oceans for several millennia, leaving everything to progress without any more of her influence. In the present-day, a young Crafty plummeting into the sea stirred her awake, and she hasn’t returned to such a slumber since.
  • Morphic Resonance: Sasha is capable of Voluntary Shapeshifting, but her different forms always have some recurring traits. Chief among them is that she'll always be tinted blue, which is mentioned on her model sheet. Meanwhile, episodes like "We're Back! A Crafty Story" demonstrate another constant between her forms: she retains her pointed fangs when disguised as a human, and like her default form, they generally stay hidden unless her mouth is open.
  • My Greatest Failure: Sasha's single biggest regret in her long-lived life is how she vanished from a young Crafty's life without a word, which did a number on his mental health. The exact circumstances behind her departure and what Sasha does to try reconciling with Crafty are elaborated upon throughout the series.
    • During her Shared Dream with Crafty in "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped," Crafty ends up driving Sasha to tears when he angrily rants at her for leaving him. She's far too flustered and hurt to explain her entire reasons behind her choice, but she does explain the one that contributed to her regret the most: during their time together, Crafty's mental state started to deteriorate again. Sasha felt like she was contributing to the problem; because she felt ill-equipped to handle the situation and wasn't confident enough to admit as much to him, Sasha silently vanished to parts unknown. In hindsight, she realizes that her lack of communication ultimately did more damage than the alternative; she regrets breaking Crafty's heart to this day and hopes that he can find it in him to forgive her.
    • "LoveCrafty" shows Sasha's first real attempt to bridge the gap between her and Crafty. She has traveled all the way across North America to deliver him a note of hers in-person, but she gets cold feet when Nurse answers the door instead. After placing the letter in Nurse's hands, Sasha takes off. Soon after, Crafty learns that Sasha had come to see him after Nurse explains the letter, but he becomes too distracted to read it; the frustration of just missing Sasha leads to a therapy session between him and Nurse. The letter isn't revisited again until "We're Back! A Crafty Story," in which Sasha gains the confidence to see Crafty in the flesh. She once again expresses her regret over her past choices and reveals that her letter thoroughly explains herself. However, by this point, neither she nor Crafty are willing to restart their relationship so soon; she gives Crafty time to think over his decision. Not being nearly as caught up in the past as he used to be, Crafty opts to hold off on reading the letter until after Season 4 is complete.
  • My Significance Sense Is Tingling: Thanks to her psychic link with Crafty, Sasha is able to detect if his life is in peril. "The Foreshadow Game's" first part establishes this ability in its first scene, where Sasha is first shown in the present day. She's able to sense that something is off from all the way in California, and she immediately speeds off to Crafty's castle in Florida to see what's going on, working hard to save his and his Crewmates' lives from Bakura thereafter. This ability ends up becoming a point of contention for Crafty in the succeeding "Crafty Hearts Re: Grouped"; he calls Sasha out for not appearing to him on-demand during her fifteen-year absence, despite how much she says she cares about mending their relationship. The fact she only did so when he was in danger led him into questioning her true motives for helping him.
  • No Mouth: Sasha's default form doesn't appear to have a mouth. However, she does have one; it just only shows itself during certain expressions. It first appears in "Legend of Lonk," specifically when a flustered Crafty makes her laugh and visibly smile. This quality is carried over when she briefly possesses Crafty's body in "The Foreshadow Game," while it's dropped completely for her human form, which bears a visible mouth at all times.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Perhaps to emphasize her divinity, Sasha is frequently drawn with two full sets of fingers, whereas everyone else has Four-Fingered Hands.
  • Old Flame: Years before the show started, Crafty and Sasha used to have a deep romantic relationship, which ended after a short time when Sasha suddenly left Crafty without a word. Both of them still harbor feelings for the other, but neither is without uncertainty. In Sasha's case, she refuses to address the breakup with Crafty for quite some time, going out of her way to avoid him in person unless his life is in danger. Her approach to Crafty is purely a means to avoid confronting and worsening her guilt over the matter, but she steadily works past her fears as the series progresses.
    • "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped" establishes a recurring Shared Dream between Crafty and Sasha. Both of them find themselves out at sea together, but Sasha refuses to engage a frustrated Crafty in conversation. At first, this episode's dream is no exception, which infuriates Crafty immensely. Sasha's reappearance back during "The Foreshadow Game" opened up even more pressing questions about her whereabouts, yet she still feels unmotivated to speak until Crafty loses his temper. He rants at her for only coming to his aid to evade further guilt and nothing more, prompting her to lose her composure and redirect the discussion towards his selfish outlook on the conflict before the dream ends. Even so, Sasha doesn't forget Crafty's initial points against her; the last scene in the episode shows her traveling to Florida, hoping to overcome her fears and face Crafty in person—her first step to achieving much-needed closure.
    • "LoveCrafty" shows Sasha's first attempt to reconcile with Crafty. She wrote a letter explaining her reasons for leaving him all those years ago, and she hopes to deliver it to him in person. She gathers the courage to knock on Crafty's door, but when Nurse is the one to answer, Sasha loses her nerve and leaves the letter in Nurse's hands. She dashes off into the rainy night, leaving Nurse to deal with Crafty's freshly-unearthed frustration with Sasha herself. Despite her initial plan falling through, Sasha does find a nearby cottage owned by Disgustilda, who takes her in as a roommate and decides to help her work out her relationship troubles with Crafty.
    • Another opportunity to meet Crafty in person presents itself in "I Need a Hero Academia" Part 3, when he comes to Disgustilda's cottage for her help in saving his Crewmates from Mindstein. Yet, for the duration of Crafty's visit, Sasha keeps herself hidden. While Disgustilda accommodates Sasha's decision, she immediately expresses her disappointment in her the moment Crafty leaves. Even though the present circumstances make for an unideal time for her and Crafty to share a heart-to-heart—something that Disgustilda ultimately admits herself—Sasha concedes to Disgustilda's points, and she decides to at least help her with her battle plan for Crafty.
[Crafty and Class 1-A have left Disgustilda's cottage. The next panel focuses on a door behind Disgustilda.]
Disgustilda: You can come out now, poppet.
[Sasha exits Disgustilda's closet, looking very ashamed.]
      Sasha: I'm sorry... I... just couldn't—
[Disgustilda interrupts by pointing a finger at Sasha]
Disgustilda: I ain't happy with this! You're gonna have to face that boy sooner or later!
Sasha: But... I... I was scared that—
Disgustilda: Scared of what?! That you’ll hurt 'im again? Or are you really scared of bein' hurt, if he rejects ya?!
      Sasha: I... no... That's—
Disgustilda: That there boy’s probably scared half to death right now. You think he's hidin', though? Nahhh, mate. He’s runnin' in there, guns blazin'. I’d actually respect 'im a little if I didn’t already hate 'im as bloody much! And you say you love the boy! Well, if you do, you've got a funny way ah showin' it, mate!
[Tears well up in Sasha’s eyes and she starts conceding to Disgustilda’s argument.]
Disgustilda: With what that lad's tryin' to do right now, he'll be lucky if he makes it out alive. If I was you, lass, I'd start havin' a good, long think about what that boy means to you. Now, if you excuse me, I got a strategy to conjure up!
      Sasha: W-WAIT!
      [Disgustilda pauses.]
Sasha: ... L-let me help you... with the battle plan. It's the least I can do to help him.
Disgustilda: I suppose it's for the best. If you went with him right now, it'd just be more drama. Not the time for those kinda theatrics at the moment.
[Disgustilda flashes a thumbs up at Sasha, who looks on with eager anticipation!]
Disgustilda: Alright, Sasha, me girl! Let's get this done!!
      Sasha: R-Right!!
[The two friends set right to work. Judging by her hand gestures, Sasha is already directing Disgustilda with some ideas.]
    • After being consumed by her fear for so long, Sasha finally decides to speak with Crafty face to face—not in a dream, but in the flesh—at the beginning of "We're Back! A Crafty Story!" Crafty's own character development works in tandem with Sasha's newfound courage to allow them to speak with each other far more calmly than ever before. After filling him in on some vital information regarding her race and the legacy that they left behind, Sasha reminds Crafty of her letter to him and presents an offer for them to retry their relationship in the future. She then leaves Crafty for him to make his decision, refraining from appearing in Season 4 again thereafter.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Sasha's actual name is a mystery; what she goes by now is only a nickname she made up after meeting Crafty's parents, and it's the name that she goes by ever since. She explains in the "This is Crack(ship)" flashback that humans would have to add 400,000 more letters to the alphabet to spell her real name.
    Crafty: 'Sasha's' good, then.
  • Out of Focus: Season 4 is very conservative with Sasha's appearances, with her only appearing in the present during "We're Back! A Crafty Story" and the ending flashback of "Happy Crafty Day!" The former episode provides a justification for her absence. After meeting with Crafty face-to-face for the first time in years, she leaves him with an offer to restart their relationship whenever he's ready, opting to give him space to think it over instead of forcing a result. By this point, Crafty is no longer hungry for closure regarding his initial breakup with Sasha, so he decides to hold off on making his choice for now and instead focus on starting his show's fourth season. Sasha only comes up again near the end of Season 4 in "The Villainous Turnabout," when Disgustilda almost reveals to Crafty that she's her new roommate.
  • Physical God: She's been described as a goddess by Crafty, and she certainly has the power to back it up.
  • Psychic Block Defense: One of the benefits of Sasha's mental connection with Crafty is that she can protect his mind from mental attacks from afar. This ability is first demonstrated in "Something Weird This Way Comes," with Bill harmlessly bouncing off of Crafty's head after trying to enter it. Sasha's blurry, glaring silhouette briefly flickers into view, silently explaining why Bill failed. He sets about trying to figure out why he couldn't enter Crafty's head throughout the rest of Cartoon Month, and he learns for certain that it was Sasha's doing when she voluntarily allows him inside Crafty's head in "Titans! REBOOT" so she can entrap him and kill him on the spot.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Sasha looks to be about as old as Crafty in either of her two forms. However, as she reveals in "We're Back! A Crafty Story," Sasha has been alive well before the dawn of this show's universe, which was created by her after its predecessor (and to her knowledge, the rest of her species) was annihilated during the Divinimachi.
  • Species Surname: Sasha' human persona's surname is "Infinia"—the name of her species. No one makes the connection between this name choice and the arcane race until "LoveCrafty." There, Nurse watches a news broadcast about the disappearance of Californian film director Sasha Infinia, who, soon after, appears at the castle's doorstep to give her a letter for Crafty. When Nurse returns inside, she meets up with Crafty, who spots the letter in her hand and sprints off to meet Sasha, upon which Nurse makes the connection between the Sasha she met in "The Foreshadow Game" and the one from the news.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's about seven and a half feet tall, and Crafty finds her rather attractive—enough so that they made love only a short time after they met, according to the flashback shown in "LoveCrafty."
  • Symbiotic Possession: Through her mental connection with him, Sasha can spiritually intervene to help save Crafty out of a tight spot, with her accentuating his inner strength with his blessing.
    • For most of "The Foreshadow Game," Crafty's rendered unconscious by the invading Bakura. Sasha commandeers Crafty's lifeless body to confront Bakura in his shadow game, in hopes that beating him will save Crafty and his Crewmates' lives. In the climax of the special, Crafty ends up regaining control of his body, is commandeered by Sasha for the majority of Bakura's shadow game Unlike the Millennium Ring's more hostile possession of people, Sasha possessed Crafty's body with the intention of getting him out of danger. And after that, her possession remains in Crafty's mind to protect him from other gods and monsters who threaten to hurt him.
    • In the climax of "I Need a Hero Academia," Sasha briefly puppeteers Crafty's body from afar just as it begins giving out during his fight with the false Mindstein. Her help quickly earns Crafty the advantage, and she powers him up for one final blow, specifically channeling the energy from his freshly discovered Infinium Heart to do so.
  • Tentacle Hair: In her default form, Sasha's head has several lengthy tendrils attached to it, and each of them is dotted with her countless signature Infinian eyes. Being a shapeshifter, Sasha can make these tendrils be whatever length or style she wants; she generally keeps them long, but the flashback in "Legend of Lonk" shows her keeping them short during her visit to Crafty in a hospital. The same episode shows Sasha moving some of these tendrils around to express herself. Meanwhile, in her human disguise, these parts of her are translated as extremely lengthy hair.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: Crafty's height of over 6 feet is by no means tiny, but he's still a foot shorter than Sasha. The two of them once dated many years before the show started, but the relationship ended abruptly. How Sasha and Crafty deal with the fallout is one of the series' biggest overarching conflicts.
  • Visual Pun: Sasha belongs to a race of eldritch creatures that wouldn't be out of place in an H. P. Lovecraft story. And, for a time, she was Crafty's girlfriend. In other words, she's Love-Crafty-an! The pun is acknowledged in the title of "LoveCrafty."
  • Wealthy Philanthropist: After breaking up with Crafty, Sasha became a relatively successful person in many respects, which is discussed a few times throughout the series.
    • "LoveCrafty" reveals that she became a Hollywood film director. It's heavily implied that she's very successful at what she does; a news report covers her in missing person's case. Her departure from California since "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped" was completely unannounced, but she's such a high-profile figure in the area that the locals noticed her absence almost immediately.
    • In the Hero Month Spin-Off Special, Crystelle elaborates on the other activities that Sasha does in addition to her directing career: she teaches guest lectures in local colleges, donates to charity events, and participates in volunteer work.
  • What Is This Feeling?: Having secluded herself deep beneath earth's oceans since the dawn of the universe, the vast majority of human emotions were deeply foreign to Sasha. However, when she awoke to save a young Crafty from drowning, he helped her understand a broad spectrum of feelings. Sasha's developing knowledge of them became both a driving force and a source of conflict for her relationship with Crafty, and the series explores those consequences frequently after she's formally introduced.
    • "Legend of Lonk" has Crafty experiencing a flashback to when he and Sasha formally meet in his hospital room. At one point, Crafty grew a bit flustered, and an endeared Sasha began laughing so hard that she shed some tears. It's at this moment that she learned what laughter is, and this moment ends up endearing Crafty in return. He invited her to come home with him, and the flashback in "This is Crack(ship)" reveals that Sasha took him up on his offer.
Crafty: So... The doctor said this is my last night here. I have to say, you've been really good company. I mean... I probably wouldn't even still be here if not for you.
      [Sasha beams.]
Crafty: I... almost made a really stupid mistake. I almost...
Sasha: You almost died... Seeing you last night... was like watching a candle give in to a roaring wind. A single... tiny, flickering light, threatening to go out at any moment and leave the world in darkness. Something... Something inside me screamed out, 'Don't let that light die out!' So I let that tiny glimmer of light guide me. And I found it led to you. And to be honest... I've actually rather enjoyed being in your company, too.
[Crafty gazes upon Sasha as if he's about to cry with joy.]
Sasha: You're so.... So... So utterly ridiculous and weird.
[Sasha's last words make Crafty's demeanor do a complete one-eighty.]
Crafty: [blushing and deeply flustered] 'Ridiculous?!' I'll have you know I'm an absolute delight, thank you very much!!
[Sasha lets loose her heartiest laugh yet. It lasts for several seconds, and Crafty calms back down and looks on, amused.]
Sasha: [Between laughs] Wh-What is this...? Wha...? Why am I... Is this... laughter? Hahahaha—
      Crafty: Come home with me.
      Sasha: ... What?
Crafty: When they let me go home tomorrow, I want you to come with me...
[Now, it's Sasha's turn to blush. The two stare at each other in loving silence as the scene fades to white.]
      Crafty: Well? Will you...?
    • "Crafty Hearts Re:Grouped" begins with a Shared Dream between Crafty and Sasha. As he had done in many prior dreams like this one, Crafty presses Sasha on why she suddenly left him without a word, and for the first time, she actually responds to him. His resulting persistence ultimately drives Sasha to tears. While she's too frustrated to explain her entire reasoning behind her silent breakup, she does explain that some of Crafty's behavior scared her, and she, unsure of how to process fear, chose to run away instead of talk things out with him, something that she chides herself for ever since. Before the dream ends, she also stresses how, unlike what Crafty implied in "The Foreshadow Game's" final part, their relationship was never a mistake, at least for her. Her feelings for him—the ones that she learned through her experiences with him—were and still are very real.
Crafty: ... So... not gonna say anything like always?
[Sasha looks away, ashamed. Crafty finally turns to look at her.]
Crafty: Fine. I’ll talk, then. It’s always been the same thing, every single night for fifteen friggin’ years. We both sit here, not saying a word to one another. Then all of the sudden, you show up in my life again years later! And even then, here we are again. I guess some things never change, right?
      Sasha: ... Colin... I—
Crafty: Oh, so now you wanna chat, do you?!
Sasha: ... Colin, please! You don’t understand.
Crafty: Of course I don’t understand! You ran off without a word all those years ago, then show up out of the blue and expect me to understand?!
Sasha: Colin, you were in danger. I had to—
Crafty: Ohh, I see! Didn’t want someone else stabbing me in the back like you did, huh?! That’s a deed only you’re qualified to do, is that it?! So glad I understand that!
Sasha: No... It’s... not like that!
Crafty: Oh really now?! Seems all it takes for you to come swooping back into my life is for me to be in mortal peril!
Sasha: Colin, please, listen for once!
Crafty: Maybe I ought to just fall off that cliff again and see if that gets you running back, huh?!
      Sasha: STOP IT!!
[A crack of thunder sounds in the distance, and the shock of both it and Sasha’s outburst knocks Crafty flat on his back. Thankfully, he’s still on the boat. Sasha, meanwhile, has lost her composure.]
Sasha: This! This is why I had to leave! Because I couldn’t stop what you were doing to yourself! You almost threw your life away that day we met. And I saved you that day when no one else would. There were so many wonderful times after that. Knowing you... Being with you... Falling in love with you. All these... All these wonderful feelings and emotions I’ve never experienced before. But then... I could see what was slowly happening to you, the things you were doing to yourself. You were going to throw your life again, I wouldn’t be able to save you this time – because, it was going to be my fault...
[Sasha takes a moment to choke back tears.]
Sasha: ...If I had stayed, you’d be making another stupid mistake! I was scared, Colin. In the near-infinite numbers of years I existed, I’ve... I’d never experienced fear. I didn’t know how to save you from yourself, so... I did the only thing I felt I could: I ran. I ran and did everything in my power not to turn back, no matter how much my heart was screaming at me that I should stay. And every day since, I wallowed in regret and heartache because of how much I still adore you.
[The camera pans over to Crafty, taking in every word Sasha is saying and clearly feeling regret over snapping earlier.]
Sasha: But... look at you. You’ve grown so much. Every time I see your show, seeing you create what you have... I feel a warmth in my heart knowing you’ve become a stronger person, with friends who support you... love you... Even if it meant being without me, I don’t think I can ever be forgiven for what I did. So if you can’t, I understand. I never wanted to hurt you. But I’m so, so sorry for the scars I left on your precious heart. But... if you find it in your broken heart to forgive the terrible things I’ve done to you, I swear that I will never let another wound like that ever be inflicted on you – not from me, or anyone else!
[Sasha pauses to let her words sink into Crafty.]
Sasha: ...The sun’s coming up soon.
      Crafty: Huh?
Sasha: So, wake up. Have a good life. And... and maybe... think of me... if you want. I’m always going to be thinking of you.
      Crafty: Wait, Sasha!
Sasha: [whispering] And Colin...? I love you...
      Crafty: SASHAAAAA!!
