Much like in Doki Doki Takeover!, this mod takes place after the third act of the original Doki Doki Literature Club!, so it's highly recommended that you play or at least watch up to that point before playing this mod. As such, all spoilers for the original game are unmarked for this article. You Have Been Warned.
"Welcome back to the Literature Club, BF! I've been reading this new manga lately, and I really think you'd like it! Of course, Yuri told me it was rather childish, but honestly, what does she know?! The nerve of that girl... Maybe I'll mention it to Monika- she really seems to grasp my interests exceptionally well. After all she's practically the smartest one here!"
— Natsuki
Funki Funki Karaoke Club! is a one-shot Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod created by fl0pd00dle, based on Doki Doki Literature Club!. It contains only one song: "Haiku".
You play against Natsuki in a karaoke match, and Monika and the girls are so excited to see you once again! Will you stay, or will you keep them waiting?
The mod can be downloaded on GameBanana here and on Google Drive here.
Hello, troper, I've been waiting for you...
- Art Shift: Being truer to its source material, this mod makes everyone look animesque in contrast to Doki Doki Takeover!, even Boyfriend.
- Bishie Sparkle: Boyfriend's down pose makes him hilariously make a bishonen-like expression, complete with sparkles.
- Demoted to Extra: Girlfriend solely appears in the Game Over screen... and gets killed via a Neck Snap when you retry.
- Dissonant Serenity: Boyfriend keeps his smug smile even after Monika deletes everyone. Considering he's basically a Fearless Fool (or maybe even Conditioned to Accept Horror, at this point), it's not really surprising.
- Downer Ending: No matter what you do, Monika deletes everyone, including Boyfriend... for real.
- Easter Egg: See that "waiting?" above in the description? Click on it (or touch it with your finger, if you're on your phone). There's more than meets the eye...
- Mood Whiplash: It wouldn't be a DDLC mod if it didn't have this. If you've read the novel after the third act, you know what happens next...
- Weapon-Based Characterization: Natsuki's microphone's capsule resembles a cupcake with a cat face that Natsuki bakes, also representing how she likes "cute" things.
