The first-tier amateur baseball team of America, consists of elite players chosen by Drump.

  • The Ace: Their team is said to consist of among the best baseball players in the US, and it’s not just some flavor talks. Four of their members are chosen to represent the country in the WABC, and win.
  • Eagleland: They comes from America, and while initially presented as prideful, obnoxious and greedy (the case with Drump) pro players who looked down on Japan, they are genuinely talented and become good-hearted people after their Heel–Face Turn.
  • Graceful Loser: They take their loss against Doras surprisingly well, even saying that they owe Doras a thanks for helping them realize what flaws they’re having. Though this is after their Heel–Face Turn, it makes more sense.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After Bave reminds them of how fun baseball actually is, the whole team becomes more pleasant and starts to persuade Drump into healing Shiro’s shoulder so that they can have more fun.

    Drump
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/c355f809_314a_4843_b557_a67deae71789.jpeg

Position: Pitcher, Right fielder (temporary, WABC)
Jacket number: 13

The team's captain and pitcher, a man of manipulation and slyness who initially appeared as a recurring rival from the other side of the world. He used to be a delinquent in New York City before meeting Babe and becoming a baseball player.

  • 13 Is Unlucky: His jacket number is 13, and he seems to bring a lot of bad omens with him.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Even though his original purpose when approaching Bave was to trick him and take his money, Bave’s genuine kindness and supportiveness got to Drump and they became best friends.
  • Character Development: Drump was originally introduced as a Jerkass American baseball player looking down on Japan and only hell-bent on making a powerful team and winning everything, but after being defeated by Doras, he becomes a nicer person who respects his peers and plays baseball for fun instead of focusing on winning. Even when he seems to return to his old ways in the WABC arc, he has an excuse for it (see Hidden Heart of Gold below).
  • Freudian Excuse: Being left by Babe, who was his first real friend and the one who got him into baseball at the first place, seemed to have done a number on him.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Just like many other Jerkass rivals in this series, Drump eventually gets reformed and becomes Doras’ valuable ally. It just took him a little longer than others.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Drump, during the WABC arc, seems to go back to his old Jerkass Smug Snake personality. It turns out that Babe, his old friend we see in the previous episodes, became badly wounded and hospitalized during a baseball match and this is why he became so determined to win the WABC tournament for the sake of Bave.
  • Insufferable Genius: Definitely a talented baseball athlete, but is also a real piece of work (at first).
  • Jerkass: In his first appearance. He is extremely arrogant and openly looks down on his opponents, and will often resort to dirty tricks in order to get strong players into his team.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Matures into this after Kings' defeat against Dora's. While still a jerk sometimes, he is much more pleasant and respectful.
  • Knight of Cerebus: His appearance shows the darker side of the sport industry that Doras is stepping in, where people will manipulate and even injure others just so their team can be the best.
  • Manipulative Bastard: In the first moment he appeared, he already manipulated Shiro into using a difficult pitch that ended up injured his shoulder when Shiro refused to join his team. Then he provoked Kuro to join Devil Kings in a match, using the temptation that he had a doctor who could cure Shiro’s shoulder soundly, so that he can ultimately recruit Kuro as a member of Devil Kings.
  • Playing Card Motifs: His skillset is named after playing cards and gambling terms such as Q Ball, Royal Straight Flash, and The King of Spade. Makes sense when you know he used to gamble before taking up baseball.
  • Positive Friend Influence: Years ago, he was a delinquent causing troubles on New York’s streets until he met Bave - who directed his interest into a more healthy subject that was baseball.
  • Reformed Criminal: More like a delinquent than outright criminal, but he used to cause all sorts of trouble in New York and do things like racing, snatch-and-run and gambling before he met Bave.
  • Smug Smiler: Most of the time, he has a smuggy smirk on his face to show that he is superior.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: He lost his composure when facing Pakuemon’s round body after he ate too many dorayaki, as it reminds him of his Best Friend Bave. Doras uses it to their advantage and caused him to miss multiple times.

    Randy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dd3f0547_5e80_4812_835a_2dd30cd31696.jpeg

Position: Catcher, First base (temporary)
Jacket number: 3

Aimond's former teammate, he used to play for Lobsters before joining Devil Kings to cure his leg injury. He has been selected to represent the United States in WABC as a catcher.

  • The Ace: Used to be one for Lobsters, as he possesses great jumping power, excellent catching ability and an impregnable defense. However, since he was their Ace aka the reason they can win matches, as soon as he left them, the team was quickly disbanded.
  • Career-Ending Injury: During his days in Lobsters, he received a severe leg injury that rendered him unable to play baseball. After he took Drump’s offer, this is subverted.
  • Freudian Excuse: Drump’s offer to cure his injury was irresistible for a baseball player who was so desperate to be able to play again, but by accepting that, he also betrayed Lobsters and indirectly led them to their disbandment.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Aimond. They got better after the Doras VS Kings match, and appeared to have fully mended their relationship by the WABC arc.

    Roux

Position: Third base, Shortstop (temporary)
Jacket number: 3

A talented player. He is excellent in both attack and defense. He has also been selected to represent the United States in the WABC.

    Ryan

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/322ae60d_374e_4749_959c_4c60a59fc992.jpeg

Position: Shortstop, Pitcher (temporary), Second base (WABC)
Jacket number: 1

Although he is the team's shortstop, he can perform very well while playing as a pitcher. Has been selected to represent the United States in the WABC, along with Drump, Randy and Roux.

    Mark

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/27c8b283_e42f_4c8e_be65_65b964386c04.jpeg

Position: Right fielder, Third base (temporary)
Jacket number: 5

The team's personal doctor. While his baseball skill is not noticeable, he’s very good at his intended role.

  • Affably Evil: Downplayed on the Evil side. While he raises no objection to his teammates’ Jerkass tendency or Drump’s questionable way of doing things, assuming he has no problem with them, he is actually quite affable when talking to Doras, and Shiro said that Mark cured him passionately. He also looks joyful when Shiro shows himself to be fully healed.
  • The Faceless: His hat covers the upper half of his face. Subverted as we get to catch a glimpse of it later on, and he’s shown to wear glasses.
  • The Medic: Weirdly enough, as their member, he’s this for Devil Kings - a baseball team. He’s said to be highly-skilled and able to cure any injuries - it only takes him half an hour to cure Shiro’s Career-Ending Injury.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Given that he is a doctor, he must be very knowledgeable. And he wears glasses.

    Bave
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6672e2e1_d03b_4cf1_aeef_2c586e2b5625.jpeg

Drump’s Best Friend and the founder of Devil Kings. However, he has long since left the team as his baseball skill can no longer match the other members and becomes an umpire instead.

  • Black Bead Eyes: He only has 2 dots as eyes, which make him look both cute and ridiculous as the same time. When he wears the Cool Shades - a part of the usual umpire getup, he looks more serious as they’re hidden.
  • Can't Catch Up: The reason he left Devil Kings. With Drump being a genius and recruiting more talented people, Bave’s mediocre baseball skill just couldn’t fit in anymore.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: To Drump. The reason Drump reverts back to his former Jerkass, glory seeker self in the WABC is because he wants to fulfill his promise to win the Cup with Bave, who suffered a head injury some times ago that put him into coma.
  • Nice Guy: He’s very sweet, and can reform Drump - a delinquent at the time - by his genuine kindness alone. When they meet later, he also reminds Devil Kings of how fun it is to play baseball.
  • Spell My Name With An S: His name is pronounced in Japanese as "Beibu", so it can be written that way, Babe, or Bave.
