Although introduced as a serial dater who never falls in love, he develops feelings for Felicia before dating her as of Season 3.

  • Power Incontinence: It would appear at least some Divus struggle to control their powers when they first receive them: Violet’s telekinesis is initially triggered by strong emotion and Greg struggled to get a hold his teleporting powers when he first acquired them. Vulpini mentions James helped her to control her powers when she first became the Vulpes Divus.

Vulpini Foxx

Alex and Felicia's sister. She owns her own tech company and loves to pull pranks on her brother.
    Olivia Aves

Canis Lupus-Foxx

The current Lupus Divus. Married to James Foxx. Canis loves her husband very dearly, but feels very lonely because he goes on a lot of business trips. She deeply values the love of her husband and his family since she was forced to leave her birth family when she gained her powers. She kept her powers a secret from her nieces and nephew due to the shame she felt over her abilities.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: The design of her face changes in Episode 26. The reason for this was because the stop motion puppet needed repairs, and because the creator wanted Canis to look closer to her stated age.
  • I Have No Son!: On the receiving end of this. The Lupus family casts away the Divus in their family because they are ashamed of their ancestry. Canis has a negative view of her powers because of this and is grateful for the love showed to her by her husband’s family.

The current Felis Divus and eldest of the five Felis siblings. Introduced in the first episode as Kaiyo, a mysterious figure with amnesia who bonds with Vulpini Foxx over the fact they both have powers. She is later revealed to be Violet Felis, who left one day and didn’t return.

  • Identity Amnesia: Introduced to the series has having this. Is able to regain her memories thanks to Eland Alces’ healing powers.
  • Meaningful Name: Or rather, Meaningful Nickname: Kaiyo is an anagram of “yokai”. Yokai are creatures in Japanese mythology, and the design of the Felis Divus and their ancestor Mortus Felis is inspired by the Bakeneko, a type of yokai.

Deus

    In General
Deus are powerful god-like beings who lived for thousands of years. Although immortal, the invention of the Golden and Silver Cubes by Morphio Vulpes, which had the ability to make them mortal, lead to their deaths. In the current day, they were resurrected by James Foxx in “The Ritual”.
  • Back from the Dead: After the powers in every Divus line are depleted, they would have been resurrected naturally. However James Foxx devises a ritual to speed this process along to further his own plans.
  • Death of the Old Gods
  • Legend Fades to Myth: In the past, the Deus were worshipped as gods. In the present day, only their descendants really have any knowledge they existed. Even then, this information is often limited and the six families do not know of the others existence. Mortus Felis in particular is on the receiving end of this trope, he has become the subject of ghost stories which paint him as soul-hungry with a love for murder. Morphio isn’t happy to hear about his old friend being described in this way, pointing out that Mortus hated killing people.
  • Nature Spirit: Are physical embodiments of the force of Nature, much like the Deva in Hindu mythology.

Owl Deus with the ability to control emotions and ice. According to modern day myths, she is said to be the mother of all bird species. Many avian families can trace their lineage back to her and Aves is a common surname in the Divus world.
    Imperus Lupus

Imperus Lupus, The Emperor

Wolf Deus with the powers of mind control and super strength. He believed that wolves were the supreme species and took many as brides, sometimes through force.
  • The Big Bad Wolf: Based on this.
  • Bright Is Not Good: His colour scheme is dominated by neon pink and is a menacing character.
  • Meaningful Name: Comes from the Latin verb “impero”, meaning “I command”. Imperus can command others through his mind control powers.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Downplayed, he has pink eyes, but otherwise fits this trope. He is ruthless, cruel and uses his powers for terrible means.
    Mortus Felis

Mortus Felis, the Soul Taker

Cat Deus with the powers of soul-taking and telekinesis. Responsible for the deaths of Morphio and Emu.
  • Grim Reaper: His design and powers evoke this. According to myths, he wore a black cloak hiding a skeletal body and roamed the world looking for souls to take.
  • Meaningful Name: “Mortus” is Latin for “dead”,
  • Soul Eating: Is described as eating souls in the story Pyrus tells about him at Halloween. This is likely to be untrue though, since a lot of the myths his family held about him are revealed to be false by Morphio in "The Wedding".
    Sano Alces

Sano Alces, The Oracle

Moose Deus with the powers of healing and giving/receiving visions.
    Lectita Scurius

Lectita Scurius, The One Who Waited

Red Squirrel Deus with the powers of mind reading and teleportation. Lived significantly longer than the other Deus, only dying 20 years before the main events of the story. She is the mother of Gregory and Penny.
