Sprinters
Sprinters are heroes that share the same hero action, they dash. However, what varies is that they have different dash attacks. They can run up to key points earlier than other classes and capture them.
A lone infamous thief who steals all the gold and treasures around the world.
He is cursed when he steals a treasured sword from the ruins of a serpent god.
- Achilles' Heel: Reliance on his poison lifesteal in order to fight head-on. Should he be unable to use it for various reasons (be it being controlled beforehand or an enemy hero cleansing his poison), he can be easily killed within the span of a split second.
- Evil Weapon: The sword he has stolen is the reason why he can suck the life out of his enemies at the cost of literally no defense.
- Life Drain: His hero ability "Yaslek Roof" does this against enemies he inflicted with poison.
- Limit Break: His hero skill "Rana Asifa". He rushes ahead and puts up a circular strong poison field to surrounding foes. This has an outer area and inner area. Foes in the Inner area take more poison damage
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Don't let his (literally) 0.00x defense fool you as he packs a lot of survivability than one would glimpse at his stats simply thanks to his lifesteal mechanic against enemies he poisons. If he hits the entire enemy team in a typical 3v3 matchup, he's virtually Nigh-Invulnerable as his vastly increased Life Drain can outpace the damage he takes from them. The only other way to kill him is to either catch him off guard before he can take advantage of his skill kit or deal high enough concentrated fire that can easily cut through his Healing Factor such as using rapid cards like School's Ruling Student Council Executive Department (which he will take 100% damage from if unguarded), being pulled into Tesla's wall, or from Luciano's Instant Kill hero skill.
- Poisonous Person: His cursed sword allows him to poison enemies when doing a dash attack.
He plays video games 24 hours a day.
- Godlike Gamer: He plays video games every day, mainly retro ones and he is absurdly skilled at them.
- Herd-Hitting Attack: His hero skill hits all enemies nearby over time. Its duration ends when Atari takes enough damage.
- Heroic Second Wind: His hero ability "Quick Restart" grants him a temporary speed buff whenever he respawns.
- Limit Break: His hero skill "Monster Circus" summons little video-game monsters that surround him in a small circular area, damaging anyone near him. This wears off if he takes too much damage
- Jack of All Trades: His multipliers are 1x across the board, making him suited for any good deck composition.
- Meaningful Name: His name comes from a vintage real-life console of the same name, given that he plays a huge collection of retro games while his surname (translated to Cross in English) refers to the d-pad.
- Starter Equipment: He is the first hero you get in the game.
She is analyzing how humans fight.
- Critical Status Buff: She moves faster when her health drops below 50% thanks to her "Emergency Evasion Program"
- Didn't Think This Through: Unlike dying, the teleportation from her hero skill is immediate so if you used this near the enemy spawn point, you're in for a world of pain if you don't hightail it.
- Limit Break: Her hero skill is "Reboot Sequence Start". She creates a huge circular area and counts down for 7 seconds. Once the countdown reaches zero and enemies are in her area, they get teleported to their spawn point. During the countdown, her defense is significantly boosted so she won't die fast when using this skill. Enemies using hero skills can't be teleported.
- Mascot: She shows up on this game's icon and her theme plays out through the home menu.
- The Protagonist: She is the main character of #COMPASS, managing fights and fending off threats.
- The Rival: To Bugdoll.
- Robot Girl: She is a female robot with valuable AI.
- Stone Wall: She has some of the highest defense in the game and her hero skill increases her defense even further while active.
- Weaponized Teleportation: Her hero skill teleports nearby enemies who are not using their hero skills back toward their spawn point 7 seconds after its activation.
Now searching for her late family, she wanders a different world.
- Armored But Frail: Due to having very low 0.50x health multipliers alongside very high defense, she can be easily killed by anything involving huge damage or pierce cards if caught off guard.
- Demonic Possession: She is possessed by 2 "evil spirits". One is known by the name of Muma, who controls her body with marionette-like strings, while the other is only known as Phantom, characterized by chains around her body.
- Flower Motif: Her name is based on the French name for common poppy.
- Lightning Bruiser: Her playstyle encourages this if she initiates the fight, offsetting her low health by reducing her enemies' stats.
- Limit Break: Her hero skill "Inferno Shireker" gets Muma to create an Area of Effect that gives anyone in the area a harsh overall stat debuff that lasts for a short amount of time. Enemies using hero skills won't be debuffed
- Status Infliction Attack: Her skill kit relies on debuffing the enemy by reducing their attack stat for 7 seconds with her dash attack combined with her ability "Sleeping Beauty's Slumber" and significantly weakening them with her hero skill. Both ignore guards
- Violation of Common Sense: While she has one of the highest defense stats in the game, she doesn't seem to wear any armor or other means of protection whatsoever.
"Jumping" is his skill.
- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: He is a hero and a dasher who can jump.
- Jack of All Trades: Like Atari, he has balanced multipliers that allow him to field any kind of good deck.
- Jump Physics: He can jump whenever he stops dashing that also comes with a Ground Pound that knocks down nearby enemy heroes that happen to be in his landing area. When you enter the stage maker, he can Double Jump whenever he's not moving.
- Limit Break: His hero skill "Hero's Tactics" gives himself and all allies a random benefit that lasts for 8 seconds. They could be a +200% attack boost, a 100% guard, 120% Healing Factor, or reset cooldown on all cards.
- Non-Standard Character Design: Compared to the rest of the roster, he's the only hero that consists of blocks.
- Sdrawkcab Speech: His voice lines are spoken backward to invoke him being a video game character instead of an actual person.
- Shock and Awe: His hero ability "Hero's Thunder" brings down a thunder strike if he hits an enemy with all 5 normal attacks. This is also affected by any stat boosts or debuffs.
- Shout-Out: A pixelated hero with upward spiky hair, a sword and shield wearing a crown that has a gem on it, slaying down blue slimes could remind some of the Hero from Dragon Quest III.
- Token Mini-Moe: By far the smallest hero in the game and his blocky profile adds to how cute he looks.
With her live broadcasting and fan club, she's not exactly hiding.
- Alliterative Name: Kirara Kiryuin.
- Death of a Thousand Cuts: While her attack multipliers are subpar, she makes up for it with some of the fastest attack speeds in the game.
- Highly-Visible Ninja: Subverted. While she can turn herself completely invisible while dashing, her public persona on the other hand doesn't hide her occupation.
- Invisibility: Almost played straight. Her hero ability "Shadow Release * 88th Formula Distortion Camouflage (Trial Ver.)" allows her to be undetectable from the minimap, however, Kirara herself isn't completely invisible as the only thing that prevents her from doing so is that her silhouette remains detectable from closer distances, likely for game balance. Only hero actions like Luciano's Backstep Shot or Sol's Grand Viper could hit her while invisible.
- Summon Bigger Fish / Limit Break: With her hero skill "Fire Release * Commanded Fire Dragon Summon (Released Ver.)", she summons a flaming dragon with her hero skill, goes to the closest portal key from its spawn point, and then travels alphabetically. It can One-Hit Kill any unsuspecting enemy hero who will collide with it.
- Weak, but Skilled: She is by far the only character whose stats are all below 1x, but she makes up for it with her stealth and her hero skill.
A special bird whose feathers, tears, and blood are all black. He loves colorful things and searches for strong colors to paint them in pure black.
- A Handful for an Eye: His hero skill and dash attack apply blinding ink that obscures the screen for a few seconds on the enemy.
- Armor-Piercing Attack: His hero skill deals piercing damage while his hero ability decreases his pierce cards' cooldowns.
- Bird People: He is a walking, talking bird that loves to cover colorful things in ink.
- Buffy Speak: Talks in this way."I, Nanigashi. You, Human?"
- Foil: To Joker from Persona 5. They are both black-clad sprinters who have abilities that revolve around elements. Joker's ability knocks down opponents when he hits them with an advantageous attack if they are weak to Joker's element while Nanigashi has no element at all, bypassing Joker's ability.
- Cool Mask: Wears a white mask. He can take it off when he is on the home menu or if he has the least amount of points in the winning team
- Interface Screw: His main gimmick is covering the screen with his ink.
- Limit Break: His hero skill "I have a special skill" fires off continuous waves of ink in 5 directions that also counts as an Armor-Piercing Attack and covers the majority of the opponents' screen for 9 seconds
- Non-Elemental: His hero ability "I have Black Ink" also makes him the first hero to not be affected by the elemental triangle, allowing him to use any card and not be susceptible to elemental disadvantage from non-HS attacks and abilities like Matoi's fire damage+ or Joker's dash attack (unless he has Arsene out).
A lover of mischief, being the youngest of 5 siblings.
- Combat Pragmatist: Due to specializing with trap cards and laying ambushes yet low defense, it's generally advisable for him to not fight with his auto attack as it doesn't have the DPS to trade against heroes who do rely on it. Instead, he would fare better with a more Hit-and-Run Tactics approach, disrupting enemies to either buy time, defend a threatened portal key, or, lay an ambush to inflict a large disadvantage for him to finish them off.
- Deadly Walls: The barrier he can set up acts like this to any unfortunate enemy hero caught during its activation and he can drag them all towards it as well if he has a card that pulls them towards himself.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Half of his costumes invoke this, namely with clothes of girly designs, designs from female characters of other franchises, and fellow tropers Chihiro Fujisaki, Felix Argyle, and Ruka Urushibara (though in a different timeline, Ruka can be a girl).“Calling me a girl is bad!”
- Historical Domain Character: Loosely based on the inventor of the same name. He's depicted as the youngest of the 5 and all but him being sisters compared to the real Tesla being the 4th sibling and having an older brother.
- Limit Break: His hero skill "Tesla Coil Let's Go!" places down a Tesla coil and it can be used twice. When he puts down another one, a barrier from the two coils forms and lasts 9 seconds. The next time he puts down a third coil, it will connect with the last coil installed before. Any enemy touching it will be badly damaged, pushed away, and stunned at the same time. Ky and Accelerator are not immune to this. Since the charge is quick, multiple barriers can be formed in a match. This ignores height differences and will stay on their spot if they're placed on falling floors.
- Locked Out of the Fight: His hero skill's barrier can keep a potentially dangerous enemy teammate away from a protracted team fight or the entire enemy team from interfering for 9.5 seconds, which can be crucial when pushing toward an enemy portal key.
- Nerf:
- His barrier used to instantly kill the opposition when caught by it. It now only deals damage by 1.8x his attack instead. Given that he has the shortest hero skill charge requirement in the game, he was very strong because of it for a while.
- Since his hero skill was severely tamed by the nerf, this was later addressed by giving the wall an extra 0.5 seconds of duration and an extra second of stun duration alongside scaling the damage up to 2.4x.
- Power Fist: Comes with a pair of huge mechanical hands he uses in this fashion when attacking.
- Shout-Out: One of his tap animations has him say and display E = mc2. This is a reference to when he was called Einstein and had a gun as his weapon instead during development.
- Trap Master: His specialty is utilizing trap cards at faster speeds with -15% cooldown and instantaneous card activation alongside having 8 extra seconds (1.8 for Monolith) on their duration (+40% compared to other heroes' 20 seconds (7 for Monolith)). This also applies to his hero skill as it has the fastest charging rate in the game that allows him to create a barrier quickly, dealing damage to enemies while stunning and knocking them back if they dare touch it. Due to being a sprinter, this can and will catch the enemy team off guard often.
- Zettai Ryouiki: A good chunk of his array of costumes involve thigh-highs (often with garters) in combination with short shorts or a skirt going up to B or A-grade.
He the cool chubby dandy dominates the world by his private brand.
- Acrofatic: for a man who has a lot of flab, he can cover as much distance as other sprinters who are far leaner than him by simply rolling into a ball.
- Damage-Sponge Boss: Has maxed out health stat of 1.50x. Expect him to stick around for a while.
- Knockback: His dash knocks down unguarded enemy heroes upon collision.
- Limit Break: His hero skill " ' My Style' Ultimate Absolutely Strongest Really Great Secret Technique" has him chow down on a big feast, enlarging him in monstrous size. This boosts his Attack, Defense, Speed, and attack card ranges.
- Overly Long Name: His full name is Pierre the Ikassa-Maniaghi Facchinetti Lallala Lovelyaura Dragonactor Hideyoshi Maximilian Caloverie Björlund Mocchi-Mochi Marioge Margherita Wilfred Punit Puniatowski the 77th. Easily the longest full name by far.
- Super Mode: His hero skill temporarily increases his size and the performance of his cards significantly.
- Rolling Attack: His dash "Calorie Dive" has him roll into battle and deals increased dash attack damage proportional to the distance traveled, up to 8x thanks to his "Large Wheel Margherita" ability.
He caused a certain case and is escaping from the police.
- Bilingual Bonus: His name can also be written as Layer, a name shown several times from his IDs on his trailer and music video.
- Cool Board: He rides with a hoverboard in battle.
- Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: He has pale skin that makes him look like he could expire at any moment and gives off an eerie vibe.
- Expy: Of Steins;Gate's Rintaro who is also in this game.
- Limit Break: His hero skill "Secret Order" summons a transparent version of himself to chase down the nearest enemy. Upon contact, it will explode and create a swirling area of plasma that stuns enemies even if they're guarded or they are Ky Kiske.
- Noodle Incident: Whatever he did tipped the police into chasing him, but the reason behind it however remains unknown.
- The Paralyzer: His hero skill and "Mystic Arts" ability stun enemies upon contact.
