Contestants:

In general:

Hanger (she/they):

Polaroid (he/him):

  • The Voiceless: He's only able to communicate by printing out pictures.

Record (she/her):

  • Friendship Trinket: She has the apple that Tissues gave her at the end of episode one.
  • Shrinking Violet: She's very shy and anxious during the introductions in episode one and is reluctant to have a picture taken of her in the opening.
  • The Woobie: Because of her shyness and anxiousness around the other contestants.
  • "X" Marks the Spot: During episode three, she and Tissues follow a map to find the hidden treasure: an octagon.

Peanut (he/him):

  • Nice Guy: He's a pretty kind person and very amicable to the other contestants. This ends up being why his team is safe from elimination in episode one - Tissues gave him an apple because he seemed nice.

Pilly (he/him):

  • Cute Is Evil: His beady eyes, tiny body, and synth voice makes him pretty cute, but he can be more of a Jerkass than Limey sometimes.
  • Hidden Depths: Apparently, he's a doctor and has a PhD.
    • A more heartwarming example at the end of episode one, read below.
  • Jerkass: Partially subverted by the ending of episode one, when Pilly encourages and comforts Record, even though that leads The Delinquents to elimination.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's pretty obviously evil, but the moment where he helps out Record is really sweet.
  • Pet the Dog: Read above.

Limey (he/him):

Kit (she/her):

Rosey (she/her):

  • Nice Girl: Generally, she's very kind to the other contestants.
  • Suppressed Rage: She's prone to this, especially around Playdoh, who seems to really irritate her.

Tissues (he/they):

  • Cloudcuckoolander: He's never quite there in the head.
    I like trees. Trees are... green . . .
  • Comically Missing the Point: He's prone to this.
    Record: I-I-I'm warming up-
Tissues: That might be a problem. Do you have a fever?
  • Dumb Is Good: He's pretty dumb, but this still leads him to kindness. In episode one, when he gets the apples, he doesn't (immediately) give one to Record, his teammate, but he gives one to Peanut because he "seems like a good friend". Tissues ends up giving the other apple to Record, not so that they can win, but because he wants to be better friends with her.
  • Hidden Depths: He can apparently pause time, and he does so in episode one.
  • Incoming Ham:
Erasey: We need to find something circular to replace the missing "O".
Hanger: (hears a distant rumbling as a pirate ship approaches behind them) What the-?
Tissues: (yelling from atop the pirate ship) Yarrr! Ye seek the letter "O", ey?
  • Mellow Fellow: He's always very laid-back.
  • Simpleton Voice: He has a pretty slow and slurred voice.
  • Talk Like a Pirate: He does this for most of episode three, when he's pretending to be one.
  • "X" Marks the Spot: During episode three, he and Record follow a map to find the hidden treasure: an octagon.

Spraypaint (she/her):

  • Ax-Crazy: She constantly carries around a knife with her and looks like she's about to stab Tissues in the intro. Limey, when recruiting her for his team, notes that she seems like she'd "commit a lot of evil crimes".
  • Les Yay: With Kit.

Playdoh (he/him):

  • Blatant Lies: He creates an entirely different version of how he and Hanger found the apple, complete with reinterpreted versions of the two to fit his giant ego.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: During the entirety of episode two, he's controlled by Pilly, who uses this control to sabotage The People and get Playdoh caught as quick as possible.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: He claims the Recovery Cube won't get an octagon for Rosey because it doesn't like her, but he'll get an octagon immediately. He then promptly asks for an octagon, only for the Recovery Cube to respond with "YOU ARE A TIRESOME ANNOYANCE."
  • Jerkass: While he is loveable due to his constant hamminess, he lies to Hanger and is just a jerk all around.
  • Large Ham: The most egregious example would be when he throws himself on the ground, sobbing, simply because Daddy Long Legs forgot the challenge.

Eraser (they/them):

  • Non-Answer:
Hanger: How'd you know they got an octagon already?
Erasey: My name is Erasey. And I am an eraser.
  • Simpleton Voice: He has a pretty monotone and dull voice.

Others:

Daddy Long Legs (he/they):

Cheeseburger Childnote
