"It's nice to meet you, Commander. I'm the repair ship Vestal. I was once little Enterprise's exclusive caretaker. Seeing everyone live healthily is my joy."

  • Lethal Chef: Maryland's login line has her talk about the smell of gunpowder before realizing that it's just Vestal cooking, which makes one wonder. The implication is contrasted by Enterprise in her 'Slow Ahead' chapter boasting about her (and Grim) being taught to cook by her and she with the starters make quite edible snacks.
    • There is also opposing bits. One being Enterprise's oath skin lines refer to Vestal having taught her well and 'Slow Ahead' having Enterprise say the same thing and the resulting food having no ill effects.
    • An in-game comic ultimately confirms that it's a subversion: her cooking is as loud as it is tasty.
  • The Medic: One of only two repair ships in the game so far, the other being Akashi of the Sakura Empire. Her main skill heals an ally at critical HP (only once per battle) and heals even more HP when used on Enterprisenote . Her other skill increases the party's stock of emergency repair kits outside of battle.
  • Not the Intended Use: Repair Ships like Vestal are often not used for their intended purpose (repairing your ships during battle) due to the fact their healing power is vastly inferior to other ships like Unicorn, Shouhou or even Ryuuhou; they are used as a mobile anti-air platform, literally, due to the fact that they have three auxiliary slots and two anti-air gun ones. Simply give Vestal (or Akashi) three High Performance Anti-Air Radar and two gold AA guns and she will become a very powerful AA ship that helps players a lot in higher worlds infested by planes.
  • Nun Too Holy: Her outfit is based on Catholic nun habit, including rosary mast, however she's closer to Hospital Hottie, and seems to have the hots for Enterprise.
  • Sexual Euphemism: While her tone never sounds overly flirtatious, it's hard to not read into her affection lines a least a little. As her affection rises she goes from mildly chastising the commander to being okay with treating them to some "spe~cial~ ser~vice~". By the time she's in love she's taken it upon herself to become their 24/7 personal doctor and when married she declares that now they can no longer reject her nursing, insisting that there's no reason for embarrassment and that they can leave everything to her.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Seems to have borrowed DanMachi goddess Hestia's boob ribbon... This is actually a bit of Historical In-Joke, as the word "Vestal" is a reference to the Vestal Virgins, virgin Roman priestesses of the goddess Vesta, who was the Roman counterpart of the Greek goddess Hestia.
    • Her swimsuit skin is even outright called "Refreshing Hestia" and has the same color scheme as the Hestia of DanMachi, so it's quite likely none of this is a coincidence.
  • Team Mom: While she mentions that she was Enterprise's exclusive caretaker, she is also concerned about the well-being of her fellow shipgirls. In the anime, she is implied to be the exclusive caretaker of the Yorktown-class sisters, as she is seen tending to a crippled Yorktown. She also reprimands Enterprise for her reckless behavior, and Hornet for her table manners.
