Let's rock.
Considering it's set in the same universe as Hazbin Hotel, excellent musical scores and full-blown musical sequences were to be expected. And oh, does Helluva Boss certainly deliver on this expectation.

First Season

  • "Oh Millie", written by Parry Gripp and sung by Richard Steven Horvitz and Erica Lindbeck, is a cute little love song from Moxxie to Millie, which shows off just how much he loves her for being her... including how much of a murderous psycho she can be. Overall, it's rather soothing to listen to despite the lyrics.
  • In spite of what Moxxie thinks of it, the "I.M.P Jingle" is extremely catchy and sums up both the company and the show in around 30 seconds. Some fans expressed disappointment that it was not made the show's theme song.
  • "Stolas Speaks", written by Jefferson Friedman, is a haunting melody that is, as evidenced by the title, Stolas's theme music and plays during important scenes of his.
  • "You Will Be Okay", the lullaby Stolas sings to a young Octavia, is absolutely beautiful and really captures the feeling of a parent promising their child that no matter what, they will always make sure they are okay. The line "When creation goes to die, you can find me in the sky" is especially stunning.
  • "My World is Burning Down Around Me" by the band "Fuck You Dad" is an Emo song that manages to capture the teenage Octavia's feelings regarding the current situation with her parents. The extended version goes into a bit more parody territory, what with the repetition of "It's Not a Phase". A cover version by Melanie Estrella, however, manages to get even sadder, going further into Octavia's feelings and her wish to have Stolas back in her life.
  • "Loo Loo Land", a catchy song sung by none other than Alex Brightman! Brightman brings the classic Beetlejuice energy to the song and it also shows off Fizzarolli's personality very well, complete with him ripping off "Inside of Every Demon Is a Rainbow".
  • "Vacay to Bonetown", the song Verosika uses to incite a beach orgy, is an incredibly sultry and soothing song about inviting the listener to enjoy having some sexy fun-time together. Cristina Valenzuela does an amazing job giving it a sensual feel that really has it seem like her singing alone could make people want to have sex even without any need for succubus magic.
  • "Mustang Dong", the song Blitzo is singing along to at the start of "Spring Broken", is a celebrity break up rock song with hilarious lyrics and horse metaphors; no wonder Blitzo likes it.
  • "The C.H.E.R.U.B jingle" is just as catchy as I.M.P's own jingle and is a nice, modernized pop take on a Cherubic Choir, with plenty of Foreshadowing about C.H.E.R.U.B's true nature.
  • "Sweet Victory" is Striker's "I Am Great!" Song, and with his smooth voice and impressive guitar skills, you could easily buy anything he says.
  • "Moxxie's Bad Trip" is a score during Moxxie and Blitzo hallucinating from a heavy dose of Truth Serum, hence the name. The lyrics are Moxxie giving Blitzo a "The Reason You Suck" Speech while also admitting his own insecurities before he and Blitzo realize they have to work on being better to one another.
  • "Stolas of the Ars Goetia" is the epic version of "Stolas Speaks", which plays when Stolas goes into his terrifying demon form against the D.H.O.R.K.S to save I.M.P during the climax of Episode 6.
  • The background music that plays throughout the whole fight with the D.H.O.R.K.S. in Episode 6 not only gives time to introduce motifs for each character which fade into each other seamlessly, but also is a rocking, triumphant piece that really makes you feel like you're watching a Badass Crew.
  • "House Of Asmodeus" is basically a celebration of all the show's best singers, with it starting out as a wholesome love ballad from Moxxie to Millie, only for Fizzarolli and Asmodeus to hijack the song and sing about how they want no part in this wholesome love fest and are only into sex. Blitzo tries to jump in, only for Fizzarolli and Verosika to turn it into a "The Hero Sucks" Song. Every part meshes together perfectly and really highlights the talent of the cast, especially as Verosika's section is her typical pop fare, only for the song to return to the more Broadway-esque tempo afterwards without skipping a beat.
  • Though it's short, the end credits music for episode seven is the perfect somber, heartbreaking melody to cap off the series' first Downer Ending.
  • "Cotton Candy" has Kesha and Rochelle Diamante giving it their all for the ultimate party song, with Queen Bee in her element.

Second Season

  • "Stolas Sings" is a beautiful lament from Stolas that, in spite of being rather short, has him perfectly sum up his emotions and how he views himself as a fool for letting himself believe he could actually fall in love. The song itself was also an unintentional(?) example of Enforced Method Acting as the composer Sam Haft stated that Bryce Pinkham was actually crying during the take. It was so sad that the test audience involved was crying as well. If one listens carefully throughout the series, the song is actually Stolas' leitmotif.
  • "Why Does He Hate Her More Than He Loves Me" is a beautifully melancholic instrumental piece that fits the scene with Octavia and Loona perfectly. It has a simple yet atmospheric tune that captures Via's sadness and frustration so well, along with offsetting the hellhound's more peaceful and mature side as she helps her through her grief. The way it starts up quietly, building up to a soft and bittersweet but still uplifting ending, is wonderfully done. It's hard not to get emotional as you listen to it, even without the brilliant scene that accompanies it.
  • "Crashin' A Muthafuckin' Wedding" is an epic country track that may as well serve as Millie's own personal theme song. With a fast paced tempo and a magnificent vocal accompaniment, it's the perfect song for Millie's big damn hero moment as she rips Crim's entire gang apart in a flurry of grace and brutality to save Moxxie from his so called family.
  • While Striker himself isn't too fond of the song, "The Ballad of Striker" more than sums Striker up, all the while sounding like something that one would hear in an old western movie.
  • "You Got the Power" is a fantastic metal song to go with Millie's great solo music show while Blitzo fights his sister Barbie and Moxxie tries to kill his target.
  • "Look At This", a manic musical number that Fizz has to pull entirely out of his ass for distraction's sake so Blitzo can work on busting them out of there. He switches genres to metal and even opera halfway through, bullshits the lyrics as much as he can manage (complete with Gratuitous Italian) and generally calls out for Blitzo to hurry the hell up, yet he's such a good showman he makes the song work.
  • "Klown Bitch," Glitz and Glam's Villain Song, is a techno-pop song. Fittingly for the rivals to master performer Fizzarolli, it's an absolute banger, extolling their appeal and adding to Fizz's anxiety because they actually ARE that good. Appropriate with their Informed Attribute of being clowns, and very much like Mammon's own clown aesthetics being only skin-deep, the song has absolutely nothing to do with being a clown'; its lyrics are all about greed, singing about their fully willing desire to participate in the financial and sexual exploitation Mammon runs his business empire on. All to convince the Deadly Sin himself that they should win, not because they're the "best clowns", but because they can better manipulate the masses out of their money, something that's far more valuable to him. For extra awesome points, the instrumentals are the same as the song used in the promotions for season two.
  • "Crooked" is a simple yet beautiful love duet between Fizzarolli and Asmodeus backed only by a single guitar, with the former singing about all of his anxieties and worries about both his life and his relationship with Asmodeus, while the latter assures him that he loves Fizz for who he is, not his fame or talent. Both singers are clearly putting all of their heart into the song and, even if it's not their normal style of music, they still both own it.
  • "Two Minutes Notice" is a triumphant ballad that starts out slow before exploding into energy as Fizzarolli finally tells Mammon both what he thinks about him and how he's finally quitting, all the while still putting on one final show for all of his fans.
  • "Just Look My Way" is a haunting lament from Stolas about how, as much as he loves Blitzo, he knows that he'll never be able to have a true relationship with him if they keep doing their monthly deals, but how he desperately wishes that Blitzo could see how much he truly cares about him, even if he's not good at showing it and how Stolas will do anything to prove that. Bryce Pinkham perfectly captures Stolas' feelings of heartbreak and desperation to fix things in hopes in song form. It is also composed not by the show's usual songwriter, but by Paranoid DJ, who had written the fan song originally before season 1, episode 7 aired.
